Great video my man. Perfect mix of outdoors and watch content. Sometimes we forget that the time the watch tells is the time of our lives, and we should spend it doing cool stuff, outdoors. Meaningful and exciting stuff! Because time doesn’t last forever - at least not in this life!
@@jackrake5598 well said, I may end up borrowing some of the comments in future videos! Thanks for watching.
Ty! For the video!
Me compre uno y lo cuido mucho y me encanta este reloj lo cuido mas que mi citizen tsuyoza 😂😂
Pagani Design and San Martin are so successful with their homages because watch brands like Omega and Rolex have lost their way. The Speedmaster was always a very special tool watch, and Omega could have done so much with it. Instead, they turned it into an increasingly luxurious product without significantly improving it. Omega could have taken the opposite approach. In the 60s, you could have had a Speedmaster for the equivalent of $1500 to $2000 today. With technological advances, there could be a $1000 or even $750 Speedy, alongside higher-end models. Imagine a $750 quartz Speedy with radio syncing, solar power, decent water resistance, and a nice steel case. We could have that! For customers who prefer a mechanical movement, a more expensive option could be available. A gold Speedmaster, however, is probably something that should not even exist. Omega needs gold DeVilles, but a tool watch like the Speedmaster? Why? Which hypothetical astronaut or race car timer needs that? The modern world needs my hypothetical quartz Speedmaster more.
@@cunawarit watches, and their various price points\value for money is interesting to me. Thank you for watching!
I'll eagerly await the deeper (wait for it....pun) nope no pun, review of the Steeldive and 50 fathoms design.
Great review on the Thorn, but I prefer my Steeldive 1952 for the reasons you pointed out. I bought it used with three straps for $50 and wear it more than any other watch in my collection. I added a nice rubber strap and use the Steeldive clasp from the metal bracelet for secure closure.
@@wyldercycles7801 the Steeldive(and every watch of theirs I own) are really solid good watches! I’ve taken a break since that video but stay tuned I look at that Steeldive way more closely as well as several over BlancPain inspired watches.
No thanks, you can hang on to your cheap shiny plastic pretend watches & your horrible junk Chinese made watches. I'll stick with an American made field watch that is actuality made in the USA, Good luck to you & your Chinese Website & Chinese made watches. I'll also hang on to my reputation in the watch world & not sell it to the Chinese for a few free junky Chinese Watches.
No I sell most of em on. The two in this video covered half the cost of a Bulova Mil-Ships. I am not sponsored! Lmao I buy every watch I have in my possession, at the same price as anybody off the street, I share no links! I do not have a store. I have had plenty of offers! But I turn down every one of them. Thanks for watching!
I just bought a white Paul Newman Pagani to wear as a daily beater and I have an original Rolex steel bezel Daytona circa 2015 that I only wear on certain occasions. A "Real" Paul Newman is at least a $200,000 dollar watch in average condition so out of my price range. My Rolex Steel bezel Daytona over $20,000 value is actually out of my price range as well, but I'm old and worth it cause I want it!
Killer piece. Theres a reason they demand that premium. I took the bracelet on the PG and I brushed the center links with a green scotch brite pad. Really added to the vintage vibe imo.
I think brushing center links is a plus for vintage look. Ceramic bezel is a dead giveaway that mine isn't an actual Paul Newman. The early original Daytonas are pretty fragile and don't come close to the in house movements that appeared later. Even these are not as accurate or as durable as the VK 63 caliber mecca quartz. I also retired an Omega speedy with a Pigani and it's a super time piece. I also build bikes and cycles as a hobby.
@@wyldercycles7801 sweet! Bikes are a fun hobby of mine, always have been. I did a PG speedy video as well. Of all their watches it’s their best imho
You are 100% correct the Pagani "Speedy" is their very best offering. I put mine on an Omega case fitting, black rubber strap and wear it a lot. You have the best quality channel in every metric. Only a few of the snob watch guys come close to you in production work and accurate terminology. I especially dislike the long unboxing ritual of any timepiece regardless of value. I plan on watching all of your past reviews and look forward to those to be presented....
