Robert Caruso Official channel.
Robert Caruso's a Rock singer-songwriter-guitarist from London, UK. He performs live solo or with a band. His albums are in "video format" and can be watched as complete movies; no artist has previously done it. Robert's the opposite of today's Pop music: they're manufactured, he's authentic; theirs is as business, Robert's is a popular art-form. They're contrived, he's inspired. They embrace materialism, Robert's into spirituality. Their music is to self-aggrandize their egos, Robert sees music as a social alternative, a service to others, a labour of love. The music industry creates labels, Robert defies them.
Except for Rock'n'Roll, in its widest sense.

This is a beautiful song but I don’t like the audio
It’s not 1969 and I don’t live in the USA, but today I’m 22 and I feel that way in Russia.
The Stooges Were/Are The Collective Unconscious..
Those times when everything was real
this song is what my life is im born to lose
Killer songs
Pop group are ya ?
Was lucky enuff to see Lou Reed play in late 1980’s! Loved his music and Velvet Underground since the day I first heard it as a 17 year old! A true legend!!
❤️😍
Love Mary Hughes
*What genre of music were The Stooges before 'punk' gave them the 'proto punk' moniker. It's a stupid and degrading as the term 'punk' itself. In fact, people are plain stupid themselves*
This showed up in The Bikeriders and the whole theater was rumbling...
This may have been the bands' first live show after Paul Samwell-Smith left to become a full time producer.
1970 and Loose are the masterpieces of The Stooges and of the Rock n Roll history.
J'arrive pas a entendre bande de crétins
America has had many Presidents, but only one king....Elvis.
LOVE how the sound seems to be cracking the recording gear. Overload.
It breathes and looks for warmth to hold ... it's coming closer ... cloning your flaws ...
Clarification: they covered this song, before the official release of VU's first album. That was because they shipped a few copies to England a year before the official release in 1967. That's how David Bowie came to own one of those copies, and fell in love with the band, and then produced Lou Reed's Transformer album in 1972.
En mi juventud y prepa y unos amigos peligrosos 😢.

From back when Ann Arbor was cool..

I DID play the sh*t out of this on the radio in Rochester, NY where I was a radio DJ when it came out. 👍

The Beatles version (1965) hat goes on in your heart? What goes on in your mind? You are tearin' me apart When you treat me so unkind What goes on in your mind? The other day I saw you as I walked along the road But when I saw him with you, I could feel my future fold It's so easy for a girl like you to lie Tell me why What goes on in your heart? What goes on in your mind? You are tearin' me apart When you treat me so unkind What goes on in your mind? (Uuuuh) I met you in the morning waiting for the tides of time But now the tide is turning, I can see that I was blind (Uuuuh) It's so easy for a girl like you to lie (Uuuuh) Tell me why What goes on in your heart? VU version (1969) What goes on here in your mind? I think that I am falling down What goes on here in your mind? I think that I am upside down Lady, be good, do what you should You know it'll work alright Lady, be good, do what you should You know it'll be alright I'm going up, and I'm going down I'm gonna fly from side to side See the bells up in the sky Somebody's cut the string in two Lady, be good, do what you should You know it'll work alright Lady, be good, do what you should You know it'll be alright One minute born, one minute doomed One minute up and one minute down What goes on in your mind? I think that I am falling down
"The Beatles version"? It's not the same song! They only happen to have the same title... 🙄 Bryan Ferry covered it in 1978 (quoting the chorus from Beginning To See The Light).. kzread.info/dash/bejne/mmmTvNeIg9zfkdo.htmlsi=FRMRssnvaiVpQChX
The main hook is pretty the same. And lyrics covers the same theme a lot.
@@marguskiis7711 No, they are not and they don't. You haven't the slightest idea of what you're talking about and clearly do not understand what Reed was singing about. Besides one song is credited to Lennon-McCartney, the other to Lou Reed. Don't you know what credits, copyright, etc.. are??? My God, people on these social media are delirious! Don't expect an answer to your nonsense... 🙄
@@RobertCarusoOfficial Beatles is singing how a woman is driving the singer (Starrr) crazy, Lou Reed Is singing how a woman is driving him crazy.
@@marguskiis7711 Not at all! The songs have totally different harmonic structures & totally different meanings, except in your head. "Starr"? Strarr wrote nothing, he was given a silly song to sing every now and then. Reed's singing about drugs, up and down as in "uppers and downers", referring only obliquely to a woman: "Lady, be good, do what you should" as in "don't freak out while tripping", because "You know it'll work alright". In a love song, one calls his girlfriend "lady" rather than "baby", "darling", etc..? "One minute one, one minute two/One minute up and one minute down/What goes on in your mind? I think I'm falling down" as in his song Going Down., etc.. etc.. By your lights, "I'm going up and I'm going down, I'm gonna FLY from side to side" is about love and a chick? You've clearly never done LSD or a speedball, have you? One has to spell out the obvious with you. When did you discover Lou Reed? Yesterday? Listen to the music, the sound; his solo's pure psychedelia; transcendence Velvets-style, like the crescendo in Heroin. That's the same as The Beatles' What Goes On to you? How old are you? Do you really have no inkling to how puerile these comments of yours are? Only a child could write such gibberish. I can't believe I'm having this conversation... and I won't. You are delirious! 🙄
Dynamite
Wonderful Velvets tune! Love the lead guitar break. Reminds me of what Eno would do in his career after leaving Roxy Music.
I can't believe I'm just hearing this for the 1st time. Thisk Rocks! 🤘🤘
The Dowliners Sect released a Single with a pre-Velvet Underground-Cover "Why dont you smile now" in February 1967!
Why Don't You Smile Now is not a Velvet Underground song. It was written by Lou Reed & John Cale (and the guys in The Primitives) for The All Night Workers in 1965... kzread.info/dash/bejne/n3ellc2GiLmahqQ.htmlsi=7U9KU3COpZjOovW6
My favorite Velvets tune. Everything about this song is near-perfect, but the one thing that really puts it over the top for me is that swelling organ drone. My god, that just gets me every single time. All the hairs on my arms and on the back of my neck just stand up straight and then the goosebumps set in. They’re definitely gonna have to play this one at my funeral.
Almost Sex Pistols like
This song is under rated and amazingly forgotten and over shadowed.. it is a pure classic
By who
in those days not only the music was a scandal but also the way he dressed on stage.... 🤩
The entire album honestly. Iggy is maybe the most slept on frontman ever. Dude was a genius
This should be a classic rock radio staple
une flyng v alors ca , c est la classe!!!!
Stunning
Great tune / cool lyrics !! Reminiscent of V.U. / Eno ...
Excellent work Robert !! Awesome {video} commentary / expose' ... Sublime .
Good stuff man !!!
I've experienced the Stooges in many different ways and I can attest that that they sound better fecked out of your head.
How much is this guy trying to be mick jager
Lou really needed to do one more lp with Ezrin before he left us...somewhere around 99/00 would of been nice maybe even earlier like in 1987 before NY lp.
El bueno de Dave Edmunds es el productor de este album 5 ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ . Junto a Graham Parker ... son mis favoritos . Gracias por compartir .
