I’ve been playing with Jones Road balm without color. The ginger oil is a little over powering at first but so far I like it. I expect to really need and use it daily once the winter months arrive. Loving your positive energy! Thank you for your content.
I've heard the scent doesn't work for everyone. Interesting to know. I look forward to trying it soon. Thanks for watching and for your sweet thoughts.
Hi girl, your little feet look so cute in these sandals.
Oh are you into 70-year-old feet?
Great interview! Important information for everyone 💜
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
I've been using a lash and eyebrow growth serum, Rapid Lash, purchased through Costco online. It does work given time. As far as my very light eyebrows, I dye them with Just for Men beard dye. The kit lasts a long time, doing just the eyebrows. BTW. Thanks for the tip with the eyeshadow, such a good one! (I'm 78) Stay strong ladies!
That's so great to know. I will look into Rapid Lash. I also love your suggestion about the beard dye. Great tips!
Funny sound effects! 😅
@@donnaglogowski3619 Thanks! I was having fun with them.
So happy you joined us! #JLJJC
Thanks! I had a great time!😄
Older women don't have eyelashes, so MASCARA ?
LOL! But older guys still do. Must be a corrolation, right?
I’m 65 and I don’t do anything that is UNcomfortable! I’ve gone from makeup to skin care, tight shoes to tennis shoes/sneakers and sandals. I do love leggings and wear them exclusively with the beautiful colors of tops and tees. I love blousy tops with a side tie or a stretchy belt and pulling the top over the belt. I’m never dating again EVER! I enjoy being on my own with myself and my cat. I’m not trying to impress anybody! Great video! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for your lovely comment! I hear you on everything. I avoid leggings because I need something to stop me from eating but comfortable is where it's at. Shoes, especially!
I have seen several of your videos and you are delightful and down to earth. Keep up the good work! 👍🏻
Thanks, so much! That's so good to hear! I'm still working on my editing skills but am working on it.
I have rarely worn mascara. When I do a show or I go to a wedding, sure. Otherwise I just curl my long eyelashes and I’m good. Eyeliner, though, is a must!
I completely agree with you. That's pretty much what I am doing now.
I was basically a hippie in my youth in the early 1970s, I didn’t wear any makeup for a while, then just lipstick. I always loved that WWII look of no makeup just lipstick.
@@StormyDay I love that look too!
Just subscribed and ordered the castor oil. Thanks for the great tips!
Awesome! Thank you! I hope it works for you!
Hello Jane. How are you today?
Sat 63 don't wear mascara often any more. I use powder for my eye brows and to darken eye lashes.
I'm interested in knowing how a powder can darken eye lashes. I'm always afraid of powder getting in my eyes. Just curious.
I am 70. I still have nice lashes. I love my mascara and don’t care what ant make up or fashionistas say about it. Most women, young and old look better with mascara. If they do not then they do not know how to correctly apply it.
It's great that you like wearing mascara. However, not all of us do for various reasons. Whatever makes you happy and feel good is wonderful.
After 30 years of wearing mascara, I have discontinued using it. Finally, I found out everyone I know thinks my eyes look better without it... Who knew.
I love that! Sometimes mascara looks thick and kind of stiff. Natural lashes are so much softer.
@RebeccaOver60 Definitely true... I never liked the way my eyes looked with mascara. I just thought for years it was a " have too." My eye shape is almond, and it becomes lost and sunk in with mascara. Now you can actually see my eye color. Great video you have... I hope other women that second-guess feel liberated from it if they don't like it either. (Speaking of) I saw Scarlett Johansson on the Today Show today with zero mascara on and doing the more natural makeup now ( guessing finally the trend has swung to less makeup now?) she looked fabulous as always, no eye makeup.
Thank you for your video, you are a pretty lady and it’s great that you still wear makeup, many women our age don’t bother with it but it makes feel feel nice when I wear it. I am your same age, sometimes I don’t wear mascara like when I go to the grocery store on the weekends I do my brows, concealer, eyeshadow light lipstick but if I’m going out and dressing up I definitely wear it. By the way my eyebrows are a bit different now too I think our faces do get a bit of balance when we are older heheh, but I make it work. ❤
Thanks so much for watching. i'm all for whatever makes you feel good. So true about the unbalanced eyebrows after a certain age. Sometimes I just want to tape up my forehead. LOL
It’s good to look good Jazzy. You have a beautiful smile. How are you today?
I'm interested in red light therapy but I'm not ready for the time commitment. I am collecting information right now. Thank you for the helpful video 💜
Thanks, I'm glad you found my video valuable. Red light therapy and other modalities take a committment of time to make them worthwhile. I admit to not being consistent in that regard.
Awesome job I love that you are around my age, and I like that you don't laugh and act silly like some of the young women do! Keep up the good work!
