    Can't remember which country, but one of them decided to just bury it and hide it as best as possible in a boring location (nothing of scientific interest), then forget it is there. Hopefully no one will bother digging that deep in that area since there is nothing there to get anyone curious.

    Funniest thing is Chinese (Mandarin, Hokkien and Fujinese from what I know) people often call Cantonese a bird language not because of how complex it is but because of the tendency of hearing bird sounds. The same falls back where Cantonese speakers call Mandarin speakers snakes because of the prevalence of Shi/Si

    The old testament is a translation of the Tenakh, the Jewish Bible, as Jesus was the "king of the Jews". This horseman called conquest was likely a mistranslation as the Jewish encyclopedia cites pestilence as the horseman commanded by death along with war and famine. Death being the general of Hades a.k.a. Satan in the apocalypse.

    Georgia might mean "a land of the wolves" but its not actually that clear if it comes from Proto-Indo-European word for mountains, Farsi word for wolf or from something completely different althogether, we dont actually know. Although If it comes from ancient word for mountains it would mean that the name is still accurate.

    It's common to use the bed as a sofa as well (I do). And I have a bunk bed that barely takes up any floor space. Different people have different needs and you should find the things that work for you. Personally, I'd rather get rid of my desk, which I'm currently using as a shelf.

    If I remember correctly in the original context they weren't directly named but instead given descriptions and then people named them based on their description and given that conquest and pestilence are very similar in their descriptions both were used for the same horseman.

    In the continental Germanic languages, we use three words for "put", namely "stand", "set", "lay". The one you use depends on the physical character of the object you want to "put" somewhere. For example, you cannot "stand" a towel on a table, you have to "lay" it. You can either "stand" or "set" a glass on a table, but if you "lay" it then it would be put horizontally. Kinda makes sense lol?

    Literally just put a text on it. They probably have advanced google search image in the future to translate to their language lol. If a super advanced civilization can’t decrypt ancient languages then it’s a skill issue tbh. But if the future civilization came from an apocalypse where technology and knowledge regressed, then this obviously wouldn’t work.

    Korean has words for +3 and +4 days called "글피"(gulpi) and "그글피"(geugulpi), but it's so rarely used that even Korean didn't know about them. Normally we only counts to +2 and after that it's just "x days later"

    I am 100% sure the reason for the name Pakistan that you mentioned is wrong. Please do more research before creating content.

  • @_magnify

    I had always heard the explanation that Pakistan was named after the Urdu word "pak" meaning "pure", but when I researched the actual writings of Rahmat Ali in the 1930s when he invented the name Pakistan, I was surprised to learn he first presented it as an acronym.

  • @mohsen_nmz
    @mohsen_nmz17 сағат бұрын

    @@_magnify Pakistan was part of India, and Muslims decided to have their own country with the UK's support. Even Bangladesh was part of the new country. 'Pak' and 'stan' are both Persian. Pakistan means 'land of pure people.' It is common in Islam to call Muslims pure. In my view, it is a radical name that they cannot change the meaning by making stories.
