That's what am I need
Thanks bro
Legend.
Wayne, sincerely thank you so much not only for this video but for all the tips and reviews on your other vids. You are really helpful in your advice and the knowledge is obvious. Cheers from NZ
Thank you very much
Thanks Wayne. Good stuff. One question: how does a ‘dolphin’ kick compare to the ‘scissor’ kick, efficiency-wise? Obviously there’s some benefit, otherwise there wouldn’t be monofins. Now, ‘dolphin’ kick with bifins is going to be a little less efficient than with monofins. But, does bifin dolphin kick offer advantages over bifin scissor kick? You see almost no one doing the bifin dolphin kick. Why?
What speargun are you using?
This channel is a gem I don't know why it's dead
You haven't been active in here and Adreno i hope everything is well
bro forgot to breath
Still cant hold my breath longer
Great video. Cheers.
Why am I doing the reverse? I belly-in when you breathe in 😅
Thank you. This is very helpful.
I am 5'8" 175, pretty athletic. It sounds like with proper technique a softer fin would really work out better. I seem to fall right on the edge of recommendations for stiffness with the various brands. Thoughts?
Im about the same. It depends on the brand and sometimes the model.. Just got the C4 400 in the vid and I'm glad I got the medium in the end. They seem soft to me but weirdly work using the videos advice.
@@Rob-zp3hn Thanks. I ended up with the medium and love them!!
Thank you so much❤
Very helpful! Thank you! I will start practicing these tips regularly.
thanks for you tips and making this video
Nice shirt
Thank you
Noicceee. Heading up to Cairns towards the end of this year and I am ecstatic to know it's a great area to dive. Still just amateur level at best so this vid helps a lot.
Good on ya mate!
Hy Wayne good tips 👍💪🙏😇
Great and detailed explanation. I am 6'3" / 195# and use soft carbon fins for spearfishing. Tried stiffer blades, prefer the softer ones. Works very well for me till 100ft depth. Thanks for sharing your experience Wayne. Great stuff you share! ><000*>
Wayne, just watched this video because I had slight samba spearing and someone recommended to start doing hook breaths ect as good practice. The way you explained it and the info given is perfect. Please keep up the videos. I’ll be definitely adopting this into my spearing routine. Legend. Thanks
Very important topic - without hook breaths I would have been in trouble probably a couple of times. And it is true to do it always after each dive - even if it was a short and shallow dive. Keep it going brother!
I recon u need to show the way in a pool most if not all people are visual learner's!!!
This is a hidden gem!
Thanks Wayne!!! U just made me want to go try out that technique!!!! :)
Good stuff
Thanks for the Breathing Techniques sir Wayne 😍👍
Many thanks for sharing your knowledge. Will put into practice.
Its good to have older guys like you around i wish u were my uncle, 😂we would be spearfishing everyday. I'm a passionate diver and I've been diving since I was 10 so my dive buddies are about your age now. 😆😅 Cheers to all spearos out there. 🍻🍻🍻🍻🥂🐟🐬🐋🐳🦈🐠🐡🐙
My idol
awesome info
Can you address foot cramps while finning? Is it caused by poor technique, poor conditioning, poor hydration? Any dry land training exercises for the foot/legs you recommend? The bottom of my foot is usually what cramps up.
Cool! Question: Do you remove your snorkel when diving during spearfishing?
im sure he does, you should as well
Yes.
Wayne your a great teacher. Thanks. Question: If this is a daily routine for me (training for a 3 week trip, I dont live in a place i can dive everyday😒) how many times per "set" or times per day do you think I should do?
We’re so lucky to have someone like yourself Wayne giving us tips and advice like you do. Hearing your comments regarding Ant has made me even more determined to improve at his pool training nights. Thanks
Thanks Wayne, great info there!
Some good thoughts behind this wayne, the day I got my watch was the day I realised I had been lucky with my decisions made in the past. Was doing no where near double as a minimum, surface interval is setup 3x my average dive time now and I feel my dives are much easier on my lungs after a dive sesh now.
GOOD SALESMAN
Bien👍
I just got some c4 minimals because I had really heavy and long dive fins before them, and I just seen these tips and tricks for proper usage of the carbon fins, thank you!
Is it good Worth getting I’m caught between them and leaderfins
@@Mlj247 honestly I’d get stiffer fins if u do get any kind of c4 fins the minimals feel too flimsy to me u don’t get a ton of thrust out of them mind you I’m 6’2” 180lbs in a yazbeck wet suit if that makes any difference but I do use like 10lbs of weight because I’m so buoyant
@@Steady007 thanks for the heads up
I have a question, I bought fins with a heel, not full foot, is blades a better option?
Full for gives a more secure footing and will optimise the power transfer. Fins are a much better option than open heel flippers
yet to do my first dive, was worried about areas being desolate, this gives me way more optimism
talk about it. where i live ive done 3 lake and they are all dead. i swim around for hours and i only see one fish.
These are the videos I been needing. About to start spearfishing in couple months and greatly appreciate the advice. Thanks 🧘♂️
Nice one bruv
