  As someone with the GED book I got from my local adult education center, I recommend using this video for calculating percents. All the other KZread videos are way too simple, and the word problems in the GED book are exactly like the ones he shows in this video. I take my test tomorrow, I’ll give an update.

  Is it true that 50% of the math GED is algebra? If so what other subjects should I be sharp on just to know enough to pass? I’m assuming Area & Volume? Maybe a little bit of slope?

  x squared +3x=0 how do i solve this with out plugging in multiple choice answers. you didnt explain how to square root a squared number

  You are not solving for x but rather finding which value of x makes it undefined. So the nature of the question lends itself to substituting values in.

  Can you show me how to do the greater than and less than buttons.. inequalities?? From my understanding, there are quite a few of those on the GED MATH testing.. thank you for this, your the best one I found yet..

  So inequalities can't be used on the GED calculator. I need to create a video about them. For non-word problems they act just like equations but if you divide or multiply by a negative number while using inverse operations you have to switch the sign.

  I scored a 144 on my GED math test a couple weeks ago😑 I'm gonna retest next Saturday, I have this calculator and I'm pretty familiar with it, it's the same one we use in class. My issue is the graphs , like finding the Y intercept, or say X |Y 1|3 2|5 3|7 So the X =+1 Y=+2 So you have the fraction 2 - 1 2÷1 = 1 So we have a slope of +1 I dropped out in the 8th grade, I never took algebra, now I understand what FOIL is, I understand the Pythagorean theorem (which I've been using in framing forever (3,4,5 ) (6,8,10) (12,16,20) etc... but now I understand how that stuff works.. A²+B²=C² I'm really loving learning all this stuff, I'm about to turn 50 in a few months, I WILL get this GED...!!.. I won't stop until I do.. My teacher sent me this link, thanks for breaking this stuff down for all of us.

  There are 6 numbers, so to calculate the mean you would have to divide 32 by 6 instead of 5 to get the correct answer of 5.3

  Yes they do. Most likely just using perfect squares up to 12. But you also need to know that the square root of a negative is undefined.
