    In the corner there is a rubber grommet with a wire going through it. Carefully pull grommet out. There will be a 10mm nut to tighten behind it.

    All- let me simplify this.. If your rear spoiler is loose, and makes that annoying squeaking sound (like mine did for 2 years). Open the back trunk lift gate, on each side at the top is a black rubber grommet, remove it, with a 10mm socket and wrench (use a short extension) TIGHTEN the 10mm nut, reattach rubber grommet. Took me 5 minutes to do both nuts after I figured the above out...

    I have the 2021 model. Got the skid plate, bigger DMO pegs, precision motorcycle rear rack and about to put the M35 top box on it. I don't think the top box will be too big and plus I'm making detachable. At about 595 miles so far and this weekend after the last 5 miles doing its first oil change at 600. The XT 250 is a really nice bike and I'm enjoying it.

    Have to chuckle since I'm 5'7" and employed all your mods except for the shift lever. And they all were worthwhile.. You can add a bit of fork oil and or change it out with a thicker oil to help the front. Not much you can do for the rear except crank the spring. Or spend a lot to change it out.. Another inexpensive one is a 14T sprocket which is the best bang for the buck ( IMO ) anyone could make.. roughly $ 20.00 when I bought mine last year from Ebay.. Fritz Co makes them.. No, I don't work or get anything from them, just trying to help out.

    Can anyone explain to me why no Yamaha XT250 owners EVER make a video about performance mods? You can hear about hand guards, luggage racks, foot pegs, tires, grips, decals - everything in the freaking world except modifications that increase torque and horsepower.

  • @PQR5CHE
    @PQR5CHE3 жыл бұрын

    Scott that is because there is hardly any gain to be made. The cost to make this bike faster doesn’t make sense. The usable power and torque on a stock XT250 are actually really fun.

    @@NorthwoodsNomad KX250X is a whole different animal. Double the power, way lighter, very loud, extremely short geared, way better suspension, basically a full on MX bike with a sidestand. Nice job! You caught up to me at the end. I did some timer splits using the finish line, your best looked to be 2m24s and some change. Are you using a timer? Track Addict is free for your phone. I had my instructor take my car out for a hot lap with the last red session. He did a 2m20s lap after having been in the car a total of 1 lap. I think we both could make up a LOT of time between turns 4 through 8, just simply going faster.

    r000tbeer No, I didn’t have a timer. This was actually my first time out on track in a car (Lots of motorcycle time on other tracks) . I agree, 4 through 8, and the exit of 12 can be faster.
