  I think at this level of difficulty there is no need for reinforced weapons and the enemy's bullets must be faster and enemies must shoot immediately without waiting period, the turrets should have double health so that they have time to shoot a bullet...

  Congrats on completing Extreme Ultra. Maybe you can request the speedrun site to add the option for this difficulty (a bit strange it's not already an option tbh). How would you rank it in terms of difficulty compared to other Contra games on their hardest difficulties?

  For me I've played many other Contra games and I would argue Extreme Ultra in this game is harder than most of them. It requires perfect play, the right weapon manageable, which character you use means different strats for stages and bosses, weapon swapping for bike stages and to kill bosses "faster" and most bosses are so random in how they attack that it seems you need to have luck to avoid certain attacks. I personally don't think there are going to be that many runs on this difficulty for various reasons.

  So on extreme mode, you got health meter and if you lose all of your lives then you can start at the begining of whatever level you are at. On extreme ULTRA mode, you have default stocks and you got to clear the game 1cc if you lose all your lives on this mode, then you have to start the entire run all over again.

  @@omegalovania Uh, extreme does not allow you to start from the beginning of the stage when you get a game over. In fact a single game over means you start from the beginning of the game, and I would know as I did a test run that I recorded up to stage 7 and when I got a game over on that stage I had to restart from the beginning of the game which is just like extreme ultra. Now in both extreme and extreme ultra you can quit and save then resume at anytime from the last stage you left off but the difference is that extreme lets you resume from where you left off even if you close the game just like arcade mode. However, due to either an oversight or a bug extreme ultra deletes your save every single time you close out the game so you need to keep the game on until you beat the mode and to me that is nonsense as extreme allows permanent saves and extreme ultra doesn't so I hope they patch that. The good news is that it's confirmed that this game will get updates so I hope they fix that and the bugs it has.

Extreme has a health bar and Extreme ultra does not, but here is what both modes has: No perks, no in game continues, stock lives only, more enemies on screen, more traps on stage 6, bosses have way more health to the point that weapon swapping is the only “quicker” way to deal with them or else you'll spend 4+ minutes on most bosses, when you quit and resume from where you left off you can't change your character like arcade. Basically I only see a few people beating these modes on here and the difficulty increase from Hard to Extreme/Extreme Ultra is massive.

  16:59 Snow Bike Stage 5 - the fact that they are getting shots off on you, and you are having to jump over their shots, means you are killing them too slowly. Hardly anything in stage 2 or 5 should even be able to shoot a bullet before they are dead IMO. I go with H2 and C2 for the bike levels (Browny). Bill is still my fav because he doesn't cheat.

  Honestly, I can't stand stage 2 and stage 5. You are restricted to a vehicle. So if memorize where every enemy will appear, and have the meta weapon setup, there's nothing you can really do to improve your time. You can only improve you prediction where the enemy is coming from and your aim, assuming you aren't using Browny and H2 H2 weapons. or H2 C2.

  I've been watching your Contra Galuga vids bc you seem to be the most skilled player putting up vids. I have 100% the game and beaten it probably 30 times. I like your skills and I'm interested in your button config. I also am curious, are you doing something special to dash faster after dashing. To me, it seems to just be timing specific, and not just mashing dash to get it to come out fast as possible. I see you dashing like mad, and if I try to move that fast, I just can't consecutively get the dashes to keep coming out as fast as you, as I am trying to use the perfect timing to dash over and over.

  @@omegalovania any time i play speed run, it only gives me 7 stage bonus. Another bug. It doesn't hurt anything at this point. It's already 100% achievement at this point, so credits don't matter or affect score.

  Are you going for fastest speed run and highest score combined? Highest score will slow down your run. Do you play on D pad instead of stick and/or do you change "Aiming Style" options to "8 DIR." instead of "360 aim"". I'm just trying to copy the best!

  Yeah it's a big game bug that they need to fix. I had that issue where I just die for no reason at all when nothing hit me and even when there are no enemies/bosses on the screen.

  @@bgaming181Yes, it allows for faster fire rate to kill enemies and bosses faster and is pretty much required on the Extreme difficulties due to more enemies on screen and bosses having way more health.
