  I'm a bit confused, i was sure the 2016 models were alll C450's(not c43) and had no option for performance exhaust as well as the 7 speed instead of the 9 speed. Is this really a 2016 and not 17/18?

  The initial roll was 1.52m x 9.05m but I ran a little short on the rear bumper, so worth going a little extra in case of mistakes.

  C43/450 from 2015 to 2018 look astonishing, 2019 to 2021 look regular C class, but definitely better overall car than C63. btw tell those C63 owners that BMW M3 ain't "one man one engine" yet leave them in the dust.

  Hey! 2017 c43 owner here, have you had any issues with the transmission? mine has been feeling sluggish, for example, when I get in and drive off, the gear change between 1-2-3 does not feel smooth, I dont hear anything bad, but it feels like the car is just barely up to speed to shift into the next gear.

  I did find the transmission doesn't really like being cold. I used the AMG screen to monitor the temps and let it warm up a bit before asking it to perform. From memory it's a fairly agricultural gearbox, so I'm not sure we should expect the refinement of some if the later Mercedes fleet. But to answer your question, I never had any issues with the transmission in terms of faults or breakages.

  Nah mine didn't die. A friend has had that happen though on his S3 but luckily managed to get them replaced under a third party warranty. Seems to be more and more common now. May be worth approaching Audi.

  Tbh I haven't tested the 100-200. Engine wise, it's just intake and a cat back exhaust. There's a video of all the mods somewhere on the channel 😄

  how many miles? (in your case i think it'd be km) im looking at purchasing a 2017 C43 with about 40k miles as a daily driver. But its german, and i have a lead foot, so im worried about durability. Yours seem's to be lower mileage than that but im looking for a review @ like 75k miles (because id be driving it until it dies)

  Actually, mine was sitting at around 90,000km at the time of this video (around 56,000 miles). During my ownership, I had no issues at all aside from wearables such as tyres and brake pads. I think mechanically these are pretty bulletproof.

  @@deffinez9651to make u feel better, I purchased a used 2017 C43 AMG with 55k miles on the dash, I’ve put over 10k miles on it in 2.5 months and it hasn’t given me a single issue, it’s tuned by DME, has intakes and I drive it in individual or sport + over half the time I’m in the car and it has never once given me an issue ( knock on wood) it’s a great car and in my opinion the best bang for ur buck 😊

  I bought a 2018 c43 3 years ago and now have about 47k miles on it. I use it as my daily driver and no major issues. Tires only so far and I've changed the oil every 5k miles. Funest car I've ever owned... highly recommend it

  Actually, servicing is not that bad as it is a high production engine. Some places still slap on the AMG tax, so shop around. 👍

  Mine is a 87 944, I believe the mirrors are different. But how do you get them off from the door itself?

  Swivel the mirror outward (or inward, I forget) and it should reveal the securing bolt.

  Ohh that easy. So if I buy new or used ones, it's that simple to just swivel and tighten the bolt. Someone along the way modded another type Porsche mirrors but do not know which model. I do not know how to attach photos to show you

  Hi Mate, many great improvements. Iam in Perth as well and have had Phil work on a few of my cars, he’s a gifted gentleman. Sad to see the car go. I am looking at getting into a rs3, thought I might start with the older PFL model? Love the sound. Would love to hear your thoughts on the pros and cons rather than than the face lift model. Cheers.   Ah yes, the cabin is very well insulated so if your windows are shut it only sounds a little louder. BUT, outside the car sounds amazing 😄

  Great video, thinking about putting coil overs on my R53, however worried about stiffing up the suspension too much. How was the ride ? were you feeling the bumps alot ? Thanks

  Thanks. The ride quality will depend a lot on the quality of coilover you buy. Since mine are just cheapies, the ride is pretty rough, and I'll likely upgrade them at some stage. The biggest problem you'll encounter is clearance between the front coilovers and wheels, hence why I had to run spacers. Alternatively, you'll it have to factor in some appropriately offset wheels.

  @@frax77 Not quite sure I understand don’t the springs come with the maxspeedingrods. Weren’t you using the springs that came in the kit ?

  Yes, I did. The problem is that the factory springs are quite short so they dont come close to interfering with the wheel. The aftermarket coilovers use longer springs, so the lower mounting plate, or adjustment rings, are inline with the wheel/tyres. Pretty sure I showed this on the vid 👍

  Nice car, I’m an Audi person so I love my RS3 but I always loved the C63 also and wouldn’t say no to one. Surprised the had soft limiter back then it’s one of the things that annoys me with mine

  Also in WA and have been modding my R53 for a fair while, also Hyper Blue and White combo, I went with Koni yellows and Eibach progressive rate lowering spring with Kmac Camber plates and Whiteline sway bars and end links, powerflex bushes etc with 17 x 7.5 Rota grids and love it... hope i see this one on the road one day she looks great 👌

  That MINI was clean underneath! I put the OEM JCW exhaust on one of my R53 MINIs, but the best sound is by far from my R53 with the Malian exhaust. Funny, because it is a lot cheaper than the JCW set...

  Thank you for this video. I am from the United States and I own it a 996 and also a 911SC I’ve never owned a 944, but I do like them. I’m getting ready to paint my car and thank you for showing me how to disassemble the side mirrors but also I might even change them to something else but not sure. And I guess you’re from Perth Australia and if you are, I loved it over there on the west side? I really enjoyed myself. I’ve been over there maybe 23 times and I really enjoyed Perth Australia. Well once again thank you for this video!! I also live on the big island of Hawaii and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a 944 on the island but I’m pretty sure somebody owns at 9:44 on the big island of Hawaii🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
