Congrats on your new channel. Pinay power!
Thank you so much!! Happy to have you here 🤗
I love the aesthetic of your home! Great tips; "scheduled worrying" was a fantastic tool that my therapist taught me as well.
Thank you so much! I love all things cozy and try to make my space feel that way. Scheduled worrying has been such a huge help to me and I’m glad it’s been helpful for you too!
Favourite book so far is The Women, loved it, going to re read and annotate. Babel is on my TBR, no worst books so far
Hi! I can’t wait to read The Women, Hannah Kristin is one of my favorite authors, I’m so glad you loved it!
I totally agree with you! It's so important to cherish your daily life! That makes up most of our days, so it's necessary to feel comfortable being with oneself and to care for one's own good. Very nice vlog, I'd love to see more of the positive selfcare!
@@kiraku_ni thank you for watching! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video ☺️ I absolutely agree that it’s important to celebrate the little moments of life like we do with the big moments. I have more ideas coming so stay tuned!
@@nicole-bautista I absolutely agree! Thanks for being so positive, I'm curious to see more ☺

Loved your articulation of thoughts. Completely agree with the recent trend of selfcare focusing on beauty and wellness, consumerism etc. this video has been really helpful. Please do continue making such videos. Love how you have so perfectly and concisely presented your thoughts on the topic. ❤
Thank you, that makes me so happy! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and stay tuned for more videos on this topic 😃

You are becoming my comfort youtuber❤
Awww 🥰 thank you so much, that makes me so happy! I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos ❤️
I highly recommend The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah!! It is incredible and it may bring back a similar feeling from The Great Alone as it is the same author!
Thank you for the rec! That books is definitely on my TBR, I love Kristin Hannah’s books so much!
Thanks for the great video! My favourite read of the year has been Babel (but this is a re-read for me, otherwise I think it's been a Study in Drowning) and my most disappointing read of the year so far has been The Picture of Dorian Gray 😭
Thank you for watching 😊 ooh babel is on my TBR as well and I’m glad you loved it!
Recommend me a romance novel
I’m not a huge romance reader but the best romances I’ve read this year are Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez and Happy Place by Emily Henry 😃
I haven't read any books by Kristin Hannah but will definitely be adding the author to my list! Favorite book was Out on a Limb by Hannah Bonam-Young and biggest disappointment was The Troop by Nick Cutter
If you like historical fiction I think you’ll really like her books!
Mine was love theoretical
One of my favorites of the year is hands down Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez! Some of my most disappointing and highly anticipated reads of 2024 are House of Flame and Shadow by SJM, and Leather & Lark by Brynne Weaver 😩
I want to read just for the summer so badly!! I can’t wait to read it and I’m glad you enjoyed it 😊
What was your favorite book so far and what was your biggest disappointment? Can’t wait to chat about it!!
Loved the intro! Great video. Keep going and growing!!

This was excellent im pro saving money
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video ☺
Hey Nicole, i have found your channel on reddit. You have a really calm energy, and i'm always supportive of such helpful, positive content! I have always struggled with journaling as a habit. I try it for some days and then i stop. I always hear how beneficial it is to do it consistently but for some reason i just can't stick with it. When it comes to the exercise you mentioned in this video, i have never tried writing that down on a paper, but i have tried a similar exercise in my mind and imagination while meditating. I generally think it's really helpful to imagine yourself as old or even in your death bed and think about what you might regret doing/or not doing and what your priorities should be.. it's a really powerful thing to think about. I might try doing that as a writing exercise in the future, which might give me some different insights about myself. Thank you for this content! :)
Hi! Thank you so much for watching and for all of your kind, and positive comments. I'm glad that you enjoyed this video! I can definitely relate to building consistent habits, it can be really challenging sometimes! What do you think might be your biggest hurdle/barrier to journaling more frequently? One of my biggest challenges initially was that I felt like I didn't have enough time, and one thing that really helped me was to keep my journal on my bed stand and to just jot down 1 thing I was grateful for or something positive that happened in my day. It helped me create the habit of just writing something down daily. Sometimes I will have longer journaling sessions to do exercises like the one in this video, but that's not as often. I think meditation is also such a great way to reflect on this topic, thank you for sharing!
@@nicole-bautista hmmm.. it's really hard to figure out the exact reason i can't be stick with journaling. It has been much easier for me to build other habits, but this one is what i struggle with the most hahaha. I think the 'there is no time' thing is probably one of the reasons.. i also find it difficult to figure out what to journal about. my day? my emotions? some random experience? my brain tries tend to overthink what i'm writing and i find it hard to just write whatever comes to my brain. Do you think maybe starting small with journaling could help? like maybe at the start writing just one sentence and increasing that everyday? i didn't try that before, maybe that could make the habit stick! .. thank you for the comment! ^^
@@Cognitive_Wisdom I totally understand that! Sometimes it’s hard to write on a blank page! I have a 5 minute journal where it has a few prompts to answer like “what are three things you’re grateful for, what would make today great,” and a space for an affirmation. Sometimes starting with a guided prompt can help. And I think starting with something small and building up to it is a great idea! Even just a sentence of one memorable thing that happened today, etc. I’m thinking of making a video about different kinds of journaling ideas so stay tuned 😊
This is such a great video! Exactly what I needed to hear rn 🥹🫶
Thank you for watching! I'm glad it was helpful 🙂
good content, keep it up :) I'm here from reddit. Wish you success.
Thank you for watching!!
Your videos are so cozy! Love❤
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the video 💕
It's so important to take a moment to reflect and check in on if we're living the life we truly desire. Do you use any apps or technology to help you journal?
I completely agree with you! Journaling is such a wonderful tool for reflection. I use Notion currently mostly for planning and to store my weekly and monthly reflection questions. I also used notability when I was a student for my notes. But most of my journaling is in my physical notebooks ☺️ there’s something about a pen and paper that is so soothing! What about you? What’s your favorite way to journal?
What is one weekly happiness habit you're going to start doing? 🌻
🫂💕
Thank you!
I love this one Nicole

