It looked like shit before. it looks like shit after.
Good job 👏 👍
Now I feel comfortable laying out a diagonal. Thank you!
What color pad would you use on an auto scrubber?? Green or blue or red or white??
I’m wondering if anybody could help me with some advice I’m going to build a house this year 4000 ft.² of concrete monolithic slab I work in the industry of polished concrete floors a number of times and I like the exposed look the most beautiful floor I’ve ever seen was black stained concrete, and it looked like it had diamonds in embedded into it, in a dark room with pot lights in the ceiling it looked like walking through space and the floor was covered in stars. It was incredible!! This is the look I want for my living room/pool table room area. I assume it’s quartz or some form of chunk of mirror or glass very reflective. That’s embedded in the cream at the time of pouring the concrete, but I don’t wanna move forward just on assumptions alone I’ve scoured the Internet and can’t seem to find anyone who has done the same thing. I’ve also reached out to the people at the museum where I saw the floor but nobody seems to know.. any help would be greatly appreciated.
Is that fort riley kansas in the first photo?
Love this. Thanks for the videos
I am about to order concrete for a new residential slab floor. I want to have a creme polish with matte reflectivity. I am stumped how to direct my concrete contractor to get me the quality of mix design that will achieve the floor I want. Sand, slag, fly ash??? What the heck does all that mean? One contractor told me to avoid a certain local ready mix company because they used a black granite sand in their mix and he knew I wanted a light-toned grey concrete. Any suggestions how to instruct the concrete contractor or ready mix company to mix my concrete?
Hello Wilheminia, did you get your queston answered?
It's like a 90s sitcom 😅
Watch the weather
Love your video I think I'm going to be in over my head for my skill level. More shitty carpeting for me. How about some different music. Thanks
No mask bro? That dust can’t be good for ya
Nice content, thanks
Hey. Where is the chart in the description. I have to cut 4’ diamonds into a pad I’m doing. Need help !
too bad its only tan or red based warm colors
I've been trying to find a grey solution for weeks. Any luck?
@@Ba0902 nope! as it starts gray, so
Pretty bad when the "STAMPED CEMENT" guys don't even know the difference between concrete and cement! You can't STAMP CONCRETE!
A lot of very important information in under 4 minutes 👍. Do you offer trainings for grinding concrete ?
Thank you for sharing, you guys rock!
spaulding...
Bob is King
great viewpoint for polishing contrators, thank you Bob.
Thank you for this, super educational and is helping me on an interview 👍
If the concrete substrate is extremely dense relative to the overlay, that overlay is not going to last. Today is correct the PSI of both materials should match. However you can use a high PSI overlay on the low density slab. Also these polymerized overlays don't stain well and you will see a discontinuity from the two materials. The exceptionist is if you use a coating over the entire surface.
What is the mix you used? Went on your website and couldn't find it. Thanks for the great video. 👍
Interesting: I worked in the Construction Industry for 60 years; accordingly, jargon is no problem!! We live in Philippines (Subic BAY) in a precast concrete house built in the 60's for the US Military Navy, by them, now the EXPOSED precast roof slab SOFFITES along the underside of the exposed roof overlap has in places spalled -- not too bad --- but pieces of concrete have fallen off, chunks, pieces, quite a few about 2 feet long by 12" wide an inch to two inches thick, exposing rebar. I am fully aware about your wise words regarding original surface preparation work and Sika products, which in the past I have used successfully, are available here. By all means recommend others if superior. My question/s is/are: what primer do I use on the original prepared concrete soffite to facilitate adhesion between original concrete and the repair material, and what sand and cement mix (Strength of MIX 1 to 1 --?? ) PLUS Cement ADDITIVE -- again what kind and type of PRIMER do I apply to the original soffites for good adhesion lasting repair. I assume I should clean and paint the exposed rebar with WHAT -- RED LEAD?? The condition of which is NOT BAD and then apply the sand and cement after priming the original surface. In total maybe about 10 to 20 % of the total surface area has been affected. Can you help ME????
The answer is a commercial grade concrete sealer
I’m super confused with the grout options. Blah
Why is it called a tripod stool?
What brands of solvent based or water based dye would you recommend for exterior application? Thanks in advance
0:30 for video start
What is the product you use that fills cracks as you pass over the crack by grabbing and mixing with the dust created by the polisher?
Thanks
Does polished concrete overlay require saw cutting control joints?
Just what I was looking for but you knew what strength psi your Original concrete was I’m thinking most of us don’t , Is there anyway to identify what ours is especially if we weren’t in the residents when the Spaulding began also did you cover what brand of products you used and were to purchase it ? Thanks in advance
Luke and Owen Wilson’s long lost brother
Entertaining and educational. Took me right back to the 90's.
Thank you for this . We actually sanded on our hands and knees with our orbital sanders using 220 to be safe and not over sand . Still had issues with the stain coming up in spots . We used Kemiko stain . I’ll try your buffer idea next time . We will rent one . Should I sand the parts that didn’t take and try again ? All I have is an orbital sander . What grit is best ? Kemiko warns not to acid etch it or over etch period due to leaching the minerals out of the concrete. I also have a couple of bucket / bottle rings 😱
The best vid for this out there!
Are there any other materials besides melamine it’s so expensive. What about a quarter inch sheet of paneling with a sealed side?
Regarding PPE - you may also need some face mask coverings, not just eye protection and gloves, such as a NIOSH mask or N-95 mask, because some cementitious material may contain crystalline silica in it. Crystalline silica dust is very dangerous to your lungs, and get enough of it into your lungs, it can lead to death.
What is air-entrainment?
Adding air bubbles to the concrete
Hi, I want to water stain the concrete floors in my house. I've already removed the carpets from all 4 bedrooms, I stripped all the carpet glue and cleaned the floors thoroughly. However the carpet glue left a shadow (darker discoloration) on the concrete floors!!! how do I treat this issue, specially since these shadows are right in the center of the floor from one end to the other!!??
Good video, thanks! But what was up with the red flashes?
And I'm pretty sure this isn't an accident that he goes hard on the cheese ball FX when "moisture" and "deep penetration" are used in succession. Just like him switching tack strip for cock strip wasn't a "slip her the tongue" "You see what I did her" That's enough I will sodomize her till she says stop, now! OK maybe not that last one
You hear that kids? Not all crack is bad! 🌈The more you know
I tried making this bench. I missed the first video on how to make the mold but it seemed pretty straight forward. Anyway, as I poured the third 80 pound bag of mixed concrete into the mold it came apart from too much weight. Any suggestions? Demensions were 15"x16"x16. Just plain old quickcrete mix.
Watched video before this one that says do not use tape as it leaves adhesive reside that will mess up the staining process. What say you on this issue because I'd really like to try the taping effect.
How long would a repair patch need to cure before prepping/etching to stain it? We've got several from carpet tacks.
Great stuff!
It's called a batch weight you clown
