Serving up honest reviews of green and clean beauty, skincare, haircare & more, so you know what to buy and what not to buy.
Over the past six years I've tested and honestly reviewed thousands of products using my Styleshaker Scorecard system. If you're looking for quick, comprehensive reviews of the latest products out there, you're in the right spot. Welcome!
Check out reviews for beauty, skincare and haircare brands like RMS Beauty, ILIA, Kosas, Merit, Viori, Prose, as well as product reviews featuring independent brands so you can discover what's new with me! Keep an eye out for recaps of my monthly favorites as well, my "Britt's Picks" updates!
I created this channel because I was incredibly overwhelmed when I started switching over to clean, green beauty products. These reviews are what I wish I had when I first started out. The goal isn't to make you buy more, it's to help you find your fewer, better (for you, your body, your family. your planet) favorites.

What are your thoughts on Josie Maran skincare?
Have you tried the Tarte cloud CC cream? It has a pretty good rating on YUKA app but not sure how it would apply. Im a PE teacher and looking for a clean natural product with tint and spf
Thanks for reviews that pack a lot of info into a short amount of time. 😊 I have Jones Road neutralizer and face pencils. It covers nicely, is easy to use, but I do find I need to touch up if I want it fresh looking in the evening. (But I tend do some all over touch up before evening events anyway). Would I buy it again? Likely, unless I find under eye coverage perfection elsewhere. Still on the hunt.
That was too weird....at the exact moment that you were describing the lip products you were wearing (with the last one being called Cinnamon Bun), I was putting icing on a batch of cinnamon rolls for my kids for breakfast! Lol. Anyway, thank you for the new Britt's Picks video...I highly value your recommendations! I'm curious to try the Tower 28 concealer. I'm getting to the end of the new Saie one, which I have enjoyed, but I do feel like the color is just a little bit off for me. I'm also curious about that new Sun Glow product. I haven't heard of it. But if it's similar to the Saie Sunvisor, which I LOVE, than I will probably like it. I have dry, sensitive skin, so the Sunvisor is perfect in winter, but I find it a bit too glowy for summer, so I recently tried the Solara Fortune Teller Brightening Serum Sunscreen. It is NOT cheap, and I don't love the packaging, but my skin absolutely loves it. It's honestly the first makeup product I've used that seems to improve my skin over time. I haven't had a single breakout since I started using it about 2 months ago, and my skin just looks better than usual. So I recommend trying that one. I've been mixing it with the Saie Sunvisor to make it last longer with good results. An eyeliner that I'm positive I will use up is the Roen Eyeliner Pencil in matte black. I tried it on a whim, because it had great reviews on Credo. Of the many I've tried, it is the ONLY black eyeliner pencil in the Green Beauty space that lasts all day for me. My only complaint is that since it is very soft, it needs to be sharpened frequently. Lastly, if you haven't tried the Live Botanical Nourishing Cleansing Oil, I highly recommend it. I've repurchased it several times. It is gentle, but effective at removing all makeup with no residue or irritation. Plus it has a light lemon scent I enjoy. I haven't tried the Typology one, but it seems like a nice affordable alternative. I might also try that mascara...another brand I hadn't heard of. Have you tried (and liked) any mascaras that help with lash growth?
Love seeing the authenticity! Soo many people are “loving” the same products over and over (ie whats new and they are paid to say they love). THANK YOU for being you! It is worth noting that Kinfield’s customer service is AMAZING! Purchased a couple items from their site, didn’t know one had silicones and broke me out, they refunded me no problem and were quick in respond. I’d def try their body SPF you featured! I like their spf lip balm. 😊
Thank you... some interesting products.
Thank you!

Are you over 50?
Sticky and tacky. No coverage.
I’ve tried three shades of Ogee, it hangs onto my dry patches. I wanted to love it but I do love the Ilia stick
“Flushed” works for me!
As a mature woman of 64, this has been a game-changer for me. I suddenly have a glow like JLo and look sun-kissed!
This seems like marketed, repackaged light rouge. Maybe mixed with a little chapstick. Castor and jojoba oils are good for lips and hair, and in serious moderation. I would try something like this if it weren’t so expensive and a risk of breakouts.
I am curious about the Typology oil cleanser! Also been thinking about their mattifying powder, face mask with prickly pear, and the cleansing balm, so maybe that’s enough for free shipping. 😂 Just repurchased the DamDam recently! Also love the Mara cleansing oil. Britt, love the new graphics! Especially the purple style shaker circle and the “5/5” pop up!
