John Williams Isolated Score Anakin’s Theme (Darth Vader’s Theme)
Perfeito! Muito obrigado por compartilhar!
There's a mistake in bar 13. The chord played there is clearly E minor if you listen to it. Maybe it's an issue with copy-pasting, since measure 11 looks the same as measure 13. But it obviously sounds different. Also, the analysis of that section is off. It's in E minor. From bar 11: iv | V | i | V/V | v | iv | V | and then to the dominant of the relative major. (The "V/V v" is of course a short visit to B minor.)
An excellent work thanks
I'm new to music writing, so I wonder why in this case you choose to use sharps and flats before each note instead of key signatures. Is it better for this type of music?
This is a really clean and readable score, but I’d rather not hear the dialogue or sound effects at all. The nuances of Williams’s orchestrations are buried.
I always wondered how the third iteration of the main theme always managed to sound so incredibly triumphant and satisfying despite essentially being the same as the first two. I never realized that there was a key change, actually two key changes, until now. You really don't notice it because it's so incredibly smooth. Possibly the greatest piece of music ever written, from a technical point of niew.
What I would like to know is not simply what he does, these videos are excellent at laying out that, but WHY he makes certain choices. Instrumentation, part-writing, timing...all those things are important elements in which Williams will react to what is going on on the screen. This is what I need to know when analysing a score or a cue. Why is he changing key here? Why does he give the theme to the flutes there? Is something happening on screen that warrants it? Is not film music analysis about what happens on the screen to cause the music to go a certain way? At 2:10, I'm sure we all recognise an F# minor scale when we see one, and it's good to point it out, but I want to know why he is doing so at that specific point? I like to try to find out why something is happening, not just what is happening, otherwise it ceases to become film music analysis and just becomes music analysis. x
I can easily say that is the most touching song ever
Can someone with a little more knowledge than me point me in the direction of the writing style of this cue? This writing is gorgeous ❤
Like is the classical repertoire for exemple!
It's really similar to minimalism, I think there're some similarities to Phillip Glass, but his most famous pieces are mostly for piano...maybe someone other than me has more suggestions
super robota, wielkie dzięki, takie rzeczy sie mega przydają
The Poetry of John Williams… I am speechless After this Music, what is left for us to write?
This says "old version". Where can I find the updated version?
An absolutely fantastic reduction and analysis. This helped me immeasurably.

Strings middle section is pure Elgar.
Love the Cmaj7 at 2:47
Hello oskar , can you do the analisis of : "take of" from phantom menace. Other name of the piece is : " scape of naboo"
Huge props to *Eddie Karam (Edward Karam)* for such badass orchestration.
Thank you ! Great job. KZread is amazing because of guys like you !!!!
I have really cried that 😭 😭 😭
This is very beautiful. I love how inspiring it is, and it makes me feel like anything is possible.
I just wish there was sheet music for "Light of the Force". Its a shame that specific cue wasnt even used in the movie, only for the LP soundtrack. Its my favorite version of the Force theme!
could you please break down the “falcon approaches cloud city” cue that leads up to this moment? the music is fantastic and unique from the rest of the score. i’d love to see it broken down
THANK YOU , very calm
Lux!
Great!
This is awesome!
MuseScore 4's notation looks so nice...
Yes, it looks nice, but there're are still some issues with text and images jumping around the page so I needed to tweak a lot (but there're are still some little details with cosmetic problems when you take a closer look at the score)
Hello! Today is Hans Zimmer's 66th birthday so it's time for another score reduction from "Pirates of The Caribbeans: At World's End" Enjoy!

The "acoustic guitar" might instead be a part for the cimbalom. Also a string instrument, but rather a dulcimer-type one you hit with specific hammers.
Yes, that's true, in the recording you can actually hear guitar, cimbalom and even mandolin in unison. Someone has already pointed it to me in one of forums where I posted my video. Some time ago (while making corrections for pdf file) I checked it with live to picture score and it's guitar, cimbalom and mandolin here. (Unfortunately I had access only to the concert version, for example played in this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hYabpKtph9S9oJc.htmlsi=wUS-vicAzLYAhonO when making score reduction). Apart from this, there's another little change - there're no congas but bodhram instead. Everything other looks and sound correct with soundtrack version

Probably my favorite piece John Williams ever wrote. I can get lost in it.
Hello! Is this the same “Holiday Ragtime” written by James Sutton around 1910?
Hello, no it's a piece composed by me, but the title is the same
Hi! New suscriptor!!!! ❤❤❤
I was looking for an analysis/reduction of this cue and when I saw you were the one to make it I had to click! Great work! It's to see the score set to picture and all the changes that occur throughout the scene.
Do you have Forbidden Friendship???
