I would like to see a thumb safety on this gun. Especially carrying in the pocket
Thanks for making these videos, this is what we should be doing as a community, helping each other and companies make better products, Folks out there, don’t be fanboys and get married to a brand. ALL companies can have quality issues, this is a great pistol but clearly there was a quality escape with a large batch of guns. Seems to be a combination of rear and front sight issues. I am a bit disappointed that FN did not come clean with a fix, but if it’s a sight issue just do the math of having to replace so many sights with a recall. That’s why they are staying tight lipped.
Same issue with mine, I love the gun carry it everywhere, but always shoots low left at the range. It’s not the shooter guys it’s the guns sights. None of my pistols have this issue. I am not overly worried when carrying, b/c if I need it at close range I can hit the target even if a few inches off center. But I do want to get this fixed, I like precision.
Just do it. Go dig through your guns and find that one or two that you never ever shoot maybe never have shot. Take it to your gun shop sell it or them and then pick up The weapon that may save your life being small and light and quality. Do you really need that crap in a shoebox. Defray your cost and enjoy your gun .
AK made for military, if wearing bulletproof vest ak stock perfectly fine. But you can do it, looks good.
Did the 507k fit without any adapters?
How does this do against little helicopters?
FYI, the magazine is not (NOT) a 10 plus 1 magazine. The magazine holds 10, then plus one in the chamber for a total of 11 rounds.
Yep. Thanks for the clarification
I did the original 3.5 connector with the spring kit, also replaced the factory striker with the titanium striker with the Glock store double diamond barrel on my 30 year old Glock 22 and I must say. she's fun fast and accurate. She hung in there with my friends Staccato CS ....
Thanks for your review. I hope S&W is watching. All reviews I've seen show guns are shooting left! Please move rear sight right.
S&W Bodyguard 2.0 is a great new design. S&W is killing it!!! And two magazines included.
They have a hit with this .380 for sure! Thanks JL
This goes on Magpul Mlok picatinny rail sections right
You talked about the canik, if that's the MC9 I would love to see the size comparison. I currently have that one and I would love to get something like this for ankle carry. I also have to use the extended baseplate on the MC9 12rnd.
My left ear is so lonely....
You've got to be kidding me on that price.
Anyone seeing the safety version for sale yet? Is the price higher. I've got a $399 deal at Palmettory Armory but no safety option at that price or even extra yet
Yes, but I believe price is the same. LGS got one in and sold it for $450 immediately, but they are $50 higher on everything. I’m expecting a price of $350 after initial sales cool off.
Issues with mine thus far. Racking 12 round into chamber, it doesn't feed into chamber. Gets stuck. Lock slide back. Pull out magazine. Bullet flies out of ejection port across the room. Racking into chamber manually doesn't work with 12 round mag. Have to rack fast and hard with 10 round to avoid this problem. Also dry firing, sometimes trigger pull hits sticky point. 12 round mag doesn't drop freely. I'm copy paste this in other 2.0 videos
Check your audio balancing when editing :)
Picked mine up yesterday but haven’t shot it yet. My only gripes so far: The mags are a pain to load. Like…really hard. And getting the 12 round mag into the gun all the way when it’s topped off is damn near impossible when you have a round chambered. Had down load it to 11 rounds to get it in the gun.
Compared to a Colt built today 2024... I hope you still have that rifle
I do 👍
Wow, everyone is posting on this gun. The new hot item?
Yes. The new hotness, RC
👍
Fantastic video and gun
Great Job. Subscribed.
I picked on up and love it. Shoots nice and not snappy at all, dissapears in my front pocket, slimtuck easy to hide. Great great little pistol. I love it. Looks like it would be big, but it’s almost the same size as the original Bodyguard, definitely slimmer than the LCP Max.
Right on, JM
My left ear liked this video
Lol maybe I have my headphones on backwards.
@@rushthezeppelinlol! You definitely do because my left ear really loved the video too.
I noticed you said it had a stainless steel frame but its actually a tungsten infuesd polymer frame. In the words of SIG Sauer "The weight was increased to 43.5oz thanks to the innovative TXG tungsten-infused grip module. This new product is the first of its kind in the firearms industry with the weight of steel and the flex of polymer" . "The TXG Grip Module uses tungsten-infused polymer that is then molded into the part" . The slide however is stainless steel.
"send it out to 30 feet", huh??? looks like 30 yards to me, but I am NOT there.
Audio is coming out of left ear only... =\
Amazing gun! Now i have to sell my LCP Max to get this one !
Decent video review, but whatever that little roar is between takes has got to go. It’s jarring and stupid AF. Regardless, looks like I’m replacing my G42 with something thankfully better than an LCP Max. Thanks S&W!
...I have LCP Maxs....I recommend going Bodyguard 2.0...
Is it rated for +P+?
I should have covered it in the video and forgot to. (It is not +P or +P+ rated) 😢
This is the 2nd review that stated the 10-round mag does not lock open while the 12-round mag does. In the following review it was stated that the 10-rock mag locked the slide open at first when mag went empty but no longer does so. He said the 12-round mags does lock the slide open just as reported in the above video. kzread.info/dash/bejne/dGyf0dtwZbfIZLQ.html&lc=UgxUzU5qeRnEb3PtTfh4AaABAg.A67QS8U1e6hA68aCHKC_oX
That's what I don't like about the LCP Max. The gun chassis takes up that space not allowing for a high grip. I'm impressed with this gun though. Gonna get one. P.S. Alien Gear makes a sticky holster with a belt clip to make for a more secure fit and won't slip out when you're shopping and the gun falls out right in front of some mom and her kids. 😮
No offense but your audio stinks. Can't hardly hear you
I wanted to get a pocket .380 but the original LCP turned me off because it was very uncomfortable to shoot, like it genuinely hurt the web between my forefinger and thumb. After one mag, I put it down and never shot it again. I was told the original Bodyguard was very similar in that it was very snappy and not comfortable either. All I need to know is how comfortable is it to shoot the new Bodyguard? Especially compared to the original LCP. For reference, I daily carry a P365 9mm and can shoot it just fine with no discomfort in shooting.