I have this... I do not like the smell at all. It is sticky .... But I do like the glow
Guys, whatever you do, make sure the oil cleanser you use is non-comedogenic. I thought since an oil cleanser gets washed off fairly quickly it is no big deal if it is comedogenic or not. I was wrong. My oil cleanser had Marula oil (Rating: 3-4) Moringa oil (Rating: 3-4) and Glycine Soja oil (Rating 4-5). And it caused so many comedones on my forehead. I stopped using it 45 days ago and I still haven’t recovered. So many bumps on my forehead. 😔🤚 I am now using Wildflower Oil Cleanser from Angan. All the ingredients are non-comedogenic (Rating of 2 or less).
The official Scorecard review is here! bit.ly/4eVvBxI 💜 What do you think about this oil cleanser? Also, heads up, subscribers may notice I'm playing a bit with format. Upgrades ✨ - Britt
I have both of these. Evolve gives me a ton of shine but the nature of things is good when my hair feels particularly dry. My daughter doesn’t like the NoT even though her hair is curly it’s fine. So it leaves her hair feeling weighed down. My hair is coarse and wavy and it works brilliantly. I probably wouldn’t repurchase the NoT again unless on sale.
Fitglow lip serum is so hard to turn down on a sale....yum! Happy 4th of July!
Thank you so much for this comparison! It was exactly what I was looking for and answered all the questions I had about the two options!
I've been looking for new Mascara, I think I'm going to try it
So, after seeing several positive reviews on both the Kitsch and Earthling Co shampoo and conditioner bars, I finally got one. I went with Kitsch because they're easily accessible at Ulta and I went with the rice protein version. I just used it this morning and I LOVE THEM! We'll see how my hair fairs on my between wash days but as of now I really love my results. I am 42 and my hair is... well, it can get super oily if I don't use te right products and it's course but not super thick (if that makes sense!) I'm always down to try new things and this is supposed to help with hair shedding which has been an issue for me since my teenage years. Normal bloodwork so I have to imagine it's the products... or genetics? Hell if I know! I'm just glad I still have hair on my head (and, thank the Lord, no bald spots!) 😂❤
You mention someone to watch for their eyeshadow tutorials? Who is this?
Why would you even use this if you're in your 30s or even 40s. Wait until you're in your mid 50s then talk about products that you now claim are "heavy" and "greasy". You will have a completely different opinion when you reach the age where other foundations that are supposed to make you glow don't do a damn thing for you. Since turning 53 about a year ago I started noticing that nothing I tried made my skin glow or look pretty and I'm a fitness person who eats a super clean diet of mostly organic fruits veggies proteins and moderate carbs. I've tried completely cutting caffeine, alcohol, and many other foods that make the skin look dull but nothing has worked. I've done diamond glow microdermabrasion, IPL, red light and tons of guasha massage which all helped to bring some of my glow back but this product is what finally made me look as youthful as I feel from my lifestyle. If you're under 50 you probably don't need this but once you hit that hardcore perimenopause/menopause stage it may be exactly what you need. WTH do any influencers in their 20s or 30s or even 40s even care about this brand? Oh right clicks and money. Also if you prefer chemical scents over natural scents that sounds like a personal issue. Personally I would rather smell like plants than cleaners.
I have the Miracle Balm in Flushed and Golden Hour. I’ve had them for more than a year and still don’t know how I feel. I like the Flushed way more and occasionally do use it as a light wash of blush, but it feels like a slog to use and makes me irrationally angry. My main issue is that there’s just too much product! If they could make it half as big, I would have a better attitude toward it and use it more. I know they occasionally come out with mini sizes but they are too small to be worth it. C’mon Jones Road, this Goldilocks needs a “just right.”
bought some and to say I’m extremely disappointed and feel cheated and lied to abt this product is putting it lightly. It’s nothing they claim it to be. The color doesn’t stay on but for a few minutes, there’s no “glow” I feel cheated and bamboozled. I was so excited to order it. The customer service never responded to my email, just asking a few more questions to make sure I was using it correctly. Such a disappointing experience.
Would you tell me which of the Cocoa Crayons are cool colors? Their website has no description and I cannot wear warm colors...they just turn orange on me.
