  I used to creep past them just to see what they looked like and yep they all got something in common. I stopped a small Luton van once, it had a tail lift and although it was closed up it had lowered itself to almost touching the road and covering its rear lights. I pointed out that the driver should never drive with the power light on in the cab which as well as turning the lift off also prevents the lift coming down all by itself.

  I've done it. The trailer I was hooking up to was too close to get between them to raise the landing gear and was barely off of the ground when I hooked up. I pulled forward enough to inspect the trailer but neglected to raise it. Entirely my own fault. I didn't make it onto the road, but I could have if I didn't happen to notice in my mirrors as I turned. My pti routine changed and I missed it.

  We left Variant, we were sitting way too much! At times we did a 34 hrs reset twice in the same week. They tell you that you can take 2 days off after 2 weeks out, but they are constantly changing everything, so you never know what from one week to the next what to expect. You may have to wait a day or two to get an Empty trailer. And, if you are given a load (i.e, a relay or a refuse load) for you to deliver and unload, they will not pay you to unload or restack the load.

  @@ARLogisticsSchool do you all drive doubles when my husband called he said we’d be driving doubles. Right now we team at xpo and we’re home every weekend and we get just over $5k miles. Our detention pay is more than variant but our cpm is less. We only travel the southwest.