I do carry and LCP Max in the summer but it hurts my hand when I fire it. I never fire more than 2 mags. More often just one. mag. I would recommend rent one before buying. The range used in this video cost $40 a month for unlimited range time and also provides unlimited rentals for no extra fee.
@@raykettel1837 Thanks for that feedback. Glad I didn't rush out and by the LCP Max when it first came out. This also leans me more to the Bodyguard 2.0
@@NobleOmnicide ....Bodyguard 2.0 is way better than the LCP Max. I have Max's. Handled the BG 2.0.
@@rickthompson1422 Thanks, I appreciate that. For a carry gun, I'm of the position that if it's not fun to shoot, you're not going to train with it as much as you should and that's a detriment. It's also why I never bought a pocket gun like the original LCP. But I still want a carry option that's smaller than my P365
Why bother carrying if "only God is in control"???
I always cringe when watching people on You tube constantly putting there hands and fingers in front of the barrel of handguns! It's just a very bad habit that should be broken! Remember the rules about never pointing a gun at something your not willing to destroy and treating all firearms as if they are loaded!
I noticed it too and it distracted me from listening to what he was saying.
Liking this. Maybe they will emulate this with the Shield Plus 2.0.
Yes. That would be awesome
I got an Apex Tactical trigger kit on my Shield plus which makes it pretty much perfect plus the trigger reset it more tactile and audible. Also, the Apex trigger shoe sits farther back in the trigger guard giving more room for the finger to get on the trigger more assuredly. Also, got the trijicon u notch night sights with the yellow ring surround on the front tritium insert
@@LilYeshua was more referencing the new slide serrations and frame texture.
Audio sucks!!!
Looks like it shoots left. Maybe sights need adjustment
It's a grip thing. I think Honest Outlaw talked about it.
Dude. He’s a right handed shooter.
i REALLY wish it had a 3" or 3.5" barrel.
S&W M&P 380 EZ. I really thought they would come out with a Equalizer in 380 by now. Some hate the grip safety on the Ez models. My carries an EZ 380 because it has softer felt recoil than 9mm. I have a LCP Max but due to hard muzzle snap she has never fired it. If the Bodyguard's felt recoil is better than on the LCP Max like all say then maybe my wife would be able to conceal carry it. The 380 EZ is harder to conceal properly for my wife unless she wears a loose layer on top.
There is no h at the end of height.
I am really interested in purchasing one of these, but It looks like Smith and Wesson’s initial production was only enough to satisfy the influencers and online promoters. The bodyguard 2.0 is not available for sale anywhere that I have found. I hope this only means it is hugely popular and not a long-term supply issue.
You’ll find one soon brother. It’s worth it
I went yesterday to my local shop to compare it to my Shield Plus and the LCP. They only got 1 in stock from SW and it had already sold before I got there (they still let me compare sizes). They said that they don't know when SW will send more because SW is out of them. It seems that they didn't create a lot before launching.
I found one this past Saturday.
I found one this afternoon and was really impressed. They had one without TS and I almost went for it but instead chose to be on list for one with TS. I realize this can be controversial, but this is what I prefer and will get it when they have one in stock. They said it could be days or weeks but shouldn't be "too long." It was also nice to see they were not inflating the price like I had seen as some places online.
@@bsalvis Lack of TS on LCL Max was not appealing. The new Bodyguard 2.0 with a TS interests me very much.
Great review! Thanks.
Back at ya, Spock. Thanks
What are you r thoughts on the p365 .380
Haven’t shot it, brother However, I’d imagine it’s a solid option. I’m a big fan of Sig
With modern bullet tech like Underwood's Xtreme Defender, Xtreme Penetrator, XTP and Defiant Munitions TCX, 380 is without a doubt a viable defense option. I did not like shooting the Bodyguard 1.0 and the LCP Max wasn't that much better. Hopefully, the new Bodyguard 2.0 will be a viable deep carry option for me.
I have no doubt that It will be brother. I haven’t shot extreme defender right through it but I like that round as well.
They need to port it over to 30 super carry
That would be interesting. I have the Smith and Wesson shield and super carry. It’s a good shooter as well
@@Guns_and_Outdoors_Channel Kind of reminds me of Elon Musk and the rest of the EV MFG. If you build the electric car using an ICE frame /body, it's not going to be as good/efficient as if it was built from the ground up from scratch. Most .380's with high capacity, and the first run of .30 SC are build from a 9MM guns frame, they just soften the recoil spring and add the appropriate sized barrel, so the overall size of the gun is too big, not sized right for the caliber. This gun's proportions are perfect/correct for it's caliber. If they do, do a .30SC they'll probably have to up the recoil spring/system. and I'm hoping they keep the frame size the same. Over all this guns looks perfect, the only thing I would add /change would be to modify the slid takedown lever so its part of a gas pedal. One thing that's weird with this video is the audio, while you're firing the gun, the gun shots sounds different, like some shots border on sounding like squib loads, some sound suppressed, then some sound like what I expect. But most likely it's just the camera's mic, not reacting/recovering fast enough. Looks like a great gun, I predict it will sell out multiple times, causing price increases, during it's manufacturing run.
Audio is bad
How would you compare the recoil to the Shield EZ .380?
The .380 Shield has virtually no recoil with proper grip so......
