@10:26 I just realized the statue / decor on the wall directly behind Rinoa in this shot looks similar to the vessel that imprisoned Adele, and it kind of looks like Rinoa is hung up. In the original ballroom dance scene you can see the top part of this statue but the camera is always angled to prevent showing the lower half. In the original ballroom scene if you look closely there are statues and pillars that seem to be designed to look like some of the sorceress enemies you encounter in Ultimecia's castle.

If you read Brahne's background. It was actually more tragic. Her father dies in war. Her mother died when she was 20. Her first true born daughter died just after being born And then her husband died too. (Right after adopting Garnet) I think her "greed" is more of a coping mechanism for her loss.

Ratchet Lee (Red Panda) betrayed the Red Panda Lee Family and Friends, and killed people in Toronto, and even burned down the entire area. Ming Lee and Mei Lee both saw blood on the walls outside the Red Panda Lee Family and Friends Temple, they both rushed over to the men that were hurt and stabbed. Ming Lee: "Are you okay?! What happened?!" Mei Lee and Ming Lee both transformed into their red panda forms. Mei Lee (Red Panda): "Oh no. The whole area in Toronto is burned down." They both saw Ratchet Lee (Red Panda) killing another man. Ming Lee (Red Panda): "No. No! Ratchet. My son. How could he!?" Jin Lee: "He betrayed us all."
I just saw "Passengers (2016) for the first time today and I cried ugly tears. 😅 Because Final Fantasy 8 is my favorite Final Fantasy. And I got flashbacks.... I fell in love with the game back in '98/'99, when it came out. And have long since not touched it. Sold all my stuff a long time ago. But those memories, that romance... They will forever have a special place in my heart....🥹🥰

I had played Final Fantasy 8 for the first time back in February, around its 25th anniversary. After completing my second playthrough I have to say I really love this game. Granted I had a hard time with it, at first with the whole junction system, drawing magic, managing my GF etc. But once I got the hang of it I really had fun with it, whether it was the enemies I fought, exploring all the places I visited, interacting with the characters and knowing their stories. I loved the romance between Squall and Rinoa. It really was an opposites attract that enjoyed so much. Squall was definitely my favorite because I just love loners who deep down are good people. And this ending, my god this ending feels like a reward after everything you go through in the game. Seeing Rinoa finding Squallin the field of flowers, seeing Seifer smiling, though I wish we could’ve seen him reconcile with Squall and the gang, but I’m happy that he’s with Fujin and Raijin and having a good time and that he’s free from the darkness Ultimecia put him through. Then we see Laguna at Raine’s grave as he remembers the night he proposed to her. Then reuniting with Ellone, Ward, and Kiros. Then we get to Balamb Garden party and everybody is celebrating. Irvine is such a rascal. We finally got to Zell with his beloved hot dogs. Selfie was so adorable. Quistis is super gorgeous. Eden and Cid together. The music is amazing especially hearing Eyes on Me. Then we see Squall and Rinoa see the shooting star and smile at each other and kiss. It’s one of those endings that I’m glad it’s a happy one which I feel is needed more in games. Now do I think this is the best Final Fantasy game ever made? No it does have its problems. But do I think this is a bad game like a lot of people have been saying it is? Absolutely not! I think this is a great game. It has become one of my favorites now. In fact dare I say I think I like it more than 7. There’s just a certain uniqueness that I see in 8 that made me love it. My only regret was I didn’t play it sooner because I just kept seeing reviews that said it wasn’t a great game. But I’m glad I played it, I’m glad I loved it and I’m glad that there people here who love it too. I will always love playing this game now that I know it’s a great game.

Even with the higher humor ratio, dorky character designs in some places, and all that IX has in its oddity category......underneath it all is some of the most powerful story writing to grace the series.
