  I'v started using AlDente to control my Macs battery charging since the "optimised battery charging" function in Mac settings keeps defaulting back to 100% charge for weeks if its not plugged in for only a few hours - Optimised charging doesn't work as stated by apple. This is no surprise since Apple have a vested interest in selling more batteries. It's called 'planned obsolescence' and is a strategy used by almost every product manufacturer on the market.

  Benchmark numbers are pointless, the only thing that matters is the actual user experience. I wish you spent more time talking about noticeable differences in every day use, such as time saved when using video editing software or ease of use of different features of the OS's.

  I have last year's version and I'm absolutely in love with it. It may not be the best for productivity but the sheer size and immersion it provides is unmatched for gaming even against my 4K LG C2 42 and MSI 321URX.

  Please do aware that Apple is using multiple NAND chip to achieve SSD's total capacity; 256GB capacity use 2x128GB NAND chip while 1TB capacity use 8x128GB NAND chip. So, each 128GB NAND chip have around 75TBW each. Failure to 1 NAND chip will make Macbook unusable.

  45inch with wqhd resolution seems unreasonable. Especially for the price. It should be at least 5k2k resolution.

  I really dislike WQHD for anything productivity related, especially on anything larger than 27". For gaming it's great though, I'd much rather the higher FPS in the games I play (shooters) vs higher resolution.

  I got tired of taking my gaming laptop everywhere with the huge power brick and noise. Im getting a mac next and wont have to worry about noise and a brick. Just leave it fully charged, wake up and take only the mac. Sweet!!!!

  Hey. Do you think a 27 inch 1440p monitor like yours actually looks good considering all the resolution and font smoothing problems that Mac has? Do you notice any blurryness when reading text?

  Looks pretty good, no huge complaints. I definitely wouldn’t go bigger than 27” for a 1440p resolution though.

  I just want a frameless monitor the size of my two 27" combined. You can even give it two feet/stands instead of those often clunky stands that curved ultra-wides often have. And maybe an option to add 5cm to the height.

  I'm not getting at all, why apple has been downgrading some specific specs, just because the processor is more powerfull and because of that it gets a better performance than previous version, it is artificially limited. It could be a better option and performace if they keep or improve whatever that they decided to downgrade