I'm so glad you liked it. Thanks for watching. I do get a little silly sometimes. LOL
Hello Jane. How are you today?
I have noticed that my stomach and digestion has really slowed, causing constipation and bloating as I've entered my 60s. I have gone to several doctors and not much help. I have eliminated gluten, dairy, junk foods which gave me some relief. I finally asked my doctor for some more tests to find out that I suffer from pancreatic enzyme insufficiency. I now supplement with digestive enzymes especially when consuming a larger meal. It really helps.
That's great to know it's working for you. I am waiting for my results of the food sensitivity test I took and my colonoscopy but digestive enzymes make sense.
I will try your way, substitute, for mascara. NONE of them feel good to my eyes, yes it’s like putting shoe polish on lashes….they don’t go on well and all of them burn and make my eyes water and turn my eyes red. Mascara is aweful to me.
It's good to hear that you agree. Good luck with it.
Hi Linda! How are you today? 😊
Maybe I just need to get a stronger mirror, but I can no longer see my lashes (do I even have any?) So, I haven't used mascara in years, even though I use everything else to complete my face.
Not being able to see up close seems pretty common as we age. You are not alone.
Hi Nina. Nice to meet you 😊
Great advice and how liberating to not wear mascara anymore!
I'm so glad we are in accord. It's empowering!
Excellent tip I was shown for eyebrows on mature women. Don't draw the end downward too far, or it will make your eyes look droopier. I don't draw mine straight across, but more like after the arch, I just keep it a little higher up. You can experiment for yourself to see the difference. Also, don't draw the eyebrow in too close past the inner corner of your eyes. I always use the inner eye to gauge where I start drawing. You can always fill in a little afterwards once you get your general shape done. I find it makes me look softer, and less cranky if the eyebrows aren't too close together. I over plucked when I was younger, but still had a good frame of eyebrows to work with. Unfortunately when I got quite ill about 16 years ago, most the eyebrows fell out and never grew back. I will never get tattooed or any form of permanent eyebrows done. Imo most women look terrible with them. They're either too dark, too heavy, or the shape is not right for their faces. I usually draw them on free style, but for special occasions I use a stencil kit and use the Clinique eyebrow powder to fill in with. I also use a 5X mirror for makeup. It's a little too close for my liking, but at least the makeup goes where it's supposed to.
Those are all great tips and I have started to arch up the end of my eyebrow. I agree with you also about not getting tattoos or permanent makeup because it often looks too harsh or the artist may not have a feel for what looks best on you and you get stuck with it. I tried the stencils but had difficulty finding one that matched my brows and it was difficult to see even with a magnifying mirror.
Your voice is so calming also I just ordered mine ! I got the orchid colour also you’re eyes are soo pretty ❤😊
Thanks, I'm so glad you like my voice. Orchid sounds beautiful. I was given mine at an event so I didn't get to choose the color but there are a huge variety to choose from.
I meant silicone lol autocorrect
Just lovely!
Thank you! I am really loving that dress.
I have avoided mascara since 2015 when my dad died. At first I was afraid I would start crying and my mascara would run but then I realized if I sis everything else, including my basic pencil eyeliner, my eyes looked fine. If I am getting dressed up for an occasion I will use it.
I'm pretty much the same way. I only use it on a special occasion anymore.
Why should your age have anything to do with how much or how little you wear?
It doesn't but sometimes too much makeup accentuates lines making them more visible than how they look with nothing to cover them.
That’s a funny video! 👠
Thanks! I had fun with it.
Wow Rebecca you have a great diet and willpower. Me, at 67, I never kicked my younger days of junk food. And so I pay for it and always feel blech😣. Let us know how your food sensitivity test turns out. Good luck on your colonoscopy!
Thanks, so much! I will let you know about my results in Part 2 after I receive them.
Yess my mom had that mableline mascara/ brows stuff you put water in it. I’ve also used the brown eyeshadow for a liner now that I’m 67. It’s so easy and I don’t gob it up anymore 😊
I'm glad you are using the eyeshadow idea as an eyeliner.
Didn’t know it was a trend, but my eyelashes are now so sparse that I never wear mascara. It works for me, for sure. 😊
It's difficult to wear with sparse lashes for sure.
I'm 56 and started getting semi-permanent makeup (eye liner, eye brows, and lip liner) about three years ago. I haven't used mascara in years; perhaps just a little at the outer tips uppers only. Just a little bit of foundation and I'm good to go . Look online for reviews of the shop/artist you want to use and make sure it's an experienced professional place. A lot of places do this service; you want an experienced provider
Thanks, for the tips. I haven't tried semi-permanent makeup yet but I agree, you want to make sure the artist is skilled and experienced.
Hi Gigi. How are you today?
