Since I haven't seen the Orville in battle (yet... I'm gonna pore thru the show/YT and see if I can find some clips of her at Red Alert 🚨! 😁) As for the Protostar-class, those are the standard loadout of photons from the late 2370s - 2380s - less powerful than the Titan-A's from the 2400s but still poppin and screechin! (my fave torpedo sound effect! 😊) Looking through Memory Alpha's site for the Protostar-class, I found out that she uses Type 6 photon torpedoes - the same as the Intrepid-class! 😊 memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Protostar_class But when I get a moment, I'ma check the Orville out on Su- uh, HUlu 😉 and see what type of weapons she uses! Why yes! Yes, it was! From both nacelles - and if you look carefully, a bit of a stream of plasma from the port Bussard Collector! One of my good friends - who also has a channel and who does damn fine Starship work - let me get a newer untested version of Nano and the plasma streams occur more often than they used to! 😁 Greystar and I play a micro game we made up called "Blow 'Em Up Bingo!" and (for us) the 'free spot' in the center of the Bingo card are the drive nacelles! I have a coupla videos that feature Imperial Star Destroyers flipping end-over-end and/or spiraling trailing plasma... it's a prettiful sight! 😁 Thank you for the comment/question! The WMG is just too powerful to test on a Galaxy-class starship! Lol! 😂I did test it before I 'filmed' the battle and Captain Donald Varley didn't last 3 seconds! 🤦♂️ But there is another SBY coming soon and I'm gonna pit them against a few Galaxy's, Sov's maybe even the dreaded Galaxy-XX! @@tranzphaziktorpedo Star Trek was never about the space battles. It was originally about one man's ideal of utopia. Roddenberry was adamant about not having interpersonal conflict between crew members but as most people know, drama is what fuels fiction and nothing says drama quite like interpersonal conflict. Hence why so many of the most memorable Star Trek stories came after Roddenberry passed away. As for SBY versus the Borg? Those shock cannon would make a mess of any number of cubes and the wave motion gun would tear any Unimatrix apart if the Borg do not IMMEDIATELY flee. The ONLY way the Borg could win is to take the Yamato completely by surprise and board it before it can get its guns into action. If the Borg get drones aboard, the Starforce is screwed. If they do not? The Borg are screwed.
So it's just a matter of time and skill inherent to both parties! Lmao! 😂 And your memories of Trek History (or The History of the Future) are amazing! To the best of my recollection, the initial fit of the Yamato 2199 occurred during the Gamalon conflict. During this period, the primary cannons utilized solid rounds. However, following the second refit, energy rounds became the norm. The solid rounds were phased out entirely, and the shock cannons were upgraded with wave-motion cartridges, providing the main batteries with considerably more destructive capabilities.

Small suggestions for the hardpoint: - change the phaser icon to be set on the front with a front phaser icon - separate all the turret-pulse weapon icons to be a bit more spread-out Also, if you can, activate automatic test mode on teh configurations -> customize -> start up menu, open the console, and show us, something about the bridge characters being still suggests a problem with a particular ship not being found by the plugin file, and the sooner any bug is patched, the better.

Love the SBY Shock Cannon SFX - BUT you gotta find a way to get the Wave Motion Gun in too. 😉 (Also, if anyone who loved the original SBY series - find a copy of the 2012-2014 remake Space Battleship Yamato 2199 - it's a great re do of the classic SBY story. IMO)

I was blown away by the remake. The refit now has the Yamato with 6-shot capability for the wave-motion cannon.

I have SBY (2010) and another copy that's dubbed in English, but IDK if the OAV series is available with dubs... 🤔 But the influence this show had on Rick Sternbach and Mike Okuda was valuable to the naming of the Galaxy-class Yamato... Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension also gave us USS Excelsior's plaque quote, Avidyne Impulse engines, and the Yoyodyne Shipyards, to name a few... Do they use Canon torpedo counts in single player? Like for example do you get 250 photons in the Galaxy class?
According to the TNG TechManual, the 1st edition Galaxy-class has a complement of 275 photon torpedo casings. BC: Legacy Mod has a total of 260. 60 High Yield Photons and 200 standard loadout Photons. As for the Intrepid, she has about ST: VOYs series count of 90 casings! Lol! (she only started the show with 15! Shhh! 🤫 Lmao! 😂) IDK the Canon counts of the Sovereign-Class, but in game she has Quantum and Photon casings. The count is 200 Photon, 60 Quantum. The casings are not compatible, BTW. 🤷♂️ The Defiant has a dual load out as well, like the Sovereign-Class but the numbers vary. In Canon, she has an OG compliment of 96, the updated version has 64. 🤔 Seems kinda odd, unless the new torps have a larger yield. Hmm... The in-game version has a compliment of 60. Seems to be a magic number. Anyhoo, the Constitution-Class (TOS) canonically has a compliment of 75 in the show, but the Refit has a standard loadout of 100 (as seen't in Star Trek 6) in-game: TOS = 100, Refit = 144 Mk. VIIs. Kinda gross! Lol! Get it?! 😂 Sorry... Anyhoo, that's all I know about the Canon loadouts of the tactical projectiles! I hope it helps! 😁 Sorry to be so vociferous... It's baffled me for over two decades now how they mapped quantum torpedoes to the disruptor function if I'm not mistaken in pre-final release of kobayashimaru releases back in the day, it might still be the same now right? But I assume that's only in quick battle and I assume quick battle plus in remastered as opposed to legacy. I never really understood how they reconciled the ability to both fire quantums and photons without having to switch loads in quick battle

I get a lotta flack for this, but I use an Xbox controller for my helm and tactical needs! Hahaha! I know that it's easier for the other guys I know to use the ol' MK combo - Mouse & Keyboard - but I like to kick back and just hammer my enemies! Lmao! 🤣But the pulse part of the coding is a blessing AND a lot easier if one wants to do an old school "Alpha Strike" from Star Trek: Starfleet Command! Inside the code or each starship - foreign and/or domestic - is the option to have a pulse weapon included. That way, one can have the Venture-class refit (DS9) for example, have both quantum and photon torpedoes! Woot! 😂In some of my videos, you can kinda hear me pull the R-trigger (Torpedoes) and tap the mapped pulse weapon key! (BTW I use JoyToKey as my mapping program! Best $4.99USD I've ever spent on the computer! Not shilling for 'em, just a fact! Lol!😁) But it's all in the coding! My besties, Greystar & Hexa are coding geniuses!! They've taught me a lot and I hope to learn more from them! Again, sorry for being to talkative, but talking about this is a NOICE subject for me! In a perfect world we can switch loads or have simultaneous loans but with hard counts I want my quantums and my photons. I just don't want there to be an unlimited source lol. Maybe the high heel low yield can be played with? The legacy update definitely has that feature right?
