Can you explain the hop in the second drill?

the hop is to ensure the athlete is balanced and has even weight distribution, typically with beginners they shift too much weight and cant time the shift back on the entry

Rasheed Flowers it all depends on the individual. I mostly use drills to reinforce a deficiency. Get the athlete to throw full throws in the first day.