@@wyldercycles7801 thank you! I’ve taken a lil break but be patient! I go back to filming this week.
💯💯💯💯
Love that strap on it, just ordered the watch, where you get that nato strap from? Loved the clip by the way
The NATO came from a web site crown & Buckle. Thank you for watching
Nice snow hike. I want to make fun of Pagani watches, but the Red Shovel DD keeps really good time. An nh35 that consistently runs +7 s/d that's a keeper. Cool video 👍👍
I very much appreciate that. These watches… I like making videos right? And they are a cheap way to get allotta variety. An now that I’ve put a few videos out… that brand is very popular. I am going to start shying away from the ones that just copy other brands new models. But if there’s say knock offs of vintage models, I like those. Thanks again for the sub man! I appreciate it!
This. Is. Brilliant.
Can you help me, i want to by the best homage of fifty fathoms. Can't choose between WatchDive, SteelDive and Thorn😢
LOL I’m working on a series of videos where I nail down my favorite. Spoiler the Watchdives with Sapphire is 👑! The new bronze Thorns are good as well, but for the classic fifty fathoms… watchdives gets everything perfect.(atleast the one I received)
@@MyWatchChannel thank you, when is that video coming out?
I’m filming the watchdives now… am shooting for the next week or so.
Stunning review
Thank you!
Greetings from Serbia...great video narative and watch...lovely shots and music...love to see next vlog
Thank you so much!
The watch world changed in 1969 (coincidence?) with the first quartz watch. A true revolution. Now I can witness a new revolution: Good watches for reasonably price from China.
I rarely reply to YT videos, but this was shot and edited beautifully! Kudos to you sir!
Thank you very much!
Love love your video, i do have the same pagani, i’ll do what you said, enjoy adventure with it, ❤❤❤❤thank you, i will have memories with my paganis❤
In the end that’s what matters!
Excellent production!
Thank you very much!
Realy great review and video. Love the end music. I pulled the trigger on the bronze one from thorn with the no rad logo. I love it
Oh you did!? I have the same on the way, looking forward to seeing it. Thank you for watching.
Is pd1692 the explorer or air king homage???
Explorer. BUT they may use that model# for several different dial versions, including an air king.
I liked this video and your no nonsense approach. I am dying to see how the watchdives blancpain homage stands up to the thorn ,steel dive ,etc and I am in full agreement with you that dive watches are the best. I have no room whatsoever for a flieger,or a field watch or a dress watch in my collection. I have an homage to the Rolex explorer I but it is not the dressiest watch in terms of being slim or on a leather strap, which I don’t like to see on a diver.Ever
Interesting you bring up the watchdives I just was think of grabbing one of the titanium versions…
@@MyWatchChannel they have a stainless version that is $79 and it looks really good
I have both of those Pagani's too, great fun watches. Excellent video sir 👍
To kind thank you! I love mine, wear em often and 3 yrs in og batteries running strong
Nice video ❤🎉
Thank you
Interesting videos. Great watch review. If Pagani would put more luminosity (C3X1 or X1BGW9) on their watches they would sell even more even if they had to increase by $10-$20 dollars theirs watches. I also like they just put the logo. I went on googles maps to see where was that beautiful place. Nice. Keep up the good word. ! subscribed to your channel and put as much like as I can. Greetings from a frog in Montréal. Take care everyone.⏳
Ya I don’t understand, there other brand from China that on average cost less but have amazing lume(Steeldive for example)
I won’t buy a moonswatch on the secondary market, and I don’t live near a swatch store, Swatch can go away for all I care, Have a pd-1701 being delivered tomorrow, my protest to swatch!
Having both… the 1701 is simply better.
I have this watch coming in the mail, it was $52 the other day, thank you for the beautiful review.
I hope you enjoy it! I enjoy mine, have been wearing the past couple days actually.
