  there’s a good amount of build up but honestly it doesn’t hurt or hurt see her growth. I just wash it really well. The less washing the better with her hair type. too much washing causes the hair to be stripped of its natural oils.

  My mother used to say my hair had "spoiled" due to a medical procedure done on me as a little kid. But years later when I cut most of it off and it started growing back in, I stopped putting chemicals or heat in it to curl or straighten it.My natural curl pattern came back!! Now I just wear it pulled in a pineapple doo, braids or twists, or an uncontrolled 'fro. I still color it though but not the harmful stuff. I saw the caption & was appalled at first, because I know how that feels when someone e says it. I jokingly used to say all my hair really does is "lay down & play dead" when friends would say but you still have "good hair though"... My family has that silky, wavy, bouncy hair that people want.. I don't have that. I've learned to take care of it & embrace it. I hope someone reads this & those words help them.
