Thanks! I just recently diagnosed for this. And this problem caused me bad constipation, hemorrhoids and anal fissure. As result, I had 2 surgery for it. Now recovering for from 2nd surgery. My doctor did say that we will fix this after I recover. Everytime I want to poop, I always feels it stuck there and I can't feel my muscle working.

I need a Bowel movement every day as I never feel completely empty. This causes huge issues with my job as I can spend hours straining on the loo with minimal release. This is no joke. Even with Enemas, suppositories and liquid laxative sometimes they dont help and have their own side effects. Plays havoc on my wellbeing 😢

I wish I could get answers and help for my 7 year old little girl. She's had terrible issues since birth. What she goes through is awful and painful episodes. She has been on daily miralax since about 4 months of age. But when something goes on such as a doctor's appointment, school, and right now a dentist appointment almost two weeks ago her body is froze up and we are desperate to get this poop out.

Personally I have found my own magic bullet which consists of grinding up chia seeds, then letting a few teaspoons of them soak in a glass of water and wait awhile for them to expand. Then I drink the gelatinized seeds down with an extra glass of water. I also eat a few apples, kiwis and or carrots. Has helped a lot.

This is so helpful. I have had numerous surgeries on my back due to scoliosis. 75% of my spine has screws, pins & rods. Since my last, most extensive surgery 5 years ago, I've had chronic constipation. I've seen my gastroenterologist and never once has this come up. Seems like I've tried everything. I'll be talking to her about this next visit. Thank you.

I have the diabetes under control but as my retinologist has told me years of high sugar has given me "permanent " nerve damage. So happy for doctors that are going against the grain of traditional thinking.

I have to use suppositories. It always hurts my stomach more after I poop for a good half hour and always ribbon poop. Used to be a mix of ribbon and pencil and once in a blue moon a regular stool. But now, never normal, Always ribbon. I'm getting a colinoscopy in September, though, and much is due to my ventral hernia.

I was born 1 pound, 15 oz. Ever since I started eating solids, I could not poop on my own. I am now 26 and still have this lifelong issue of constipation. I have to take a stool softener, Miralax, for the rest of my life and if I miss so much as three or four days in a row, I can become constipated to the point where I can easily (easily here meaning my body will refuse and I have to just wait until it decides it want to go) go a month without crapping. (I think my "record" was roughly 35+ days in 2019 and on into 2020. Happy fricken new year.) ...Not joking... I am kind of living a nightmare. Parents (idiots) never took me to a GI Specialist, and I found this out when my smart doctor asked me about going to one. I finally have an appointment. My parents always said it was because I was a premie, and that may be so but it sounds like there is a chance I may be able to cure this. Also, my daughter of two and a half month has... or looks like she has... the same issue. That makes me very suspicious, and scared. I have never had any side-effects with my month-long constipation episodes. Only ever had one enema (never doing that again) never any infections, ripping, internal damage. ...I am pretty sure I am extremely lucky, though I have no idea what other people go through with this, so I do not know. Anybody out there have theories as to my case? Or anybody out there have the same experience? I'd love to hear from you!

Taking less opioids as a treatment is bullshit. More people are dying of overdose than of COVID 19 since they passed laws making it impossible to get therapeutic paid medication. Taking away our pills has forced millions of people to take street drugs which are killing all the people l love. Opium has been used for thousands of years the only crisis is taking medically prescribed opiates away.

Sence I was born I suffered with constipation until this day and it's really stressful I had to watch what I ate like no white flour , potatoes, chicken , fish , rice etc and watching people around me eat things that I couldn't makes it even harder as I got older I did my research and still end up in failure I hope that one day that what I'm struggling with can be history . 😔
