The stagd steel is a good snare for the money. The ludwig superlite steel snares are also great. They have 2.3 mm hoops the yamaha stage steel are i think 1.5 mm hoops bothe are great

Your not crazy. I've had all the kits. I finally got down to one kit a gretsch USA custom 4 pc. I also just picked up the yamaha stagd custom surf green snare like yours its great.slso have the steel stage custom snare. Your yamahs drums are the best bang for the buck. Your tama superstars are a nice kit. Looks like your all set. Bang on brother

What? Don’t need another drum set? Said no drummer ever ! Ha,Ha Tama makes some great drums, I’ve owned couple. One 83/84 Super Mahogany. Great kit just the sizes were too large. I play Ludwig Maples now, something about that Ludwig sound that has me. Great collection there. Have fun and Happy Birthday 🎉

Thanks for the kind words man! Can't go wrong with Ludwigs, I have never owned them but I hear great things on them and they have rich history! Also yeah in the 80s they made drums way bigger it seems! Even my other tama kit I bought used was from 2005, and the toms were bigger than the ones they make on average now. I really dig this kit, my wife wasn't thrilled about another kit but she supports my passion. Cheers dude and happy drumming 🤙🥁😎

Me too! Thank ya sir, this is all I have room for in my house though is 4 kits lol. I think this should do it 🤣🤣🤣 I love them rite out of box, still got stock heads on the toms. I have some new ones for them though. I did put an evans coated on the snare bc it didn't sound that good to my standard.. now it does though, hope you have a drumtastic weekend brother!

Awesome man! I just paid off this set a week ago, took like 3 months. I really dig the stage customs. I almost bought a mapex armory kit recently too, they sound dope in your vids n look very sharp! 🥁

Also the matching snare wasn't in this vid, that's a 6.5 by 14 pearl snare I don't use much so I was giving it some shine. But yeah the birch yamaha shells are great drums. 🤙

Didn't really notice what snare you were using tbh, but hey, I don't use the stock snare for my Mapex's either, so there's no harm in mixing/matching. It's more fun that way anyhow. Glad you like my stuff! I like yours too!

@@T.Maximus I found them in the late 60s I'd had my no-name set (La Boz) for ~a year when my neighborhood buddy invited me over to hear his new set. Yamaha. Fell instantly in love and never fell out. I'd heard Slingerland, Gretsch, and the rest and none had the gorgeous resonance of the Yamaha. I was hooked. If I can manage it, I want to pick up another double-double-tom set-up. Just to be able realign my soul when I need it. You know what I mean.
