In my opinion, just the first one was a layback. From my understanding, in the layback, the surfer will delay the snap and push the tail hard in order to make the tail scaping from the wave. The surfer will fall with his back on the wave and the power of the wave will push the surfer forward make him stand up again. It's like sliding down in a playground slider and standing up at the bottom of the wave. All beautiful tricks though. Thanks for the video.

I think the monitor had his lunch break. I am a nube surfer but atleast i would've told these guys to turtle roll. It's easy. Or as the wave bashes into your board you shift your weight forward... It must be frustrating for these guys not being able to see a possiblity to get out back.

Just the fact that it's waist deep shorebreak that they're struggling to get through... More on the instructors part. You'd think they'd explain to push your board _over_ the white wash instead of through...

That's exactly what I was saying either turtle roll or duckdive to get through waves. On top of that most of them were scared sh*t holding on to their boards. Lot of them didn't even look up,didn't need to paddle much bc the waves were coming in so hot plus they werent paddling correctly ,and idk what stance they learnt most of them didn't even try to stand...Damn shame

Backside round house is the SHIT. Lay down and turn off the first turn going back into the wave, looking right at it, straight up back into the lip, keeping as much speed as possible.. BAMM.........right back into the wave. Repeat. Well, if you are a Trestle's rat.

LOL!!!!!! 80% of the people that are trying to surf shouldn't be in the water. They actually don't want or are afraid!!! They never learn! Surfing propaganda and marketing is what drive those people to try. No matter how much money they give to the so called "instructor". It's a joke! Thanks for publishing the entertainment! Thanks for those who sacrifice their money paying the "instructor" and their time for this video! The real surfers never give up, but also never pay any "instructor"!
