    I can't begin to thank you enough for sharing these episodes on KZread. My life-long dream is traveling to Isreal and participating in an escavation. I'm old now but this is something I've only dreamed of. I love history science and of course archeology. Thank you from western North Carolina.

    When you take the tunnel tour and see the scale and exquisite craftsmanship of the earliest stages of the wall, you realize that in ancient times something magical was happening that captured the hearts and minds of the earliest people, and directed them on a path of worship that still exists today. This tour is a must for anyone who wants to believe in a higher power and that power's influence on Earth in ancient times. Ancient superior architecture does not lie!

    What a fantastic find and the beautiful opportunity you gave him and his family to visit the Israel Antiquities Authority and the National Treasures Department. You may have changed a wonderful young life and given him a fresh vision for his future, and I was blessed to see how you cared for him. God bless you and the Nation of Israel.

    There is no "goddess". There is however the one true God, his son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the only way to Salvation. He Loves you so much. Our Blessed Hope, our Savior Jesus Christ. Do you know him? Do "you", ("whoever" is reading this), know Jesus? Even more, are you "Saved"? If Jesus were to return today, "now", would you be ready? Are you ready? That is the one question that you, and everyone, better know the answer to, because that is the most important decision you will ever make. Jesus is the "ONLY WAY TO SALVATION". There is no other way, "none". This "life" that you are living now, is a "limited" existence. The life after this is "ETERNAL", which brings us to another question: "Where do you want to spend eternity?" Well, you have only "two" choices: either "HEAVEN" or "HELL"! Not everyone will go to Heaven and likewise not everyone will go to Hell. It's your choice! It's always been your choice. Have you ever wondered why we all don't go to Heaven? Well, it's because of just one thing. But that "one" thing "separates" us all from God, and that one thing, is "SIN"! We are all born into sin, everyone is, and the Bible says that the wages (penalty) of sin is "Death". You see, because of our sins, when we all die, we are all "eternally separated" from God. But you know what? God Loves you so much that he made a way for you, for all of us. The Bible also teaches us that even though the penalty (wages) for our sins is death, we can gain SALVATION (a GIFT FROM GOD) through his only begotten son, Jesus Christ. God made a way! He sacrificed his only son, for "you"! That's how much he Loves you. ROMANS 6:23 kjv For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Here's the GOOD NEWS, (THE GOSPEL) Jesus took your sins and paid your sin debt in full. He took all your sins, past, present and future, to the Cross, shed his Blood and literally DIED for your sins, was buried and then God raised him from the dead three days later. Anyone who believes in the finished work of Jesus Christ will be Saved. That's THE GOSPEL (which means GOOD NEWS). 1 CORINTHIANS 15:1-4 kjv 15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. He paid the price so you don't have to. Jesus is the ONLY ONE who could. He is the ONLY WAY. JOHN 14:6 kjv 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. God gives you, all of us, this "GIFT", because he Loves you. How much does God Love you? Well, let me ask you this: "Could you sacrifice your only child?" That is exactly what our Heavenly Father did. He gave (sacrificed) his only begotten son, Jesus, for "you", for the "WHOLE WORLD"! JOHN 3:16-18 kjv 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Please, don't let Gods "sacrifice" (for you) be in vain. Jesus "died" for you. Please "Live" (eternally) for him.

    It would be nice if the scholars would stick to their field of expertise, and not make conclusions that reach into other fields they are unfamiliar with. Dr. Adler concludes: "It is commonly thought that Jewish law is static and does not develop. Our ongoing research on ancient tefillin shows that the exact opposite is true; Jewish law has always been dynamic. In my view, it is this vibrancy that makes halakhah so beautiful.” Unfortunately, he is mixing apples and oranges. When Orthodox Jews say that Halacha is non-negotiable, they are referring to Torah law. Any law that is explicit in the Torah, or whose meaning was agreed upon by the rabbis of the Talmud, is static and non-negotiable ever since. Regarding the need for tefillin cases to be dyed black, it is not stated clearly in the Talmud, and most early halachic sages from the post-Talmudic eras held that this is not a requirement, but merely a preference. They even noted that many people in their times did not have black cases. Hence, finding non-black cases is no revolutionary discovery, and it does not prove that halacha may be changed over time as we see fit.

    Are the owners of this channel stupid? Or ignorant? I want to hear the people speaking and instead I get this loud idiotic music which should not exist it all or at the very least be quiet in the background. Is anyone paying attention to the editing? Or is it like too many chefs in the kitchen design by committee editing over there? I WANT TO HEAR THE PEOPLE TALKING!!!

    This was probably a Phoenician or an Ugaritic ship traveling to Cyprus or Mycenean Greece, or vice versa - an early Greek ship travelling to the Levant. Could be a Hittite one as well, but it's less likely i think.

    It is a great discovery, but I don't see how it proves they could navigate out of sight of land? This ship presumably didn't sink by choice, so how do we know it arrived at that spot by choice? Surely an alternative hypothesis is that it was simply blown off course by a storm before finally being overpowered and sunk by that storm? Have I missed something? 🤔

  • @tinknal6449
    @tinknal6449Ай бұрын

    I see your point but traveling coastlines was tricky business and far more dangerous than the open seas. I would imagine those folks figured that out pretty quickly. Also, even then time was money and a direct trip would be more profitable than hugging the coastline for hundreds of miles. The Phoenicians were known as a seafaring people.

  • @DarrenGedye
    @DarrenGedyeАй бұрын

    @@tinknal6449 Yeah, CS Lewis referred to the tendency to assume we are smarter than ancient peoples as "Chronological Snobbery". I'm not opposed to the idea they could navigate. I just didn't see how this discovery proves it as the video claims.
