I remember seeing rows of CMP trucks for sale in Belgium in 1963. With their distinctive No 13 utility cabs. They now embody the efforts made to win World War 2 to me. Bart would be proud of you guys and thanks from a Brit for the transport vehicles you provided. This may be just an officers taxi but, the whole range was effective in so many fields. No transport, the guns don't go bang. No recovery crane, all is lost.

I met him at a party for all ranks in Camp Borden in Ontario which was at that time a training base for the Canadian Armoured Corp. This was I believe in 1964 he enjoyed being with men in uniform and spoke with all. He was in his very senior years then he was full of energy that day and I was so lucky to met him. My father fought through Europe during WW11 with the Fort Gary Horse I was so proud of him and his bravery.

I remember more than 30-37 Scuds falling or getting knocked down by Patriot Systems. Standing full NBC or Running for trenches or shit built buildings, whilst the Scuds were falling. It was always Chemical Chemical chemical with the scuds, they’d be loaded with This Chemical, that Nerve agent etc. But there was definitely more than 28 fired at “ Scud Alley “Riyadh.

Weren't these suppose to have the Tow Under Armour turret installed originally? I believe that version was with drawn due to all the regular LAV III losses so they could field more troop carriers.

Tnx for the video! Can you please tell me is uparmored version of LAV III able to winstand 14.5mm AP and older Soviet era 30mm AP rounds? Is vehicle even tested against that when decision to field uparmored version was made or focus was just on mine and IED protection?

They did, all the stock and all the remaining parts. Just two were saved. One for Canadian War Museum in Ottawa and one for this museum. Just two were saved to save our history and the story of those who served in them. All the remaining LAV III and variants going to Ukraine. We can’t allow a war to destroy ALL our history

When I was young and living in Sundridge, Ontario our local ski hill just SW of the village had a rope tow to the top of the hill. The rope tow was powered by a retired Bren gun carrier. I remember seeing the Ford Flat head V8 engine that powered the rope tow. It was really something to see sitting inside wooden building built to house it. Thanks for sharing the video. I am working on a former CNR steam locomotive #6060 to have it restored. No doubt the national railways would have been instrumental in bringing parts to the Ford plant to build these carriers then transporting them to ports on our coasts to ship them all over the world.
