John Rutter, English composer and conductor, is associated with choral music throughout the world. His recordings with the Cambridge Singers (the professional chamber choir he set up in 1981) have reached a wide global audience, many of them featuring his own music in definitive versions. Among John’s best-known choral works are Gloria, Requiem, Magnificat, Mass of the Children, and Visions, together with many church anthems, choral songs and Christmas carols.

Thank you for this beautiful music
This is gorgeous. Thanks for posting it.
Love this! Great song
We rehearsed this separately, an all male and an all female choir. The performance was our first time singing it together and the first time I heard the actual female part. I had goosebumps at the point the female voices blended in...... (1:34 - 1:49)
Heavenly harmonies with inspiring and comforting words…..like angels speaking to my heart.
Came here from fammily guy
Our Bucknell chapel choir would close services with this in 1961/2. It has stayed with me ever since as a n emotional reminder of Gods love for us
Wow❤

My wife and I bought each other rings from Jerusalem with this verse written in gold around the rings in Hebrew. Gifts to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Can't imagine life without her or without the sovereign God of this universe. Beautiful verse. Thanks for sharing.
The Requiem is an absolute favorite to perform. It is enduring beautiful.
We sang this song at Chiredzi school in Rhodesia in the 1960s. It was different music but about the same lyrics. Rutter’s music wasn't out then.
Perfection!
❤❤
I have musical hallucinations - I hear music in my head. This morning when I woke up, this Blessing was playing in my head - a wonderful way in which to start to my day
Eileen.do you know what caused your hallucinations?
This song has been playing In my head the last 2 days! In college our choir sand this for a candle light service. I keep thinking of it so I had to come listen to it again!
madness interactive reloded
Song copy in solfa notation
I sang this when I was in choir class at the Uni, 20 years ago. I have goosebumps again. Beautiful work.
❤❤❤
Mu Soulmate introduced me to this Heavenly Music. Sadly, he passed away a month ago. May his beautiful soul rest in peace. Until we meet again. ❤
Sang this here in Germany with my daughter's school's Parent-Teacher-Former Pupil choir and the school orchestra. We all loved it.
Delightful album. Fantastic find for me during this mayhem of planet Earth.
Singing Feel the Spirit with my choral society this Saturday. Such a lovely change from the traditional choral works.
Improvisation on Shepherd's Pipe Carol? Wahahahaha.
Great christmas carol lovely
lovely, thank you!
lovely!✨
Szép!! Köszönjük.
Exquisitely beautiful!
Useful to hear as studying in our choir!😁
Thank you very much, Sir! From a Ukrainian
Wonderful ❤️❤️
Товарищь Джон, а где ты был, когда бомбили Донбасс? Хотя, это другое...
Family guy brought me🤣🤣🤣🤣
Its sad and pathetic I can only find this fulfilling sacred music on KZread but NOT at mass, not even in Holy Week because even then and especially then most parishes have to continue novelty, new songs etc. My Holy Week once AGAIN in 2024 was utterly disappointing because once AGAIN no matter where I go no one plays any of the standard and traditional hymns like this, but some novelty song. I spend year-round on KZread living in Holy Week Advent Lent etc. but in those actual seasons the music at mass is pathetic.
Thank you, John, for the gift of your music to the world - through Christ our Lord.
Fab tempo. This is how it should be done. 20 seconds quicker than the Kings recording despite this one having a 50 second playover!
I sang this as lullaby to my baby niece when she was born. This song does not need to be a funeral song as it makes more sense for new born babies!
Wow, I was looking for old English folk music and I'm so glad I found this gem, this is so beautiful...❤💚
To those who love this genre it is balm for the soul.🙏🏽
We sang this for my friend's Celebration of Life. It was an emotional day. Miss you, my friend.
Magnifique ✨♥️👼
Challengers brought me here.
A perfect antidote to he obscenity of Eurotrash vision
If you ask anybody what is their favorite Christmas songs they always name the common ones like Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Here comes Santa Claus, Jingle Bells etc etc. They don't know any Christmas songs like this one.
Wonderful!! I need to throw a big bear hug on somebody!!❤❤❤
Gorgeous piece, expertly sung
Amazing interpretation!❤
Thank you
