    Hi! Good video! I was also wondering if this can fix my problem for my 2017gsa. It happens when i am on highway speeds like 70mph, the gear shift indicator starts to flicker then my engine starts to jerk, i lose control of throttle then when i downshift it goes away up until I downshift to 3rd gear. I tried connecting it to a gs911 but there is no error codes and bmw service cant figure it out as well

  • @zooskifilms

    @benjaminbirrey5542 - When you say flicker, do you mean the gear number fades out to a blank screen? It sounds more like a gearbox issue than a clutch issue, but I would still check everything in the circuit.Also, when you it starts to jerk, does it feel like the clutch is slipping or that it's going into another gear? By the way, are you in 6th gear when this happens?

    I didn't remove the seat to get to the battery cover but it sure isn't easy to do. It is very hard to see and to put the screws back in. I also added a battery maintainer and their is indeed no room for the inline fuse but I just squeezed the wiring out of the battery compartment along the front edge and although it was a tight fit it works rather then cutting out a spot in the battery cover to run the wires through. Great videos Zoosk!

    I wonder what the symptoms are of poor valve clearances? I have a rattling exhaust and slightly shakey Forza 300 2018 model. I guess the procedure is similar for the newer model. Shame that if adjustment is needed new shims have to be purchased. I did the valve adjustments on a nc700 and it was just a case of using tools to tweak it.

  • @zooskifilms
    @zooskifilmsАй бұрын

    @aaronharris5275 - Assuming the gap is larger than the spec, the acceleration would be sluggish. When you say "rattling exhaust", what do you mean by that? I assume the shakey-ness is vibration? At all revs or only a certain range? I checked the microfiche for the 2018 and they do use shims, but check the clearance spec, not sure if the same as the 2014-2015 models.

You don't want to add anything to these models where the engine and clutch share the same oil. Otherwise the next easiest step would be to try adjusting the clutch play at the handlebar. @snufflehound - There are lots of options, just search for one that is 65mm with 14 flutes. Otherwise try this one: www.amazon.com/Performance-Tool-W54117-Flutes-Filter/dp/B00EDT7ZQ6/ref=sr_1_3?crid=OMHFB0ZQHJ4R&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.ENxgJvvFuytCxe9LJHN9-KvG3HdX76KTrBu61vOJ9JORsci_P8HTEJb1BQWHqWMIhBrp1_DrMBJ2UFv4oJE5Nj8rXhFLihiz4PvW7YpaCNRnwK7m59_zGFe6utayxbzITm8yf0XYjdQxYWf17AbJ954WlrBWSQy23CAN-Jzxszj9YbLGd9pmzzSHrXuDXih8zKe4bhtU-2XPe70NQN3zxRKlkYERiT8YFi4GJEZ2a0Y.xgzRYsKLlgGjBNi320a3CT7PG1zWeC-SFbqqldz_bUg&dib_tag=se&keywords=65mm%2B14%2Bflute%2Boil%2Bfilter%2Bwrench&qid=1717175264&sprefix=65mm%2B14%2Bflute%2Boil%2Bfilter%2Bwrench%2Caps%2C97&sr=8-3&th=1

    Thank god you didn’t generate 1.21 gigawatts. No telling where you’d end up.

    There's also a trick to put the shims back in. You use the magnetic pen again and position the shim and then push down on it with the magnetic pen and slowly slide it off to the side.

    @user-ld6wo4rv8h - Yeah, my telescoping magnet was way too strong for these shims, a pen magnet sounds more appropriate. Great tip, thank you for sharing!

    Excellent video and commentary. I may have to do exactly the same to my bike. Same model. Thanks again.

    @shemi4444 - Thanks for your comment, but I didn't quite understand your point. Do you mean the model year 2010 vs 2012? Thank you again!

    Try using a smaller magnetic pen next time. Also, you don't need to label them if you do them one at a time.

    Hi, why you removed the battery if it doesn't interfere on the service.

    @danielvilalba1966 - Thanks for your question. I removed the battery because you have a better visual on the starter motor mounting bolts and as a general practice I always disconnect the battery when touching anything electrical on the bike.

    @juliangalvan8602 - Hello - you have several steps to get to the rear brake light. I will try to make a video this week, unfortunately it is not a simple job! I will let you know when the video is ready.