@@JosephOtto-y1i Hi! Pretty good thanks! Doing a little rain dance and hoping for rain in the Denver area ; It has been dry for Weeks. How are you?
@@gigi9301 😂. Trying to imagine what the rain dance might look like. Hope it rains soon Gigi. I’m fairly new on here.
@@gigi9301 I’m from Texas. Will love to know more about Gigi. What’s your email?
A bit of vaseline and some smudgy kohl will do the truck. It's rare to get older eyelashes that actually point in the correct direction, never mind being as gappy as a broken fence! Mascara is a NIGHTMARE to get nice!
Vaseline is a great remedy for many things. It's a little sticky but I'm sure you're right about nourishing eyelashes.
Jack and Elaine have made so many peoples' lives better including mine. Thanks a million times to both of them.
I agree. They were both wonderful inspirations.
I RARELY wear mascara and I love it ❤
You can me both!
Sorry but there’s nothing attractive here. To each her own.
Lookin good, girl 😊❤
Thanks, so much!
Thankyou for the advice 😊
You are very welcome! Come back again!
I'm 77 and haven't worn makeup in years. You can put a fresh coat of paint on an old barn, but you still have an old barn. Makeup on an old gal is like a bad combover on a man -- you're not fooling anyone. But, you do you. If it makes you feel better about yourself, go for it.
I love how you think. The bad combover analogy is hilarious! Thanks.
Gave up mascara 20 years ago because it irritates my eyes, even the sensitive kind. Just isn’t worth it for me. Beautiful job on u you our eyes.
Thank you so much! I hear you about the sensitivity to it. It doesn't work for everyone.
You will give up your mascara if you can't see you eyelashes!!!!!😂😂😂😂
So true! It is a mess when you miss!
I’m 67 and I gave up mascara over 10 years ago because my eyelashes became sparse and ended up in clumps. Not a good look! I wore it from 12 years old and really missed it. My eyebrows have ended up the same and I pencil them in but it’s really hard to find a pale enough pencil. I think yours look lovely and subtle and the eyeshadow works a treat! Thanks for the tips! ❤
I'm so glad my tips were helpful! Thanks so much for watching!
Hello Debra! How are you today? 😊
I'm 69 and stopped wearing all makeup about 3 years ago.
Great! Why wear it if you don't have to, right?
You look super I’m sixty and I still love playing with makeup makes me feel good and yes eyebrows make a big difference 😊
Thanks for your compliment. And as for wearing makeup, as long as you love it, do it!
Rebecca I gave up mascara about 15 years ago because I felt it was causing my lashes to thin out. It's a similar situation to why I had to stop using holding spray in my hair. I rely on a good soft liner to give definition or sharpness to my eyes.
I have always avoided using hair spray too. Soft liners are great!
No no no
???
I quit using mascara when I got to the point I couldn’t see where to put it!😂. Seriously, I began losing my eyesight about 14 years ago. After many injections and surgeries, i want nothing near or on my eyes! I’m thankful to be alive, and growing old gracefully. I’m never going to be young again. I hope my beauty is deeper than what’s in a bottle.
I feel the same way about putting stuff near my eyes after wearing contacts for so long. There is definitely more to beauty than what you see on the outside. ;))
R u kidding me? U cannot look good without mascara &/or eyeliner. Seriously...try getting castor oil in ur eyes & see how that feels w contacts. Also, what is goin on w ur hair????
I agree, that castor oil can be messy. There are eyebrow serums as well but they can be expensive. I don't believe beauty depends on mascara, eyeliner, or makeup. My hair has a mind of its own. Do you feel better now?
I'm 72 and have a skin condition that makes my upper eyelids and brows scaly, so I can't wear any eye makeup. I've always worn nothing but a little blush and mascara. Never lipstick or shadow. Now I haven't worn any makeup at all for more than 40 years. It was never a big deal. I was a nurse for 22 years, so just did my minimal. In the OR wearing a mask, all they saw is eyes, so I wore mascaa every day. But for many years now, I just use cool water to wash my face, pat dry, then apply a very tiny bit of unscented lotion. I feel ok with this. Not out to impress anyone at the grocery store. 🙂 I do love your subtle routine.
Thanks. I can understand how it must be to wear a mask all the time. All you see are your eyes. Sorry about the skin condition. Can you use a fragrance-free eye cream or oil for that? Just wondering.
I'm 70 and I like a little shimmer in blush and highlighter, etc. It brightens up a dull complexion. Mascara and bottom liner are abdolute musts since I have very fair lashes.
Shimmer is fun but you have to be careful using it when you're older. Sometimes it accentuates creases. But, glad you enjoy it.
I like the way you did your brows
Thanks. I'm still working on it. I realized that I need to do an uplift at the ends and possibly go a little bit above my natural brows.
