Apples and oranges. Dollywood is great if you love coasters. However, if you love theming then Disney is hands down better.

I'm very glad Six Flags Fiesta Texas is the best over other Six Flags parks. Be care on the roller coasters and speak to an employee about the weather. Just enjoy your yourself with the family. Maintaining is the key 🗝 to a successful amusement park.

This is an amazing video, I am going to this park for the first time and i want to make sure I plan a good day to go, so it would really help me if you can give me an idea on how windy it had to be for some of the rides to shut down. (like how much mph the wind is)

  • @3rdPlanetTravels

Not sure what the gusts were that day. But it was a very nice day. Not a day I would describe as windy in the slightest. I know in many other reviews of the park I've heard other people say the same about the frequency of them shutting down those rides near the quarry walls. Also, don't miss their new drop coaster that wasn't open when we went, but is now open! Good luck!

I could se that se sat on your lap in one of the clips. Was that just the way to go? And would you suggest bringing a car seat from home if possible? Thank you so much in advance! Yeah there wasn't any car seat laws. So that's what we did. Not ideal of course. Bringing a car seat from home would probably be best, however. With the way airlines are right now you're all but guaranteed to loose it. So you probably still won't have it when you get there. If you plan on renting a car you could see if they have car seat rentals. Sorry I don't have a better solution for you. Best of luck!

Dollywood is without a doubt one of the best parks in the nation! There’s much more to this park than just the rides, the quality and friendliness of the staff, the park’s location, it’s services, the cleanliness of the park, how safe you feel, the price vs experience, and the quality of the food are all very high marks for Dollywood! Also when visiting here everyone should also plan to visit Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Cherokee NC, and the Great Smokey Mountains National Park which are all equally in and off a HUGE amount of different experiences from fun, food, and culture to shopping!

Make sure you plan to also spend time in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg! Also take some time to see the beautiful Great Smokey Mountains National Park and visit Cherokee NC. All of these are very easy to visit as they’re all on the exact same road you’ll take going to Dollywood. You could literally spend weeks here and not see everything in the area! It’s a whole lot better and offers every bit as much fun as Disney but at a whole lot cheaper price.

As a hardcore Dollywood fan it was cool seeing a outsiders perspective. Something I would point out that I think separates Dollywood is the shows and festivals for senior citizens. A huge chunk of people buy season passes (like $130 to $200) and never even get on a roller coaster. For example I bought my mom (63) a season pass for Christmas and it came with 3 free bring a friend passes. So that pass paid for itself before the new year even started.

I grew up going to Dolly🦋ood. It’s absolutely amazing to me how for this park has come from the early 90’s. You’re absolutely correct, DollyWood’s Christmas event is hands down the best. I will say the park is slightly lacking on coasters as of now. With that being said, give this park 15 years and it will be massive. 4 more resorts are in the works, two new coasters, and I would imagine a massive redo of showstreet. The great thing about DollyWood is that the company works insanely hard of making the park better each year.

  • @3rdPlanetTravels

With a brand new section of the park it does appear that they definitely invest back into the parks regularly. Compared to Cedar point it definitely doesn't have as many coasters but you're right. Someday it might. Seems like they definitely have to land to expand.
