I'm a 62-year-old pickleball enthusiast from Reno, NV, passionate about enhancing the game in our community. Through my channel, I aim to elevate the level of play locally by sharing recordings of our matches. Additionally, I love attending tournaments, where I capture gameplay of senior pros and fellow players in my age group.

Great videography!
Thanks Jeff....grats on the gold!
Kudos to the ref; love when I can hear the score! :)
Good game. Thanks for sharing it. :)
What is with the 'skip' that the girl in pink makes on most of her shots? Is it supposed to help her shot? I'm new to pickle ball and learning. Thanks!
Good communication between the team in black, something I am trying to work on.
Yes...the Anderson's have great communication. Talking prevents indecision on certain balls especially balls down the middle. My wife says I'm a poor communicator so I'm working on it too!
Thanks for sharing. I enjoy your replays on close shots.
Loved the FUN the gal in the black pants was having....mostly when she was fouling off hits...she'd just start laughing....Good to see a + attitude. Some players just look pissed all the time winning or losing..
I agree!
Does no one DINK???? No one seems to bother to learn how to dink or lob.
Fun; thanks.
Can’t watch it because of that guys annoying grunting. Let’s make that illegal. So freaking stupid.
These old man can barely walk
To think that either of these teams are 4.5 is hilarious.
The blue teams needs to learn a third shot drop; too predictable to bang every shot.
If my memory is correct, both teams were 3-0 in pool play going into this match.
Too many lines
4 minutes into to this... 4.5? Seriously? C'mon man.
That ball at 955 mark wasn't even close to being out. His partner knew it too.
I missed that close call. It depends on what time I'm editing. In the morning - super focused, evening - lots of mistakes
Skills on Display, Awesome!!
Thanks for watching!
There's a fun point at 07:16
These peeps are really 4.5?
No….the only 4.5 + is Brian Classen. He’s partnered with Shania…the right handed female
@@mikeryanpickleball1962that’s surprising, they all look very good!
I'm a fan of all the players on the court and Karly Shelgren (left handed) sure does have fun while playing which is a pleasure to watch!
Team white blouses seem to be 4.0 t0 4.5 and other team 3.5 to 4.0. All in all a good match to view.
Thanks for watching> Shaina and Katie are in the white blouses
Sue Ernhout won 4.5 gold at the APP Sacramento.
Rarely see a 4.5 player with a pancake backhand volley
Winning team is much better overall and they are a true 4.5. The other is between 3.5 and 4.0. With that being said all four are very good players and an enjoyable match to watch.
Shaina and Brian played great! Mike Fortin earned silver at 4.5 in Las Vegas in a well played match that can seen here. kzread.info/dash/bejne/nXt2trumltXepM4.html Thanks for watching mountaintop,
I'm surprised that a championship match had to be played on this kind of hybrid court.
Agreed
5.0 my ass. I could toy with them left handed
What are their pickleball ratings?
Hello....4.5-5.0
Pretty good man!
Great game
I had a great time recording and editing these matches. Anytime I'm able to watch the "TopDogs" of Reno in action it's a pleasure. I have a suggestion for next season is keeping team names less than 20 letters!
Thank you so much for recording these matches, Mike! I thoroughly enjoyed watching these in person and am glad I get to see the video after the fact to analyze their play so I know what to do better next time! And I'm totally on board with a team name length limit 🤣
@@davidmosher2989 I'll just call them 5D's from now on but I prefer Triple D's!
Don’t you be tryin’ to get away with no paddle in the kitchen SuebyDoo! (But I totally missed Susie’s Erne Kitchen Fault so we’re even)
Great comeback by DinkDropDuckDriveAndDink ….I thought you were going to pull it off!
Thanks Mike. Wish I could have been there in person.
Two shots and the lady in pink is nowhere near a 5.0
Lmao that thumbnail🤣🤣 What a coincidence it's when the girl is bent over🤦♂️🤦♂️
what model is the selkirk red paddle. I cannort believe how wide it is?
I'm not sure.......Jeff Dill is playing with the Selkirk. I'm friends with his opponent Ken Grey
Several instances of ball and paddle abuse from the team in pink, so was rooting for the ladies who ended up winning.
Thanks for recording! Rest up that leg and we can have a rematch soon!
I'm old and slow....your forehand drives scare me!
Thanks, Mike. I enjoyed watching that Erne a few times. 😅
Well done Jeff
This was the best game of the match
I learned a lot recording these matches. The wind was fierce and I need another external mic with wind protection. My camera angles are slightly askew which drive me nuts! Sueby Doo I feel is the strongest team in the league and should win all of their matches. I'm going to try and record another match next week. I sprained my ankle so I'm out for the month of May from pickle which is OK. I'm really enjoying recording and editing. I'm using Davinci Resolve to edit and there is so much to learn it boggles my mind! 8)
I keep thinking about getting some of those Bluetooth microphones and clipping them on the net for better audio. Or with a camera angle like this, one on the near fence to the right and the other on the far fence to the left to get a cool stereo effect.
@@JeffLandauer Rancharra's courts are the best in town for recording matches by far. I might try using a GoPro as a kitchen camera on Wed. but the GoPro footage isn't as high quality as my Sony camera plus its unreliable
I enjoy posting matches of my Reno friends. Mr. Lowry and Mr. Nash played well to get to the gold medal match but ran in to the great team of Mr. Romano and Mr. Garald.
The Jet Blue invitational :)
Thank you,Ryan, for filming our game. That was a long one! ~Tracy
You're welcome. You have a confident swagger on court which is fun to watch. I don't know how tournament players can play so many hours in the heat. I left at 2 worn out from the 90 degree weather and your bracket semifinals wasn't scheduled yet.
grunters are annoying in pb. specially spazzy red hat dude. im out. i made it 4 mins
No way 5.0 🤦♀️
Your high speed camera frame rate is better than the PPA for close calls
1080p 60fps
Enjoyed watching Mr. Tanaka and Mr. Gates roll through the field on their way to gold. Mr. Tanaka's forehand and Bruce Lee reflexes are registered as lethal weapons with the FBI. Mr. Gates, I've dubbed "Cool Hand Luke" with his relaxed demeanor on court.
Intense match.........point of the match at the 22:16 mark 48 shot rally.
I am a true 4.0 and I would destroy these people. You give 4.0's a bad name. Maybe I should move to these areas and I would be upgraded to a 6.0 in these parts. You should see what national 4.0's look like. They actually look like 4.5 in rec leagues. Rate yourself accordingly so you don't draw attention to yourself so people don't have to tell you you aren't what you say you are.
Did the tournament have some teams play up? The play doesn't seem like 4.0 level play to me. The woman in the black shirt is more comparable to 2.5 to 2.75 players in the Sacramento area.
Everyone was playing up except for Brian Small tournament
Who impresses me the most is Angela Classen, she hasn't played much and jumped right in and played this tournament.
