  I agree that it would be a good item for Joanns if they even changed it a little more to make their unique version, but this one is basically an exact copy of a piece of art from a small business. I don’t think it’s out of line to want them not to do that.

  I doubt it's anything to do with copyright or legal issues. Joann's product is a solid poured resin chunk. Glass Art Stories' product is a hollow leaded glass piece. Completely different products, even if one is a cheap knockoff of the other. Unethical - yeah. Illegal - no. Even if the $700 skull is too much, they have some really cool suncatchers that are within most budgets.

  That may be true, it was just a possible reason since everyone was so confused by the skull being so limited and not on the website. Only Joann herself knows the real reason I guess!

  LOVE the stain glass skull! I love skulls so this would definitely be a year round decor piece for me. I definitely do not need any more H’ween decorations. I have way more than I need to decorate one house with.

  I knew someone would comment this. I’m not a saint, I already spent the money on the Joann’s one and I don’t have the money to buy the real one. But I think the smaller shop deserves to have their name out there at the VERY least, as everyone was so excited about this design and it seems to have been theirs originally. I am still going to shop at big box stores, but is it too much to also not want them to rip off artists?

  Listen folks: examine everything carefully this year. Shoddy paint, cracks, bad attachments, thin/cheaper resin from past years. Higher prices for cheapened goods is ridiculous. Do not just grab and go: look at the items before you put them in your cart. My store's items were ridiculous.

  I just got the skull AND the pumpkin with the same stained glass design. I love them so much. But yes it seems very limited. I believe the pumpkin is a replica of the meyda lighting glass pumpkin.

I think somehow Joanne's should give the proceeds of this lamp to the small business and they should make a collaboration where the small business gets 60% of the earnings and Joanne's gets 40%, since this item was clearly going to be a very popular item and f*cked us over.

  TkU for the update on the skull ! IMO, I don't believe anyone should be able to trademark or prevent others from producing stained glass skulls, though ! I'm a Halloween freak, and have all kinds of skulls, and I believe skulls are fair game to create as you please !! Just my thoughts ! TkU !

You had several items I haven't seen anywhere else(I watch loads of Halloween decor videos) that I am excited to pick up-a few were in your own haul.   Those outrageous tags. Doesnt surprise me one single nut though.i beleive they mark those proces so high bc theyre constantly doing 25-90% off deals. Just got to keep am eye on the sales. And wow i seen a tag already fpr 40% in this walk through. Crazy since theyre just stocking those floors with those Halloween items 😂 I whole heartily think this is exactly why my towna Joann's shut down this past January. Nobody in their right minds is going to buy items this high without sale tags. I must say I really liked their ghosts this year. Loved every one of them. I do meed to go to the mext town over and try to get my hands on one of the candy bowls you showed bc theyre all ADORABLE! Favorite was the ghost holding onto the black bowl but I'd be happy with any of those. Ive loved the mosaic moon pieces,bats and that big orange transparent pumpkin. Ohhh and that bat mirror was cute too. Anything themed the same around the mosaic though I'm in love with. Nice Walk through 👌🏻((ps. Your solar light is too cute to ne oitside girly 😊Your skull is 🤯🔥love it!!! Crazy nc I've seen these Halloween Joann walkthroughs and that skull hasent ever been on their site. 🤔 Maybe an employee would know something on that issue. ))

  I liked all the ghosts too! And anything with bats is always a win for me. And yeah they definitely intentionally make the prices high because they know everything is basically instantly going to be on sale. But even with the initial 40% off some stuff is still pretty high. I am definitely waiting on some things and hoping they will still be there when it goes to 60% off.

  I LOVED THIS VIDEO 🎃👻💀🦇 But let’s be honest - everything’s price with the 40% off is the ACTUAL retail price. I feel like Joann’s knows Halloween enthusiasts will pay whatever price they initially list with an “early discount”. Last year their stuff was ok but I didn’t see anything move off the shelves until their discount was 50-60% off. In a way some people are willing to wait. But I also feel like Joanns shouldn’t be trying to take advantage of its customers like this. 😕 I feel like I’ll be stuck in a waiting game. Do I get what I want now or wait and get it cheaper - with the possibility of it running out of stock before then? That’s the question.

  Oh yeah, for sure! And it’s not just Joanns, Michaels is like that too. I try to only buy the things that I really want the most at first, when like you said it is basically regular price, and then maybe I will go back and buy more once it is more on sale.

  You are not wrong, stuff is always so expensive, especially at first. Hopefully there is still some good stuff left when stuff goes super on sale closer to the end of the season!
