    Very interesting how Andrew Yang claims to be a champion of the working class while also crossing the picket line to collect speaking fees from the UC which pays its grad students so little that they have to set up food pantries for them

  • @jessicaschirle5974
    @jessicaschirle5974 Жыл бұрын

    Exactly this! I just wanted to point out that UCI doesn't set up a food pantry for us. The FRESH Basic Needs Hub was started by undergraduates many years ago, though now it's controlled by UCI. They often just tell us to apply for food stamps.

    A very valid question from a student-worker in the audience still unsatisfactorily answered: "Does the forward party endorse crossing picket lines to collect a speaking fee or is that a unique personal position?" (Min. 37:40)

  • @moonxero
    @moonxero Жыл бұрын

    I’m confused by this statement. The student stands up, walks to the front, and interrupts their discussion to ambush the speaker about UC employees being on strike and the university paying speaking fees?

  • @ferdelacruz7246
    @ferdelacruz7246 Жыл бұрын

    @@moonxero Yes. The student confronted both the host and the speaker for crossing the picketing line. It was a brave act of non-violence. Had the speaker shown some form of support for the strike, he could have won 48 thousand voters, should he choose to run again.

    How it does not work. By reflecting away 30% of the incoming solar radiation the albedo, which would not exist w/o the atmosphere and its so-called GreenHouse Gases, makes the earth cooler than it would be without the atmos/GHGs much like that reflective panel propped up on the car dash. Remove the atmos/GHGs and the earth becomes much like the moon, an arid, barren rock with a 0.1 albedo, 20% more kJ/h, hot^3 on the lit side, cold^3 on the dark. If this is correct, the Radiative GreenHouse Effect theory fails. For the GHGs to warm the surface with downwelling energy as advertised they must absorb/trap/delay/intercept “extra” energy from somewhere in the atmospheric system. According to RGHE theory the source of that “extra” upwelling energy is the surface radiating as a near ideal Black Body. As demonstrated by experiment the surface cannot radiate BB because of cooling by the non-radiative heat transfer processes of the contiguous atmospheric molecules. If this is correct, RGHE theory fails. How it does works. To move fluid through a hydraulic resistance requires a pressure difference. To move current through an electrical resistance requires a voltage difference. To move heat through a thermal resistance requires a temperature difference. (Q=UAdT) Physics be physics. The complex thermal resistance (R=1/U) of the atmosphere (esp albedo, net Q) is responsible for the temperature difference (dT=Tsurf-Ttoa) between the warm terrestrial surface and the cold edge of space (32 km). And that heat transfer process involves the kinetic energy of ALL of the atmospheric molecules not just 0.04% of them.

    Please add solutions also with this video. Please compare the Moisture Capture Unit ( AWG = Atmospheric Water Generator for even 2000 LPD ) from Akvo and Vayujal; & other Indian companies. Think of cost, sales network, maintenance network, after sales service, weight, average power consumption per 100 liter of water etc. From Kolkata Mr Navkaran Singh Bagga is a pioneer in Atmospheric Water Capture units His website is akvosphere.com/akvo-atmospheric-water-generators/ They are doing very well. see video kzread.info/dash/bejne/nmap3LCmdJqTfqQ.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/rKBh18utmJjRqKg.html Vayujal units are seen at vayujal.com While prima facie it seems to me that Akvo units are more efficient than Vayujal units. They have bigger and better network. My perception is Vayujal is very new and being run by fresh engineers. Akvo is around as a company for many years now. see kzread.info/dash/bejne/h4lomNOllbzeZKg.html Channel of Akvo is kzread.info/dron/xl9jxLZ2ednGxQgJAOx5PA.htmlvideos Channel of Vayujal is kzread.infovideos You can see 40 liter a day mainly. while can comment separately on other units. Be aware in India already atleast 6 more separate companies are selling similar units in "high demand". e.g. Meghdoot, BEL Bharat Electronics, Morning Dew, Liquipro, Airowater kzread.info/dash/bejne/f4SLy9mGaLbQndo.html watermakerindia.com/ Morning Dew www.cleanwaterproblem.com/our-products/ Liquipro liquipro.in/products Thanks and Regards Professor Subhashish Chattopadhyay, Bangalore See his website also www.kvpyiitjeeolympiad.engineering

    Different people are afraid of different things. We see people in the world and they tell you to wear a mask and we can actually see their fear. Their fear blinds them to everything behind the curtain that you can see. It’s frustrating to you, but they are afraid of something different than YOU are afraid of. They are afraid of illness. You are afraid of what the world is succumbing to. They are watching the news, and they get afraid...very afraid. Their fear has blinded them to the manipulation in the media and from the “experts” that seems so obvious to you. Imagine having the opportunity to go skydiving. The instructor is not afraid, but you are. It’s your first time jumping from an airplane! He does it every day. What creates fear in you does NOT create fear in him. But he is tolerant with your fears , because he is your instructor and he has to be. There are people in the world who are being told a story. The story is very scary to them. For some reason, that story is not scary to you. But you are afraid of other things. You are afraid of what will happen to us if they continue to acquiesce. Everyone is afraid of something, so we can empathize with fear itself. We understand what it is to be afraid of something that feels like it’s headed towards us like a screeching train off the rails. Your train looks different from theirs, but you can understand that they are truly afraid. You can be tolerant and patient with their fear.
