One of the best scenes is the muddy fight under the old Severn Bridge. And where he pushes a villain in a swimming pool for ''Spoiling My Chinese''

I kind of get the impression that whenever Trevor Eve walks past a mirror, he can not resist the urge to look at himself in it.

0:15 He'd done two movies at this point, one of which where he was credited as 'Man in shower' So let's not get carried away here, Trevor.

I don't know who any of these people are, but that Boyd impression is spot on. The random yelling and the oblivious obnoxiousness are exactly like the real character

Nice detail in the series how he starts off with more colourful clothes, but as his true character becomes clear his clothing changes to black.

Yes they are horrible and unlike say Scrooge or Mr Dombey or Mr Jingles there's no possibility of redemption for them either. They are really two of the most terrible villains, at least Qulip seems to be having some fun and has a sort of sardonic sense of humour. It's hard to think of two characters as horrid actually, other than Ralph Nickleby and Wackford Squeers maybe. I think though what makes the Murdstones so scary is you identify with David Copperfield as a boy and see then through his eyes and feelings as a child who's got obvious vulnerabilities that a normal adult doesn't have.

I saw this film in 1985 while I was at college over 37 years ago it was great then. Never been able to find the full length film. It was played once in the late 80's but never since.
