The most fun I had in this game was downloading a cheat engine page that let me customize everything about operatives and build better characters. You still only have access to the same select voices in the game, but it’s a start.

"Funniest" part I noticed with FH5 is that in FH4 (not sure about previous ones, but probably it applies there too), you could just make a mathematical equation program where you input max-min springs, weight distribution and done, base tune of suspension done. Only some fine-tuning to your taste and/or car's shortcomings. In FH5 default tuning works fine-ish (like in FH4), but GL on figuring out a equation to get proper suspension setup. And fuck offroad races. Just fuck'em. Literally mandatory per season, 95% is you flying with hopes that you'll catch just enough grip to manage the turn, just to loose 13s because you had to drive through shallow water, while AI just blazes through it with absolutely no speed loss. And offroad races seem to be all about being a boat or a plane... But all you get is a car.

Agreed. It’s a good game but they fumbled with this one. Definately not a classic far cry. Such ashame.
Terraria does everything Minecraft does bad well. Mojang needs to take notes. Minecraft can be so much more.

Bit of a nit pick but calling their enemies “bad guys” is actually somewhat realistic, it’s a dehumanizing tactic that people in stressful situations where they have to kill use.
I think people tend to miss the point of Minecraft when they critique it. Minecraft is a creativity based game. It's not an inherently narrativized survival game. It's not a game that's meant to be beat or streamlined. It's a game where you're supposed to create your own story, your own adventure, and your own narrative. Either the people who make these critique videos don't understand that, or they're just doing it for views because hating the things that you are, or pretend to be a fan of, is popular nowadays. Obviously I'm not saying that all critiques of Minecraft are bad. That would be insane. However, what I am saying is that the critiques that revolve around treating the game as if it's only as good as it's survival mechanics, are just bad faith.

"Why can I go on for hours why this game sucks" you can't, you literally can't, there isn't even enough bad things in the game to make a 1 minute video. Fuck, you could take all the games and DLCs, including Captain Spirit, and you couldn't even make a 4 minute video. Granted I live in Colorado, not Oregon, but having graduated in 2012, the speech isn't far off from how teens talked, especially via text. Exaggerated a little, yes, but not far off. Also, "Go fuck your selfie" is fucking brilliant, especially to someone who takes a lot of selfies like Max does. I don't know a single person who played LiS who didn't see the suicide attempt coming, and DONTNOD didn't try to hide it either like you imply. Also of course your powers stop working, Max just strained them beyond their normal parameters, we already know the heavy effect they have on her. You also act like someone attempting suicide is thinking reasonably, Kate's emotions are going to be all over the place, and she will bounce from appreciating your attempts but hating herself.

There is no way you said this shit about LiS music, all of it is amazing, but also, it is complete BS because one of the songs is by the band Bright Eyes, whose lead is Conor Oberst, who is pretty much the Bob Dylan of our time. Not only a great singer, but also one if the best if not the best lyricist of the modern era, also a brilliant musician who can play a multitude of instruments.

tbh, one of the most surprising things is just how much I tried to keep myself back in this game. One time I played on peacful with my partner and it was the best experiance I've had in the game, much better than the netherite-level world I've had before And recently I played on a pseudo-anarchy smp with my friends and used cheats [they were allowed, and I never used it for pvp], and it was so much fun. Turns out for me it was all about interactions with other players and building, also kind of automation but mostely bc I am just tired of doing the same thing again.
Let's build a castle then. With mighty walls and ramparts. With beautiful gothic design. With colorful banners and titanic chambers. So that song may ever echo in its halls.
We dont need to restrict mending we need more and better enchants. theres no "builds" in minecraft. only enchants you will always use and ones you will never use.

