    Hey Richie, thank you for your time and info shared in this video. I am a golfer in the recruiting process and wanted to know what exactly an area coach is and if it’s something that every college has for each sport. I’ve spoken with my sports counselor and I’ve never heard a mention of an “area coach”. Just wanted to know if you could explain that a little more and whether college golf follows that same process with those area coaches.

  • @richcontartesi
    @richcontartesi23 күн бұрын

    So in golf you don’t have as many coaches as football so coaches aren’t responsible for recruiting a specific area so you just want to reach out to all the coaches.

    Just wait till highschool to worry about offers, start learning about the recruitment process now/Freshman year, and learn from coaches and upperclassmen if you make the freshman team and so on. I would also recommend to not fall for AAU scams because a lot of programs will not help you with development and exposure which is what your there for. Trust me on that, because I was a victim to it. AAU and exposure camps are very important but I would focus on development and grades because those are far more important right now.

    Or 4, the reality is he isnt good enough to give a scholarship too, over a kid that legit got his team to the State Championship and won because of his play. I mean I see what this is about and respect the hustle.

  • @richcontartesi
    @richcontartesi2 ай бұрын

    This assumes you have spent the time to target the schools that match your ability. We have kids who get big time offers who have no state championships and don't live in areas that are heavily recruiting. Getting in front of coaches and being able to sell yourself matters. Stats and championships mean nothing, but they do help with initial exposure.

    Your kid if he is good will get recognized based on his talent and numbers that are shared nation wide you don't need to pay these people. Our son has full ride offers NCSA did nothing to promote him. They only sent us spam from colleges that bought advertising space from them.

    email I just sent to NCSA With all due respect. What am I getting for the $1500 we paid besides spam about camps? HUDL puts his videos together. NCSA hasn't done anything to Promote Preston and he already has offers. I want my money back this is a scam/money grab and has no value. We haven't heard from a single recruiter because of NCSA just bull shit camps from shitty colleges out of state. They weren't even good camps from D1 schools. Every email I get about camps pisses me off even more. Then we get emails reminding us to respond to the shitty camps so the coaches will know we are involved. I doubt any recruiters look at NCSA when they already have access to max preps and hudl. If they have to pay you to access it or features like it did that would explain why we are only getting info on camps at colleges we would never send our kid. You're nothing but a company that plays on the hopes and dreams of parents and kids.

    Hello dear, Richie Contartesi I hope you are well. I have seen your channel and your last few videos look great, but they're not reaching your target audience. No matter how good your video is, without proper SEO, keyword research, and correct titles, descriptions, and tags, you won't stand out from your competitors. This results in losing views, which is a big challenge for your channel. Fixing these issues will help you gain more viewers and subscribers, leading to higher rankings on KZread, all organically. If you'd like, we can discuss your channel further. I believe this will be helpful for you.

    No D1 or possibly D2 coach wants to see a highlight tape of you practicing or at show cases as an under classman.... Absolutely.Wasting your time , they want to see varsity game film against Good teams if you don't have it you're not ready for D1 yet... And if you are D1 material you look like a mutant on the field... It's obvious!!!. And if you wait till your a senior to start lifting in the weight room , you're wrong... Should have started in eighth grade. And this is all coming straight from 2 big ten college coaches. And for goodness sake, make your highlight video as long as possible.They will decide when to stop watching it!

    Speaking as someone who paid a LOT of $ to NCSA to help our daughter through the hockey recruiting process, I can safely say that NCSA was an absolute waste of money for us and regret getting hooked by their sales pitch. I would warn people to stay away. First, as far as we know, they have never reached out to any of the coaches she's favorited. Second, most of the coaches searching for forwards are from D-III schools you've never heard of in distant parts of the country. Three, when you add or remove a video from your profile, it NEVER updates. You have to harass their tech team, sometimes 3 or 4 times, to get them to look at the problem. It's usually a caching issue with Google and they basically have to force a page refresh through somewhere on their end. Endlessly aggravating. My daughter has had one call with her coach/advisor assigned to her. Because of issues with their phone system, many of their calls can't get through if you have an iPhone, due to some blocking issues. It took 2 or 3 attempts to finally settle on a date where she was able to go over game film with him. Not once has he reached out to her in nearly 9 months. NOT. ONCE. One thing that we did find somewhat helpful is that you can upload a few games and they'll break out the highlights and put together a nice highlight reel. But you only get three of them. And you have to wait up to 2 weeks for them to finish. They sent out a customer survey a while ago and I ripped them a new one. They reached out to my daughter, once, and that was it. They didn't bother to reach out to me. They have our money, so they clearly don't care. This is our first time going through the recruitment process. Our daughter is slammed with schoolwork and practices/games. She's always exhausted and stressed, so she has very little time to deal with this process. So they made it sound like they were going to handle the entire process for us. We are busy as parents, have FT jobs, a household to run, etc. We were hoping they would take most of this recruiting stuff off our plate, but you're left to fend for yourself. We thought we found a leg up on other players, but we really just ended up being suckers.
