Yes, the tooling is from 1965, just like the box art and the instructions. And that is actually the point with the Musee range, to have them as close as possible to the original release 50 or 60 years ago. Very similar to Airfix' Vintage Classics range.

Thanks for doing this 'WITB' video, they are always appreciated, especially when the lighting, as you have it, is bright and even. The music? Yeah, too loud, certainly at the start, but also in later places. I'd hazard a guess that the majority demographic interested in this kit is probably people 40+, so perhaps something less invasive on the audio. Maybe, add bits of commentary? Just my opinion. The majority may disagree.
@RandoDude6824 ай бұрын
Hello, thank you for the comment. I will dial down the music in future videos for sure, the selection will remain dependent on my mood of the day though. Also, I don't think I will do commentary anytime soon, I'd rather have the kit speak for itself (and I'm too lazy to do that kind of extra work, haha).

@RandoDude682 the issue is that, like revell, they don't even bother to mention "vintage classic kit". Being French I built most of my kits from heller boxes when I was a kid and finished by being fed up with their poor fit, 1mm gaps between wings and fuselage... It's 2023, if you don't market your box as new with starter sets and so on while your tooling is older than new modellers' parents. It feels like a rip off and on top of that it will deter any new modellers.
@RandoDude6824 ай бұрын
@@Chodaboysaix sure, they don't call it "vintage classic" or something, but in many, if not most of their new yellow boxings they tell you on the backside when the mold was made. Especially with obviously older kits like this one. Unfortunately, in the starter kit range that info is often covered by the warning sticker for the included glue. However, why they turned almost every kit also into a starter kit is beyond me. Some of them just don't fit that label by parts count and complexity alone.
@Fenix4Gears4 ай бұрын
@@RandoDude682 Pro life hack : Don't waste your time making a video of a crap kit that only unsuspecting people or noobs (like you) will buy, because as said below, a kit without any detail and with 1mm gaps doesn't even deserve a video to be made, especially when It's about this company called heller that only lives off reboxing old molds.