I am in love with it. And shortly after I found this one I found another one for $45. I had to buy it too at that price. One thing you should know there is a 904 stainless steel bracelet that will fit this watch. It leaves slight gaps around the bezel but it is a better bracelet than what came with the watch. Also it has that new Rolex glide lock. 904 is beautiful you should check it out.
Really an excellent video. Thank you!
Thank you so much!
can you share the link to buy it
Fortunately I have no affiliate links like so many watch channels. Which means I’m not trying to sell anything! I found this on Amazon, but is available through their website, as well as a number of AliExpress sellers as well. In the US I prefer Amazon so long as the price is ok… Amazon has great return policies, if anything is wrong with the item(which I have had a few Pagani designs arrive with problem’s right out of the box)
I like the style of your videos very much. Regards from Germany
Thank you very much!
Nice video. Thx
Even though the watch on your wrist is not suitable for this activity, I appreciate that you use it with great enthusiasm. 👌🏻
That’s interesting, I think it’s totally suitable! Thanks for watching
Now that's a watch review. Strap on your watch and put it to the test. Very cool.
Thanks, that kinda my idea…
Can you please let me know what's the size of the caseback? Is it possible to change it to a full steel one?
I wouldn’t be able to measure the threaded part itself, and than you also have to account for the amount of dish(?) the back has etc etc I’m not sure if there’s a way to nail down a replacement unless ur a watch maker and happen to either have an assortment of or access too. I mean I could put dial calipers and get just the O.D. Of the external portion…
@@MyWatchChannelThat would be awesome! If I can find at least the same diameter caseback I will take a risk and order the watch to try it :D
yes indeed , i bought 2 tag monaco homages from specht and sohne they are simply fantastic 80 euro as opposed to 7000 euro. and well its simply a no brainer, yes i love the real thing and could but im not daft enough to drop that sort of cash on a watch that is likely to loose its value over time. pagani are pretty good at this game. i also have the Pagani version -IWC portuguiser and thats really very good, & where it all started for me. the collecting just seems to keep going. .....😏
I’ve been considering that iwc version. Thanks for watching!
I have this same one and I love it. It was my first watch with sapphire crystal too. I did change out the bracelet for a jubilee style and a couple nato’s. Love this thing.
The bracelet does “feel” cheap, but has grown on me… I imagine very similar to what a vintage bracelet would be like.
I just got this for $55! What a friggin deal! Also Hello from Spokane!!!
PNW-ner now we’re talking! It’s a fantastic watch out of all the paganis’ I have(and it’s allot) this one is their best.
Would have been a lot better with 4 minutes more of the watch and 4 minutes less of the fluff at the start.
The bezel is different the ones I've found online. Is this an older model. I like it better than what I've seen available now.
It is the latest version. They corrected the hands, and there may be other differences as well.
I own it. smells like a speedy, tastes like a speedy. beautiful watch $80.
Thanks for watching!
I have the PD-1667 Omega Seamaster 007 homage and it's one of the best watches you'll find for $100 with the Seiko NH35 movement. It runs 3 seconds fast a week! I definitely want one of these subs mariners!
Best Watch Review I have seen in a minute. Nice to see some practical use cases. The timelapse rose gold shot in the melting cocktail was brilliant. Tight lines!
Thanks
@@MyWatchChannel I agree, you explain the watch completely, consider all ocassion. I love to see more review like this, i like the way you take the video, the angle is also really anjoyable, good job
Agree with this review 100%. These are the Royal Enfield interceptor 650 of watches. Functional, retro look, modern tech.
I like that
Agree that it would look better and would be easier to use if it had a larger crown but the smaller crown is faithful to the original. Also agree that the dial text would look better if it was less busy with the removal of the exploration road. Worth noting that you can buy a poly watch glass polish application that allows you to buff out scratches on mineral glass.
All very true I notice on their new bronze version, it is sapphire, an you can choose text or no text on the dial. Thanks for watching!
Great review
Appreciate this!
Love ‘em
I really like how your videos are filmed. The production is great. So nice to see nature shots and the watch actually being used. Please, keep up the great work!
Thank you very much!
