Kayak Tours and Sauna in Oslo:
“Mad Goat’s mission is to provide joy on the water, whether that’s jumping into the Oslo Fjord after a hot sauna, or exploring the Oslo waterfront by kayak or SUP."
Mad Goats is the original founder of the “Akerselva River Kayak Tour”, which we started over 9 years ago! Over this time we have taken thousands of happy people down this incredible river, which flows through the heart of Oslo.
Mad Goats has “Floating Saunas in Tjuvholmen”, a central waterside district in Oslo. This is also where we start our popular “Oslo Fjord Kayak Tour “Fjord City”.
At our whitewater base in Sjoa, we offer “kayaking and pack-rafting”, both tours and våttkort courses on world-class rivers. Come visit us in the beautiful Heidal Valley, where we have a forest sauna and a hot tub looking out on the magical Sjoa River.
In addition to all these awesome outdoor activities, Mad Goats teaches the “3-hr and 2-day beginner våttkort kayak courses” from Bjørvika in central Oslo

Hello thanks ! ces conseils vont m'être extrêmement utiles et vais tester tout à l'heure au plan d'eau ! Super pédagogie. Gratitude ! Abonnée
Super nice
I learned how to kayak roll with C to C method. I'm planning to learn my sweep roll next , as shown in the video.
Sweep is so much nicer in more situations, and easier on your shoulder. You’ll love it.
Nice video. One of the many ways to do an efficient rescue.
It's all in the way that you use the oar. While capsized underwater you just rotate your oar and you'll pop up on the other side but it's one complete motion like a propeller. I was amazed at how well it worked while I was at summer camp in 1983. Tellico Plains in eastern Tennessee!
The step 5 really helps. Thx for the video.
As someone trying to learn the roll, this was excellent, great at breaking it down. Please keep up the videos 👊🌊
What's the difference between a C to C and a sweep roll?
You r talented
Yeeah! 🤟🏻
Paddling is truly an underrated sport
wrong
Not so sure it’s wrong - maybe just not what you’ve been shown. 👌🏻
Thank you first time ever seeing it under water greatly appreciated 🙏

Hey thanks a lot mate appreciate that!
You disabled comments on your "how to roll a kayak and how to teach a kayak roll", but I really wanted to compliment you on that video, so doing it here. 😀. I have been paddling and instructing for a while now and want to say that video is the best I've seen on how to teach a sweep roll. I share I with everyone who ever expresses interest in learning and or teaching a roll. Thanks for taking the time to post it and all your other videos. If your ever in Ontario Canada, feel welcome to reach out. Cheers.
Hey! Thanks a lot for that! I did not know that so I will go make sure comments are allowed. :)
"Teaching the 'out-and-away' movement, as you're showing here...will only totally CONFUSE a student...because they can't move their hands into the correct positions (from set-up to sweeping the blade out and away from the boat) WITH THEIR HANDS ABOVE THE BOAT. And anyway this guy isn't close to being ready to have the paddle in his hands...he needs a couple sessions of just doing poolside rolls (or linked hands with a teacher = even better). The hip-snap is the most important movement - obviously, because if that works, you don't even need a paddle. Beginners are usually VERY confused with the rather complex paddle movement that has to happen - actually it's NOT that complex...but it's complex because it's done underwater, upside down, so it seems complex...the student has to be in a place to be able to concentrate on that movement.
Feedback appreciated.
Would be great if you made of video of someone actually learning how to do the roll, instead of failing at multiple steps.
duh their learning you dense fuck
Feedback appreciated, we do have more and better rolling videos than this one. Check out our “learn to roll” playlist. :)
Would be great if they knew how to teach the eskimo roll...
fabelaktig!
Thanks!:)

Mad Goats Oslo, haven’t tried kayaking. I’ll plan that in the future with my husband in Oslo. Is there any age limit. My son is 13, is it ok?
So cool!
Thanks mate
*Mad Goats Oslo* Wanna be friend?
Do you have more of this?

Lol
Nice 📷👍🏻
Thanks :)
Following you on instragram for a while now and just found you on youtube :-) Great video's! Thanks :-)
if you re-do the commentary on this video and give a bit more explanation into techniques as you use them this could fill the instructional video gap that's missing for the transfer to big water. examples of what i mean: steep drops you could mention that a good starting point is to slam your paddle onto your bow and hold it, that gets your spine in the right position so you dont injure yourself, also you mention the stomp and the strokes but don't mention that it includes lifting your feet and slamming them down as hard as you can. This is probably the only instructional i've seen for bigger drops on youtube it just needs a bit more explanation on what you're doing with your body than just your paddle strokes
Hey, you can email me if you want? I could try to even over a skype or some other way? I would really like to relay this knowledge to you so that you understand. Here is a link to a blog i wrote about boofing...it could help? - madgoats.no/how-to-boof/
Hey this looks incredible! A group of us are coming across from Scotland for the last two weeks of May. Do you have any information on this drop (levels/logistics etc)?
Hope you had fun! :)
Tricking ! I'd land on my head 😂
Hehe, yup, I actually did.
omg, some people really do live on the edge.
Unlike kayaking, edging away from the turn on skiis or motorcycle generally would have disastrous results.
Haha, yea it is only sea-kayaking that you edge the other way because they are so long. When river-kayaking you edge into your turn. :)
Good times.. no doubt. Ever in Cannon City CO.. - Drop in on us. - Mb4M
Will do! :)
