    I love the in depth review of the bridge cast! Just a quick question. Is there no way to add different mod affects other than the ones allotted in the frame of the bridge cast software? For Example like add a radio voice or other type of modulations w/o a third party software.

    You're welcome. Glad you liked the video. I don't believe there is a way to add additional effects directly using the Bridge Cast. Though if you're running a clean mic signal from the bridge cast to software such as OBS to record, you could add effects there.

    Apple would sell millions of them if they did, but they make too much from selling laptops and tablets separately. I'm sure Apple has the numbers on how many people with macbooks and iMac's, also have iPads. Lenovo doesn't have a large share of the tablet market do they can run with concepts like this. The ideal situation would be for these tablet laptop hybrids to become a success in the windows world so that it forced Apple's hand.

    Forgot to say, yes it was the iPad pro from 2017 with the 10.5 inch screen. Few things I noticed right away. The bezels were smaller on the M4 edition and the display looked a lot better. It's just more vivid, clear and colourful. The display and general usage feels snappier and more responsive too. The cameras and speakers are better too, though I do think the speakers on the old version are still excellent.

    Your view when it comes to a new tablet is bang on, how many people will go out and spend around a grand on the iPad Pro M4 or a top of the range Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra/+ and not use them to the full potential when an older or cheaper one will do the same thing is quite interesting, iPad 9th Gen or Galaxy A9+ will be enough for most people.

  • @KevinMuldoon

    Agreed. And I am exactly the person you are talking about. I was initially looking at the Xiaomi Pad tablets as they did everything I needed, but wanted more premium features such as the higher refresh rate, better camera etc. The premium Xiaomi tablet looked perfect, but was £600 at that time, which was a lot considering how quickly their used prices drop. All of a sudden, I was swaying between a used iPad Pro M2 and a new Samsung Tab S9. Then a week or so after release, I saw someone selling the iPad Pro M4 for £850 on eBay (which they bought for £999.99). I jumped at the chance of buying it. I'm delighted with my purchase and I'm using the tablet every day. Resale value in two years should still be around £600 so it will probably cost me £250 to £300 for two years of usage if I use it at that time. Still, it was a splurge and I would have still have been very happy with something cheaper.

  • @KevinMuldoon
    @KevinMuldoon6 күн бұрын

    A lot depends on your networking setup. You can theoretically get up to around 312MB/s with a 2.5G connection, but it will be less in practice. Is the Synology NAS connected directly to your Mac using the 2.5GB? Are you sure your mac is connecting to your NAS using the direct ethernet connection instead of your local network connection? (Synology have a tutorial about how to do this). Many cat 8 cables sold on Amazon aren't what they promise. Even if you get a legit cat 8, any cable that is cat 5e or better will do the job as you aren't breaking 10G.

In the latest iPads, Apple moved the camera from the top of the iPad in portrait mode to the top of the camera in landscape mode. I could be wrong but it looks like you've got it upside down. One end has a more substantial but shorter stud with a hex-shaped bit, which slots into the superclamp to prevent accidental rotation of the arm even without tightening it down. The other side with the longer stud is meant for the camera/light. Perhaps it'll increase stability if you used it the correct way around.

    Excellent Tutorial! I thought the little camera to open the preview was a "take picture" button! The different cameras having a different set of options is interesting. I have the Tiny 2 Lite, and it doesn't have some of the same option choices. All of that doesn't matter for my use though. Most of my videos are talking head shots, and the default settings normally get the job done... options are nice though. The standard zoom in and out, and follow me / stop following me - can be just about all I need, and yet, they make this just about the very best camera I have ever used. The panning and following are excellent! Also, some of the options I might not see in the OBSBOT software, Windows 11 actually has that in Camera! Things like the Whiteboard, and I think Desktop too... both are pretty interesting. I do not need them, but I can see the fantastic benefit of having them available. Thanks for sharing!

    I read a review for the Hercules Stream XLR 200 and they are complaining about not having the option to send either the audience or personal mix to your connected screen with speakers or other speakers. Is this something that is not a problem on the Bridgecast? I have a tv which I use as a speaker while not being live and when I'm doing basic stuff. I do need the option to get the output of the Bridgecast digitally to my speakers, not by using the aux out in the back of the device! I'm also still doubting if the four channels are enough for me. Are you able to control the other channels (besides the four on the knobs) via software? Sorry about all the questions, but thank you so much for taking the time!

  • @KevinMuldoon
    @KevinMuldoon15 күн бұрын

    No need to apologise for asking questions. I'll do my best to answer. If you check the bridge cast manual, you'll see that the line out port can be set to your mic, your stream mix or your headphone output. I believe the headphone output will be your own personal mix. The aux port is an audio input, not output. Be sure to check out the Rolane Bridge Cast X. I've not tested it myself, but I know it's a more feature rich version with more inputs and options.

