Glad you love it as well. It's one of my fav songs of ST. Have you read that the music video was originally made for Nazareth? If you put the video on and play Nazareth it's perfectly fitting.

II mentioned in his drumeo video that he often writes the drum parts after he has heard the vocals. So i guess you're right! He also mentions he often does the drum parts live differently from the recording. Hope we find a recording of this song somewhere, personally haven't seen it yet. Maybe you could do a reaction to the drumeo vid, too.. 😊

Imma help you out - (Hannah -B-A) Yeah Matsuri the Guitarist has a very percussive element to her play style. She'll lock in rhythmically with the kick drum to add meat and chunkiness to her chugs. Giving them more punch and energy. It was a subtly Eddie Van Halen used in different ways to give VH a fuller sound. Side note - he played drums first.

Welcome to Harajukucore! Thanks for reacting to Hanabie (Ha-na-be-eh). They refer to their distinct sound as Harajukucore, a mix of metal, punk, electronic, pop, and rap. The name comes from the Harajuku district which is famous for its trendsetting street fashion, music and art scene. You can definitely see and hear those influences in the video. Hanabie are Matsuri - guitar, vocals, compositions. Yukina - clean and harsh vocals. Hettsu - bass and chorus. Chika - drums. This vid features their old drummer, Sae. Their newer videos, like this one, have closed captions for the lyrics. Just hit the [CC] button. If the button isn't functional, check in the description. 👍 Here's a few song recommendations for ya -'We Love Sweets', 'Otaku Lovely Densetsu', 'Be the GAL - early summer ver.', 'NEET GAME', 'Envy', 'Reiwa Dating Apps Generation', 'Tousou' (run away).

I keep saying this to people new to Harajukucore, but any one Hanabie song is insufficient to draw conclusions from, no matter how much you like it (or not). You need to check out at least a couple more to get the broadest idea of what the genre is all about. Hanabie may not be the single most idiosyncratic project there is, but it is by far the best sounding one such project as long as you enjoy proper heavy music (this song is on the soft side for them). The guitarist is also the band's composers btw and the prime reason for all this madness being brought to life ^^

This song? for an anime? This song is way too quirky for an anime, even though their new anime song is also quite out there I have to admit. So...if you like this song more than Domination, GREAT. Their new anime song, showcases everyone in my opinion. There's only short version available at this moment but so many different elements, kind of weird and catchy at the same time. Giovanni is, even though many people prefer the instrumental version, it also showcases the complex vocal melody. I'm not sure how balanced the new album is going to sound, bacause Brightest Star and Magie have the 70s Japanese music/middle eastern influence like the new anime song. I hope thay are going to include something very different from those 3, other than 2 collab songs. Speaking of Balance, please check out their song Balance. I warn you, many people don't like it that much, but it showcases everyone. Very unique. But I love Band-Maid because of their unique note choices, rhythmic playfulness. And, check out Moratoriam (live, if you can find one), I personally find it's also a vocal showcase. The rhythmic sense that Saiki exhibits in this song real really wowed me.

Hanabie are great. Interesting mix of unclean vocals, Kawaii vocals, bit of rap andthe lead guitarists really nice voice. They are really fun and very high energy. The classic first contact Hanabie reaction is "We Love Sweets" "Tousou" also goes pretty hard And "Be The Gal" is fun It is worth looking up Hanabie lyrics as they usually deliver some kind of social message in a fun way. This one was about the insane Japanese work culture, as well as elements relating to sexual harassment. ------- Here are 9 more Japanese women metal bands fun for you, and 5 fronted by women; Lovebites - The Hammer Of Wrath live Broken By The Scream - Sayonara Birthday MV NEMOPHILA - AMA-TE-RAS [Official Live Video] Passcode - Taking you out MV Fate Gear - Battle Against Justice (Single ver.) - All-female metal band FATE GEAR Gacharic Spin - I Wish I MV Aldious - Go Away MV Bridear - Still Burning MV Marys Blood - Marionette (MV/Full version) Kosame - Cord MV Mardelas - Patriot Anthem” (Official Music Video) 2023 Otoboke Beaver - Don't Light My Fire MV (not metal, do it anyway :D) KOIAI - A New Picture live Unlucky Morpheus - [Official Live Video] Unlucky Morpheus「Angreifer」 ------- And now some male Japanese groups, although half the time you wouldn't know they are male ^^ Jiluka - BLVCK (Official Music Video) RYUJIN - Gekokujo (Official Video) | Napalm Records Lyrica - リリカ「Strange Rabbit」MV FULL NINGEN ISU - Heartless Scat MV Good luck!!!!!!!!

This song was a huge breakout for them this last year. You seem to be hung up on language, damn does it sound good or not. The video clearly shows Japanese toxic work conditions which is a huge social issue in Japan. Hanabie’s style is they do what the fuck they want to do, kawaii, voice, cleans, screams, growls, rap the do it all sometimes in one song. They are heavily influenced by the legendary Japanese band, Maximum the Hormone who also flow through genres. The OG 1st song is We Love Sweets but it has a rap part. I myself pretty much hate rap music but dig the shit out of what they do here with it. Maybe Otaku, Lovely Densetsu or Be the Gal would be good for you.

Yeah, I'm the polar opposite of this person - I don't care at all what is being said or in what language. To me a voice is just another instrument and - despite putting a lot of thought in their lyrics - that's exactly how Hanabie approach their vocals. The way certain vocals sound can definitely be a dealbreaker and Hanabie are by far the most vocally intensive band I've ever listened to - there are songs with three vocals doing like half a dozen different voices lol - but they just always hit home with me ^^
