  Using scented litter or a fragrance for the litter box please be careful with what scents you put in there because some scents cats really don't like them and will actually use something else as their litter box which could be your bed or a corner of the room or even right outside the litter box

  1:29 It's not like cats don't like enclosed litters, but cats feel more comfortable in open litters. Buying enclosed litters with the taught of giving your cat privacy, because you feel more comfortable not seeing it or for astetics should not be one of your first thoughts. I mean which cat cards about privacy? Cats like to have a clear view of their surroundings, because of their instincts to look out for prey and danger. So I recommend having a litter with high walls, instead of an enclosed one and a litter mat in front of it(Those things are very useful!)

  The American Sign Language (ASL) for help is a closed fist with your thumb sticking up (kinda like the gig ‘em thing for A&M) on top of the other hand palm up and lifting both hands up. Alternatively, if someone (1) points with their index and middle fingers together and to the side, (2) closed fingers on top of their thumb, (3) makes an ‘L’, (4) points down with their index finger, then they’re finger spelling “help”.

  Careful with laser toys, cats do get frustrated if they consistanty don't get to actually catch their prey in the end. The laser should be just used all the time

  Closed, automatic, and rolling litter boxes are SO uncomfortable and not good for your cats. The closed ones cause anxiety because they’re genetically used to using the bathroom outside and burying their waste in the soil, not in a cave. They don’t need privacy they’re an animal. It’s even more stressful when you have another pet or even a child that can come up and scare them from the TINY TINY door that most of these boxes have. Automatic boxes (although convenient to humans) can make you miss something with your cats health like blood in their urine or stool or if they’re not urinating or defecating enough. AND the robotic moving parts could scare the cat. Finally the rolling litter boxes (the ones you roll upside down to remove waste) leaves feces and urine ALL OVER THE WALLS AND TOP of the box. That’s disgusting by itself, but it also makes the box smell SUPER unpleasant to your cats and may discourage them from using the litter box. If you want more information about good boxes and bad boxes and good litters, do some research online (I recommend Jackson Galaxy or The Kitten Lady if you enjoy watching videos) and ask your pets veterinarian for advice. Also scoop your litter box daily or get a different animal companion. You wouldn’t want to use an unflushed toilet, don’t make your cat. Thank you!

  1:26 Just gonna explain this for people who don’t know. When it says that it encourages cats to drink more water, it’s due to the fact that cats are more attracted to moving water than the still water in a normal water bowl. There’s many cats that are actually slightly dehydrated because they don’t acknowledge water in their bowls as actual water due to the stillness of it!

  I just wanted to point out that litter box at 2:50 is actually terrible for cats and I'm begging people not to buy it. It rolls the pee and poop all over the roof, walls and floor of the box, and it'll make your cats more likely to have accidents and stop using litter trays all together.. Makes less sense when you think about it.. you wouldn't ask a human to use a toilet that had just exploded all over the bathroom 🤮 If you can't handle scooping litter once a day you probably should just get a different pet.

  Damn that box sounds so nasty and unsanitary, cats are usually very clean animals so imo it's actually very disrespectful to force them to poop in a box with smells from weeks old poop.

  Though it's more expensive, my .357 is all I need. But I do have one of those tasers. It really doesn't knock people down like you would think. BUT it is REALLY loud, crackly, and sounds terrifying. The noise alone has saved me from two dogs who were running after me, growling and snarling, and a creep in the local dog park.

  @@snowycatinseattle Routine feeding would be actually be emotionally and physically better for your cats. Cats do good on routine. As for the damage of free feeding.. Sure, some cats might not get obese from free feeding.. however, free feeding causes your cats blood sugar to constantly be spiked which is a very common cause of diabetes/insulin resistance. You really shouldn't even be feeding a dry diet anyways because it puts them at even more risk of things like kidney stones, kidney failure, urinary crystals, and dental disease. I'd never feed my cats dry food and my cats don't even eat carbs, frankly. I feed fully raw and I have senior cats with energy like kittens. My cats drink about a cup of water a week and poo tiny turds every other day. They're also free of any dental disease because there's no carbs to rot their teeth. They haven't seen a vet in several years and don't need to. There's some good kibbles that are high protein, low carb, and low ash if you absolutely HAVE to free feed that I'd suggest. What kibble do you feed?