Thank you for the reminder! Ere Perez’s sale has been popping up on my radar…maybe it’s time to try something new? Agreed on the carrot color pot….I live for the shade Harmony in the cooler months, they have a new shade I’ve been curious about. The jojoba eye pencil is a pass for me, smudge city! But my eyelids seem to be oily lol. The Ilia gel liner pencil stays far better IMO. The lychee corrector is a fav here! Much lighter than the Fitglow corrector, and I use it before concealer. Wish it had a bit more staying power though. Been curious FOREVER about the coco crayons! Think I just can’t decide on a shade! 😂
Love you in that red lip! 😍 I am curious about the newish Ere Perez cream bronzer
Hi Brit. What would you recommend for facial spf if you’re out at the beach or park? Something thats not too greasy but is moisturizing.
Lmk what technique you use to blend the cream carrot color pot. I have the shade holy-its beautiful on the lips and cheeks but for some reason, I have trouble blending it on my cheeks seamlessly.
I it definitely made for dryer, more mature skin and that is how it is marketed. I live in New Orleans where is is EXTREMELY humid over half the year. I wear this in the summer or when humidity is high. It doesn't cake up in the humidity and sweat off.
Any sales out there we need to know about outside of Saie and Ere Perez this weekend? 💜Hope you find some deals! -B
Thanks for the review. I got the mini version of it and am not too pleased. It does not clump, but is so dry and heavy on my lashes that my eyes look small although they are actually quite big. :( no length for me at all. Only volume at the roots
Please 🙏 please do a coffee review or how to or routine video. Something. Have been on a journey to revamp my coffee routine inspired by a desire to tolerate more black coffee for IF purposes. I'm absolutely shocked how much unhelpful or just non-existant information is out there for coffee brewing. Like some of the water to coffee ratios are insane. I would love to hear from someone who knows what's up

How about for a fair redhead 81 yr old..dry skin and pink cheeks.. Been using Channel
I have very dry skin although not mature so I’m curious about jones road products, mainly miracle balm and what the foundation. I wish I could get samples to try.
I haven't tried any of these but I do drink a variety of different green teas. And, yes Japan is the ideal place to order it. If you like the 1/2 +1/2 then do it. Do what you crave and say "yum yum"! Life is too short. Experiment and have fun trying new things. I change my daily drinks to what resonates with my body. I love trying new and different teas and mocktails since I quit alcohol 2 years ago. When I saw your thumbnail above Britt I thought it was new face powder.....hahaha.......you got me :))
Have you tried the RMS or DIME beauty tint spf? I go between those two and love them both
It’s totally beautiful….im kinda shocked by this
I like matcha but it's not my daily go to. I drink ground cacao beans &/or Mudwtr. I enjoyed the information you shared on this product however. I'm always down to try something new :)
I’m using Humby organic shampoo bars. I’ve used purple rain and at moment using blueberry fields. I’m happy with this brand so far.
How is it covering redness like rosacea
What would you say is the most skin-like clean beauty concealer you've tried?
Fitglow concealer is my tried and true best performer for many years. Iris & Romeo is a strong second. Both really do what you need them to do.
@@Catherine-lr3el Does the Fitglow concealer look like skin under the eyes? On their website it says "high coverage" and I usually associate high coverage with a less natural finish.
@@Aurosis that’s actually a tough question. It depends on your concerns, lines or discoloration, and the application method. Having high coverage means needing a tiny amount of product. Prepping and setting are crucial. Marlena Stell and Pixiewoo
Got cut off! I was ending with Marlena Stell, Pixiewoo and Nikki La Rose are excellent makeup application instructors. Fitglow is high quality and reliable.
You misspelled taste in the five things you want to talk about. Other than that, this video is great (as are all your videos).
lol thanks for the spot on that typo! I’m surprised that was the only one. Uploading while on cold meds is tricky 🤦🏻♀️💜
Tid bit: you can easily throw out the whole issue of bad taste with one simple trick. Hold your breath, pinch your nose, down whatever awful tasting substance you need to consume then immediately chase it with something sweet. Don’t let go of the nose before you’ve had the sweet something. The sense of smell and taste are the very same. Nope, I haven’t tried Matcha but plan to someday sooner than later. It’s sitting there on the same shelf as yoga and veganism. My imaginary ideal version of myself is so much cooler than the one writing this with a plate of cheesy tuna noodles in front of me. 🙂
The shelf has another addition lol, love that. Interesting taste trick! Thanks
I just love they have fragrance free option! There are not alot out there and if there are I hate the product.
Glad it works for you! Thanks for sharing