Dragonfruit of course ☺and I also just started Next to You by Hannah Bonam-Young last night
the three body problem by cixin liu, and the first game of thrones book!!
@@ericavollbrecht5611 how are you liking them so far? My husband just picked up three body problem and I wanted to read it once he’s done!
@@nicole-bautista I'm only about 50 pages in, but I'm finding it really interesting so far!! We're friends on Goodreads so I'll definitely upload my rating once I finish :))
I love a matcha latte with oat milk and honey! Also, this is a beautifully edited video! I wonder, as well, if you're Pinay? I'm half Filipino, so if you are, twinsies!
I absolutely love that drink too! Yes! I’m Filipino as well, so glad to have you here ❤
For me Overthinking is a Disease. We need to stop doing it.
It can certainly have some detrimental effects especially if it’s preventing us from taking action! I think the first thing we can do is bring awareness to when we’re doing it and to use our self-regulating strategies to help us go from rumination to being present!
That's really great advice, thank you! :)
I’m so glad it was helpful ☺️ thank you for watching!
I’ve been looking for booktubers who read similar books to me and I’m so glad I found you! As soon as I saw you unbox Disability Visibility I knew I was in a safe place
I’m so glad that you are here!! Welcome ❤ what are some of your favorite books?
@@nicole-bautista I love historical fiction, especially when we follow generations in a family, like Pachinko, Homegoing, and anything written by Lisa See!
@@SprinkleBooks17 yes!! I also love historical fiction and epic family sagas. Pachinko is on my top 5 books to read this year. I adore Lisa See! Her book “Lady Tan’s Circle of Women” got me back into reading last year. I also read Snow Flower and the Secret Fan. Do you have a fave by her you would recommend?
@@nicole-bautista The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane for sure :) I also just finished The Island of Sea Women which was great as well, and very unique
Great advice! Great video! Thank you!
Hi! Thank you for watching and I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. Stay tuned for more 😊
I love your videos, everything is so beautiful and very helpful🤍 I have anxiety and I think “The Worry List” could help me a looot🫶🏻 Greetings from Mexico!
Thank you so much!! I’m so happy that it was helpful ❤ doing this has really helped me with my anxiety and I hope it can help you too 😊
What do you worry about and what's one thing you can do to work on it?
DNFing books is the worst. I've done this with a couple this month and felt awful, but I couldn't make myself finish them.
Omg I know!! I feel the same lol but some books are just a no go 🤣 I read 10 pages of a book once and I literally had to stop because I couldn’t stand the main character …
@@nicole-bautista so true! I'm also learning that I have hard passes on certain topics and if books dive too into those, I just can't continue. 10 pages is a new record 🤐 I think smallest amount for me was at least 50 pages.
I try to read further to give the book a chance too but the book was just NOT IT for me 😂 I think it may be an unpopular opinion but it was the love hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood. Did I give up on it too soon? Lol
@@nicole-bautista totally get it! that's how I felt with the latest book I dnf'd 😅 I truthfully can't answer that, I still haven't read that book
What was your favorite read last month? 📚
👋
Hi! Hope you enjoyed the video 😃
I love that you are also not a speed reader! Recently with all the hype around people reading 100+ books a year I've felt like the speed that I read is not good (even though I also have a full-time job) but I don't feel like I can really take in the story if I speed up. It's really nice to watch a video from someone who also doesn't read 4 books in a week.
I’m glad that you enjoyed the video! I can totally relate to that feeling of not reading fast enough, especially since I watch a lot of book content. It’s so easy to compare how I am “measuring up” to others but I try to remind myself that everyone has a different situation. For those people who can read over 100 books a year, that’s awesome! But I know it wouldn’t work for me, and that’s okay too 😊 I read because I want to learn new things, immerse myself in new perspectives and stories, and simply because I love it!
You're so perfect , i don't understand how youtube works why would you not have million views?
Aww! Thank you so much! That really made my day. I’m glad that you enjoyed the video 😊