Knowing everything makes the game not fun, if i wipe everything i know about the game and only leave the essentials and play the game again, i think would have alot of fun just exploring the game from a new mind

I hated it first time around, so played it again. Far Cry 6, upon second play through, just sucks. It has zero atmosphere, the whole place is 2D and dead, they built a city that you can barely go into, the post-storyline is completely unsatisfying (you basically achieve nothing through the story). I'd rather you were just plonked back in the world to finish all the little jobs/bases you didn't do during the story playthrough (like in all the other FC games), the weapon system was moronic (did anyone use any resolver crap? I sure didn't, or those stupid backpack things). And worst of all, you're not a FAR CRY from anything. In all the other games it involves someone being flung into a situation a "far cry" from normality. In this, you're already in that world and you've been in the army so none of it is new to you. I don't agree about the story. The characters were all terrible, boring cartoons and not one of them had any real edge. It's like THPS Underground did FC. And OMFG the crappy bases and 3rd party camera.
Seriously, try Vintage Story.

it was a cool game but the racing community kinda sucks
It has been a gradual decline since Far Cry 3, and the enemy density and difficulty play a big, linked role in that. With each installment, Ubisoft has crammed more action and gunfights into the game until Far Cry 6 was one, non-stop gunfight. Because the game is a constant gunfight, you have to make the protagonist Superman if you don't want new and casual players to rage-quit. In FC3, my non-gamer dad could still have fun exploring the island and only occasionally getting bodied by a cassowary. The new games have easier enemies and outposts, but the experience just fills him with anxiety until it's not a fun experience anymore.
What do you guys think about a more progression based game like terraria?
I don't think I've played Minecraft since the dragon became a thing and I've definitely never done it, but is there a reason for it? I'm pretty sure the Endermen are friendly unless you do something specific (lock eyes with them?) and the Ender Dragon seems to be hanging out in his domain doing his own thing. Is it just big game hunting? The video game equivalent off flying to Africa to shoot the last white rhino? Every open-ended/survival game seems to make the wrong choice with intrinsic goals, I was really into DayZ this past year, but the game is so much less interesting when you're creeping through dark hallways with a full military loadout and shooting other players on sight. I think if you talk to anybody, their favorite DayZ moment is creeping through the woods with 3 bullets and a busted stab vest, wondering if the guy you hear is gonna be friendly or not, and hoping you see him first so you can decide whether to shoot. On a different note, I think Minecraft did a really specific kind of damage to gaming, right out the gate. I remember talking with my friends about Minecraft when it was brand new and and mentioning that I'd figured out how to make all the basic tools, armor, a stove, etc, but they were like "oh dude, you just use the wiki. Don't try to figure it out." And that's the worst possible answer for a game like this, but it's built into the base game itself, you are not supposed to explore and figure things out on your own. It's different from an experience like Dark Souls where you figure things out slowly as a community and have some kind of in-universe method for sharing info, it's just the first big "wiki open on the second monitor" game that's so common nowadays.

Joseph is no where near a libertarian. He's a socialist. He has no respect for Property Rights. Meanwhile the militias of Hope County that oppose him are Libertarian and Conservative. Fighting the cultists with the very weapons they were told they would never need because some Californian with private security is scared of a 100 year old black rifle. Far Cry 5 is a story that encompasses why private firearm ownership is so important. Even the government in this game was infiltrated by these cultists (see Dispatch). I point towards this game whenever I need a simple easy to digest story as to why Gun control is just another means of oppression. Despite all of the facts, statistics and common sense present there are still people who cannot grasp that there will always be people out to get them and that having the means to protect yourself and your property is just as important if not more so than having the right to speak freely or to vote for an elected representee. Before someone says "But muh F15", F15s and MQ-9 Reapers cannot patrol Street corners. There's a reason why we could not win in Afghanistan despite overwhelmingly having overmatch over the Taliban. Of course any gun control argument is now lost now that 3D printers are wide spread.
I think the problem is a lot of games seek to fix problems that never existed or follow the 'more is better' philosophy.
How did those visuals made it past the user tests? I play a lot of Diablo and other ARPGs so I'm used to some visual clutter but that shit is too bad even for me
To be honest ive always found the High Chaos mode way more fun in the context of a father hellbent on revenge for his wife and child missing. I know id kill for my daughter. But the ending does make sense, killing changes you, and those changes often effect those you love the most.
