  Does she think trans women are predators looking to rape girls? To conflate rapists with transwomen is shockingly ignorant. Disguising transphobia as fighting a war on women is pathetic. Sadly, she cannot even hear how ridiculous she sounds. Had a transwoman raped her, then I would understand, but that is not what happened. Without question, Mace deserves sympathy as a sexual assault survivor. Yet it is simply irresponsible to imply trans women are predatory rapists, which is what she implies repeatedly in the interview. Please do better.

  I am an Indian. I have worked and studied very hard in my youth (age of 20s, 30s) and had dreamt about living and working in the US at least for a few years if not permanently. But I could not find any opportunity through proper legal channels. Now I am in my 40s and don't have enthusiasm to try again. It was a huge dream at that time. Now, I see that illegal immigrants are being welcomed in the US to live permanently and some of these people might be potentially dangerous. Disappointing. US needs more leaders like Nancy Mace.