    I have a Ryzen 5 3600 on a B450 AORUS M motherboard. It's been like three and a half years since this was a known issue and it's still around. For me the dropouts only started earlier this year and it happened out of nowhere after working fine for years. I can't think of any hardware or software changes I made that could have triggered the issue. I went ahead and updated everything I could including my UEFI and nothing solved it. I tried all the tips and tricks like disabling C-State and whatnot. I even ordered a replacement CPU, and the issue wasn't as bad with that one but it still showed up twice in two weeks. I returned it and put in my old CPU again and the issue happened three times in three hours. Twice in the past three days since switching back I've had a full disconnect where my mouse input stops working until I restart the computer (and if I unplug any input peripherals like my keyboard, they will not work when I plug them in until I restart). It seems to only be with device input though, since I can still hear through my headphones and the non-functional input devices still light up with power and show up in their software (my ROCCAT mouse shows up when I plug it in during this issue). It's super weird. The issue happens on Windows, Linux, and even in the UEFI, so I know this is either a UEFI or hardware issue. Swapping my RAM for a new pair didn't fix it, nor did adding that new RAM to the system with the old RAM to double my memory. Swapping the CPU didn't fix it. I checked AMD's Reddit post and sorted by new and people who have different CPUs and motherboards than me all have the issue, so I doubt swapping or upgrading my motherboard will fix it. This has been my bane months on end as it's gotten worse and worse and I'm just about ready to drop a few hundred and switch over to Intel (12th generation since their 13 and 14th gen CPUs are having their own issues right now). I'm just astounded that this issue somehow STILL isn't fixed all these years later, and that the issue can come up out of nowhere with no clear cause and no working solution.

    I've had an Asus B550-XE for a few years and still have the same problem. Mine supports up to PCIe gen 3, but I have to put it on PCIe gen 2 or everything breaks. It's not just USB ports, the graphics also freeze for half a second every two seconds! External soundcard's output is distorted. I have been following BIOS updates without any luck. But anyway, it is not as bad as you said it is. Just because you are connecting, for example, that NVMe with PCIe gen 3 instead of gen 4, it does not mean it is going to be half as efficient and as fast. Even if your NVMe could transfer data at the maximum bandwidth of 4 PCIe gen 4 pins, the only drawback was that sequential read would be half as fast. In most cases, your NVMe is performing at its best even with PCIe gen 3.

I was using one as a Davinci Resolve scratch drive, which is what you use when video editing. Essentially, the videos get stored on the drive to allow editing etc. At half the speed, my editing and rendering time was affected as the write speeds were dropped. I know these are first world problems, but when you're spending thousands on a PC build, this shouldn't happen. Of course; everyone's use case and situation is different. Sounds like you've had a rough ride with the sound card and graphics card being affected.

    What i dont like is that when the lid is opened 360 it just flaps around as it doest magnetically keep to the back. This would annoy me when sketching in hand or on my lap. Perhaps I need one with a removable cover, or I should pre order the paperlike case which has been thought through a little more and does keep the lid tidy on the back.

    Hi James. Whilst I do have the pencil pro, that's not something I had considered as I'm mainly using it for notes. I can understand why that would be annoying though. It's not a perfect case, but ticks most boxes for me. Would you be better with a case that had a kickstand, not a folio style stand?

    You can just buy 2.5Gbit USB adapter, install drivers and have 2.5Gbit for like $10

    @@KevinMuldoon No, literally USB 3 to RJ-45 adapter that supports 2.5Gbit, costs like $10. Just google "RTL8152/RTL8153/RTL8156 synology"

    @@Adam130694 I can see some discussions online about this at www.reddit.com/r/synology/comments/13kipn5/is_there_25gbe_usb_ethernet_adapter_that_works/ , but have read comments on threads such as community.synology.com/enu/forum/1/post/151480 that stated it didn't work (lack of driver support). Officially, Synology only offers the two 1Gpbs ethernet ports and the 10Gbps upgrade. However, it looks like there are some workarounds. Check out nascompares.com/answer/cheapest-usb-5gbe-lan-adapter-for-synology-nas/, for example.

    is there voice hearing or like mic monitoring because I have a goxlr and looking to get something similar and this mixer is literally the only one that has what I need and it's new. GOXLR has very nice mic monitoring where I can hear myself with no latency at all. Just wondering if this mixer has it and a tab to put it up and down in volume

    Yeah it has mic monitoring. I recommend having a read through the manual as it explains a lot of features like the mixer, inputs etc 👍
