  I stand by my assessment. 1) the bag is poorly made and consist of low quality material for the price they charge; 2) I have had stock shocks break from doing a low ramp jump in the street, so yes, if a customer has not upgraded to aluminum/heavy duty shocks, I would not want the stock shocks to be compressed down by the bungee cords. I actually threw our proline bag in the trash. Traxxas makes a high quality duffle bag which allows an RC to rest flat in the bag with no straps ... plus it has room for the controller, tool kit, extra batteries etc. You're entitled to your opinion but if I'm going to spend money, I want quality and a good design. I have no tries to any vendor so I feel free to be honest with my assessments.

  It's difficult to say what the problem could be. If the motor turns on but the controller is not functioning, it could be that the controller is not synced to the car. We have a video on this. If the battery itself is not charging, I'd call the company's support number. There are a number of things that could be causing the problem.

  Great question!! NO you can't use the stock NiMH charger on a LIPO battery. Here's the official statement by Traxxas: "NEVER charge a LiPo battery using a NiMH charger (or NiMH charging mode on a combination NiMH/LiPo battery charger). LiPo batteries can be damaged by over-discharging, which is why the electronic speed control on all Traxxas models has built-in Low-Voltage Detection to alert you when LiPo batteries have reached their minimum voltage (discharge) threshold. LiPo batteries should be stored partially charged, and require a LiPo-specific charger."

  The drawers shouldve folded over to make the front and rear double thick. Thats how the yokomo bags are but theyre smaller.

  Shouldve made it so the bungee cord goes over the wheels and holds it down by the control arms. 4 bungee loops that u put over and behind each wheel.

  I recently purchased that rally it's a great rc drives really well the only downer is I wanna upgrade the motor to vinlioeon or spektrum 3s on my ho vo lipo & possibly add a light kit for nite runs & great video thanks for sharing 🏁🚘

  Congrats on your XO-1, I have an XO-1 myself the older model i bought as a rolling chassis off eBay and built it up with custom electronics since i didn't want the hassle of unlocking it and dealing with the stock TQI radio or stock Traxxas servo. I have run mine quite a bit out on my street on 4s with a 20t pinion but haven't run it at full speed yet i'm also waiting for good weather and a good top speed location to run mine. Can't wait to see the first speedrun of yours.

  @@funwithrcdudes5928 On 4s geared up a bit it handled great although i was using am aftermarket radio with a gyro in the receiver like the Traxxas TSM. My car also has a metal gear servo i bought off Amazon since again i bought my car as a roller and stock Traxxas servos aren't that great to begin with.

  I have ran this a few times and have some videos on you tube running at 89 and 92. The only thing is those tire balloon and rub. But i bought foam tires the i am going to speed run with them. Yeah I would definitely test that out. Get used to it and get a feel for it. Good video.

  Yes, we used the Traxxas Lipo battery. The stock battery does not last very long at all

  @@funwithrcdudes5928 A good battery is a OVONIC AIR from Amazon 2200 mHa 35c 7.4 volt 16.28 WH. $22 for two. Be careful if you do not have a esc for a lipo battery , do not let it go completely flat. I have run this battery to .05% with a run time of 20 minutes. I have this car and it is great. I would recommend putting weight in the other battery compartment to balance the car. You can use a Y connector to run two batteries. Thank for the video a very fun car.

  I just ordered two 2s lipo ovonic 50c 1500 mAH batteries with deans plugs. For RC cars from 1/18 scale to 1/12 My question would be. What would you recommend getting to run both batteries in tandem. A series or parallel connector?

  Parallel gives you longer run time, series multiplies the voltage.

  I had a bag like this, ~10 years ago, and never had any issues. Don't recall if it was the Pro-line or Protek, but they are constructed the same, so it must not be too bad. Reviews on Amain are 4 of 5, vs 5 of 5 for the Protek, but one guy never tried the bag, and gave it one star. Your review would be more useful had you actually used the drawers, instead of just complaining about material that has been used for these for over a decade. What alternative would you suggest Proline use instead, for similar weight and strength/stiffness? Would it be that hard tto run the bungees over a wheel or axle, instead of the body, so you shocks aren't bottomed?

  Hauler bags have been built with this basic design of a zip case and corrugated drawers (originally cardboard) for over 30 years. I had one like this in the early 90s when I raced touring cars. On some bags they are wide enough that you can fit your car in one of the drawers (the Protek 1/8 hauler works like that even for SCT or 1/8 buggy). Many of us took enough stuff that it was still easier to fit the car on top. If you run the bungees through the chassis (like shock towers or bumpers or even just around the axles) rather than over the body, it’s very secure and no need to compress the shocks. The corrugated plastic drawers are an upgrade from the cardboard ones. A few spills of fluids like shock oil or a little moisture from mud would ruin the old cardboard boxes. The plastic ones don’t suffer from that issue. While a different material can be nice, it can also be very heavy. For slot car racing, most of the best boxes were made of wood. Since the cars were 1/24 or 1/32 scale and weighed much less, most of the weight you carried was the box. It would be impractical for a larger scale hauler bag, as the bag itself would weigh 40lbs with nothing in it.
