I wonder what Athena thinks of Kratos' trip to Valhalla. She lost that little leverage she had, the little emotional damage she could still cause as Kratos is at peace with his past. If she is to become antagonist again, then she must be capable of more than trash-talking Kratos.

Athena didn’t make him feel bad or guilty. Valhalla only drew from sorrow and guilt. That’s why Helios was there. Kratos felt bad for killing him. Hercules wasn’t there because Kratos literally admitted to tyr “no, he was dangerous” saying he didn’t regret it

He hates them. But he uses them because he’s stuck with them. He only picked them up that way because he hadn’t used them in so long. It was the tragedy behind them he was feeling. Hesitation like “Am I really going to use these again?” He had to equip them. Unlike with the axe, his wife’s axe. Only good memories are with that axe.

He’s careful when putting them on because he knows what they’re capable of when in the hands of a great warrior. He drops them carelessly because he knows it won’t hurt them, and he has no good feelings towards those blades.

Normal kratos’s beard blocks so many micro emotions that you can see so much more clearly with the young kratos model Also, young kratos showing literally any emotion outside of murderous rage is a little uncomfortable

However, if they plan to do a scene where Kratos somehow ends up talking to or fighting his younger self then they should bring TC Carson back to represent young Kratos.
