The jaw pads are its weakness. They get crumbly and break apart over time. But there is a man on Etsy who sells replacement jaw pads he created with his son. They’re far better than the originals and look like they’re built to last.

I caught 4 mice in 2 days using these snap traps, which were invented in the 19th century I believe. You really can't improve much on a good initial design.

Really hard to get the Arm bar over the Kill bar, the Arm bar is very Short and it does not stay under the Kill bar - tried several times and couple of close calls :) If anyone has advice on this part, or if there is a Video that shows how to SLOWLY show this Critical part would much appreciate !

Man this thing is INCREDIBLY sensitive. I only managed to place 1 on the ground without it triggering. The moment it touches the ground, it triggers. I literally cannot be gentle enough

For mine I had success setting it on the floor and using my big toe to hold the kill bar. I used my thumb to lift the cheese until it held, removed my hand, then VERY slowly removed pressure with my big toe. Only issue I've had was I can't move them from where I set them cause they're so sensitive

The “firm” and “sensitive” settings are a joke. It’s more like “sensitive” and “heart attack” as they usually go off in my hands if they don’t go off as soon as I set the down with surgeon-like precision.

I notice they skip the part of releasing the spring part...tha is when the traps often spring and can damage your fingers,is there a trick to this I dont know? Rat traps are even more dangerous to set. Poison is a lot easier BUT i dont use it because it kills raptors...hate even killing mice but.....

With the trap I bought, the "F" position for the arm bar is sensitive and the "S" position is firm. Try it yourself without using that scary kill bar. Hook the arm bar under the "S" & "F" sides in turn, applying pressure to the arm bar with a finger under it. Then gently touch the bait platform to determine which settings are firm and sensitive.

Honestly, if they are so much trouble to set that commentors are having to do things that aren't shown in the video - bend the arm bar, rough up the arm bar, do the hokey pokey and say "shazam" three times - I'm moving on. I don't have time to kill figuring out how to finesse something that should be pretty straight forward. Never again Victor.

My first mistake was I kept the bar to the far left making the trap too tight to spring. 2nd, this mouse seems to be smart and pull the cheese off the yellow plastic. Peanut butter hasn't worked for me, as the mouse doesn't touch it.
