  Hello Sulaiman Both C/D are fine, the difference is here silencecorner.net/pages/atoll-installation-guide#NikonZ The body of ATOLL C and ATOLL D is the same. The difference is the length of the quick release plate. ATOLL C has standard quick release plate ATOLL D has extended quick release plate You can find that ATOLL C is close to the camera ATOLL D is far away from the camera You can replace the quick release plate on the ATOLL C with an extended quick release plate and it will become an ATOLL D^^ silencecorner.net/products/extended-plate-1

  I have the Atoll-X for the Fuji GFX100s and find that I have to overtighten the baseplate securing screw in order to prevent the assembly twisting when heavy lenses are used. There is no anti-twist plate other than the rubberised pad. It looks as if it would be possible to attach an adjustable anti-twist bar accessory between the baseplate and front of the camera. The slot in the baseplate would allow the mounting of the bar and adjustment. Apart from this the product is excellent.

  @@silence.corner This says Not recommended because of bad experience of grasp. further on it says The finger space between the ATOLL and the grip is too small to hold the camera. So we have removed EM1 and OM1 from the available compatibility list. Can't work for everything I guess.

  Its a great item, but one problem I have has is when using the RF 70-200 or RF 15-35 lenses, the Atoll has to be located so close to the camera body because of the size of the rear element of the RF lenses that using the remote shutter port on the Canon EOS R5 is just about possible but then the Atoll cannot rotate as the thumbscrew fouls on the shutter release plug.

  If you use heavy lens the weigh pressure will still be on the body compared when the collar is on lens the heavy pressure is on lens am I right?

  Yes ATOLL is mounted on the camera, not on the lens. It can provide a better balance for the lens weighing less than 1kg. telephoto lens balances better on its own tripod mount collar^^

  I just got mine Easy to install. I have the Canon R5. It works with the 800 F11 which is fantastic. You cant have it on for the 100-500 lens because it interferes with the tripod foot. Thats ok cause its a big benefit to have it for the 800. It also works on the 24-105. Now I don't need an L bracket and the screen can swivel.

  Hi Fran, really nice to hear someone who also have an R5, it seams as if there is only Sony users who has tried this mount. I am so much wondering if you've tried other lenses on it and in that case which ones. Also if you have used any of the EF-RF adapter and if there is room for it to use any of those on the R5, I am using the one with a control ring on presently. I am using Canon TSE lenses a lot and I have to use the adapter for them but I shoot a lot vertical/horisontal options so this would be gold for me.
