I run a harsco Mark 6 here in Wilmington North Carolina. Totally rebuilt it and rewired it from system 5 to Jupiter 2 operating system.

6700 is an amazing machine, I have commisioned 3 here in Brazil, all the costumer we have here love 6700. 6700 iby itself is realy amazing, I can't imagine with drone. That is my dream put a drone in service here in Brazil. Best regards to all service technician from Harsco Rail.

Nice evening shots of this BNSF surfacing gang at work. Finally see a Jackson 3300 working with the tilt workheads. Originally I believe the Jackson 6000's workheads actually came straight down and tilted in and out from the rail to better tamp 9 foot ties used on several mainline railroads. Good video. Thanks.

Thanks for viewing, that was a long 15 hr day tamping behind the tie gang. Had my relief operator running it. I'm hopping we get our drone tamper this year since we got a brand new 6700 sj2 this year and I'll post a video of that.

@@skier008 how much more complicated is it to run the tamper with the drone than without it?

@@Demonaire69 it's really not bad at all. Just have to remember to unhook the air lines and pull the tow pin but make sure it's still touching the hitch. Turn the guide rod Oilers on, and then in the cab after your all set up to hit the sync button on the drone screen and the start button. It reads the distance it's from you off the encoder wheel on the 6700. So ours was set to start at 100 feet away and stop at 50. Then when tamping a switch or to a crossing or something you hit the ties on the 6700 screen to turn them red so the drone wont accidentally tamp a tie you missed on purpose or accident. And remember to stop it at the crossings in work since it doesnt see cars. But it's really not bad at all when it's running right

@@skier008 Thanks for replying promptly and for the info! I've been tamper training for few weeks now and there was a bid open for production tamper with drone but never operated it with drone so i was curious

@@Demonaire69 they are a cool concept but in my opinion they lay down crap track goin every 3rd. Every other or solid is best and nothing makes a better team than a 6700 and 3300 for large production in my book
