@user-nj9ev2th1u glad you liked it and it brought you some good memories of your hometown.
Used to work in Wynberg in early 1990's. The demographics of Wynberg seemed to have changed and not so clean anylonger..
@shanaazcloete8532 wow that's awesome, we always went to Grand Bazaars in the main road. Now Wynberg has changed dramatically, the pavements are taken over by street vendors. Thanks for watching 😊
9:23 NOT Belhar PRIMARY SCHOOL BUT Belhar HIGH SCHOOL

@annawitter5161 glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching 😊
Thanx for showing my Hometown beautiful place
@user-jg7th4pf7f greetings and happy that you could see your beautiful town again
Why do you say Lively Parkwood where you don't even drive within Parkwood itself..what's wrong brother,is it to Ghetto for you or you might be shot at.its true that Parkwood ain't the same as yester-years as these youths are making our once homely area,a haven for gangsterism.what we had those years while growing up in Parkwood could never be replaced by what's expected today.our government should really step in and create an environment where kids can focus on their future instead of looking to gangsterism, drugs and alcohol.its sad to know that we as a race of people has proven to the country that change is not happening..The believe that a race of people can change for the betterment for themselves and their future offspring needs urgent help, care, understanding in different social economic development.not just in Parkwood but all area's where change needs to be addressed as if change doesn't happen then decay will bring our communities down.
@grahamsheldon9306 of course it's lively there as there are people living there😊
This is so cool! The other side of the BIG South African cities, with good decent quality lifestyles. Welcome world! Keep up the good work.
@user-gg2he9pd4k thank you and glad you liked it.

Good morning Allan, My name is Jeff Harrison and for 36 years i have lived in Cape Town and now we live in Pretoria. What makes this video so special is my Grandfather (late) used to stay in the Pastory house behind the Church, My mom (his daughter) and my dad together with my brother and I stayed in the Pastory too, this was many moons ago when I was about 5 or 6, His name was John Ernztern and I think he was the Deacon at the Church, the most terrifying day I had was when they took us up to the Belfry to look at the Bells that the Sidesmen used to ring, those wooden steps anyway this is only on the ancedotes, the next one is of the video you took of Ruyterwacht, my home town when I was still a laaitjie in school from Sub a to Matric, I really thought that when you turned into Paul Kruger Avenue driving towards the old De Ruyter High School, you would have turned left into Wavern street and around the circle into Louis Trichardt Square, thats where I lived, nr 13 Was also glad you did an insert of Summer Greens, when I joined the SA Air Force in 1987, I stayed in the Living In Messes and in 1993 I bought my first house in Summer Greens and watching you drive up Summer Greens Drive, you drove past my street ,25 Galway Road, stayed there for about 3 years before moving to Langebaan Road. A suggestion for another video, why dont you do an insert on Century City and the old Ratanga Junction Kind regards
Hi Jeff, glad you enjoyed watching and bringing some good memories back for you. There's a video of Canal Walk, Century City you can look at, but Ratanga Junction has closed down about 2 years ago. Consider subscribing to the channel, ✌️ thank you 😎
Thanks for the feedback, I am a subscriber to your channel and I have downloaded all your episodes and put it in a file, just like I have done with the Dust Bugs Channel, i miss my home town Thanks for a great show

I just love your channel, grew up in Cape Town and stayed there till 2002 before moving to Pretoria for work
@JeffHarrison-vq3m glad you like the channel, thank you 😎 and subscribed to see more. Hope you're enjoying yourself in Pretoria.
Hi Allan, I'm a first year student going to live in Rondebosch (in Belmont Rd.), tell me please is it safe for a single student to walk around during the day and how safe is the Southern Line Trains Station to City Centre as I'm moving there from Calitzdorp (a very very small town outside of Oudtshoorn).
@walterwhite9168 of breakingbad😊 it's safe to walk about as I experienced, even to the station, however, you still have to alert and aware of what's going on around you. As far as I know, the southern line was up and running, but then the cables we're stolen again 🙈 and it was suspended. So it's an on and off thing that happens quite regularly. Hope this answers your questions. I might add too that there are taxis as well, very convenient but also have to be wary.
@@Allanstravels Ah, thank you so much for the reply Allen. So you say there's a lot of cheap public transport to the City Centre also when did they steal the cables! 😂😂😂
@@walterwhite9168 it was stolen last week😅

@annawitter5161 you've the lucky one! Yes, home affairs is always busy. Have a wonderful day.
Thanks for all the good memories. I am ex-Cape Town living in New Zealand and its so good to see these familiar sights once more. God bless, and stay safe!
@annawitter5161 I'm glad to hear that it brought back good memories for you. Have a wonderful weekend. Thank you for watching and subscribing.
Hey, Allan. Never seen the station so quiet!! I am ex Cape Town {southern suburbs) now living in New Zealand with children and grandchildren. Lekker om Ouma te wees! I still dream about this station, hey! The times I caught the train from Bellville (where I grew up) to go to UCT and study for a teacher. Glad to see the old choo-choo is still there. So many memories hey!
You must enjoy your grandchildren, they grow up so quickly 😊. The station's even quieter now as the trains are hardly moving, infrastructure has been neglected, so they are busy with restoring most of it. Enjoy New Zealand, seems a beautiful country too!
@@Allanstravels yes it is. But it's not where I grew up and spent most of my life
How is the crime here?
@vusumuzimathumo-githend it was rather quiet there and everybody going about their business as usual. Thanks 😊 for watching and subscribing too✌️
👍🏻
hi allan, just wanted to ask if these areas are legal to pain? i am a graffiti writer situated a couple of hours away from woodstock and wanted to come paint here sometime...
@Ethanthomas420 there is someone who is in charge of it I think. There was the guy I spoke to, he seems knowledgeable about the area there. Thanks for watching and hope that you subscribed too✌️
