  I thought half way in that the story was the following: When Jay was a child, he and his mother have been abused by his father. As he was a child there was nothing he could do to protect his mother. It still haunts him to the point, where now in the present, he heard weird noises and projected his trauma onto the neighbor, accusing him of abusing his wife. The neighbor of course because he is innocent denies it and mentions the job his wife does. But Jay, again is projecting hard and does not believe the husband. To the point where Jay then begins to spiral, fully convinced of his own delusion due to his own past experience. But now that he is an adult, he can finally do something about it. He can make it stop now, whereas when he was younger he had zero control of the situation. The Plot-twist would have then been, that Jay just imagined it all, his trauma still having an iron grip over him. He would have called the police, screaming and demanding that they do something, maybe he would have tried to break in the neighbors house, trying to rescue the "beaten" wife himself. And then the police arrive, investigate and find out, that Jay is the "crazy" one. I hope that I explained it well. But that was my immediate thought.

  Part 2: The brother has a birthday and while he is waiting for his sister and friends he peaks through the window and sees the same man he was looking at, he gets a little bit scared but then he gets a call from his mom. The mom says “hello dear” and the brother says “umm can’t talk right now” **Looks down** Then he sees the man gone and he says “oh sh*t sh*t Sh*t!” 5 Likes for more!
