Cool video buddy! I'm in the market for something I can take offroading as well as go the distance and the Himalayan has it's advantages but i'm also looking at the Honda CRF250's. any thoughts?
@almostenduro7 сағат бұрын
Thanks for the watch and the comment! It's a tough call, both are good bikes. The CRF250 is smaller, lighter and more powerful however personally I wouldn't want to ride on any great distance, although you absolutely could! I previously had a KTM EXC-F, so similar to the CRF250, great bike and very capable (more so than me!) but after about an hour of riding I'd need to stop and take a break, and the same goes for my Beta 2 stroke I have. I wouldn't want to do any type of distance on them etc. The Himalayan on the other hand is heavier, lower power (unless you opt for the 450, which I haven't ridden...yet!) and not as 'refined' - however, for me I really enjoy riding it. I find it to be capable off road with a few tweaks, knobbly tyres and removing foot peg rubbers etc, and on road it is really at home on A-Roads and smaller. Never going to eat the miles like a bigger adventure bike, but that is not its bag. If you can ride both, I definitely would - even on road, you might find you just gel with one more than the other. I hope that waffle helps! Ride safe!

Hi - thanks for the comment. The only way I could turn it off on the model I had, without the switch, was to hold the front brake and spin the back wheel in loose mud, for example. This would then switch it off. I believe you can also pull a fuse but I never tried this! Ride safe!

More fantastic trails!!
I reckon that's like me now! Same bike, trying to find these trails. Thanks for info earlier today, now have TET trails on map. Is this one of them? Looks great. Richard.
Fantastic mapping on your phone. Is that an app or a download of some kind? Are the routes available from the same source? Ive watched a few of your videos and they're really good. Probably bump into you one day (not literally!) All the best, Richard
Hi Richard, Thanks for the comment and glad you enjoy the videos! The whole TET route is available to download from the TET website transeurotrail.org/ The app I use is called OsmAnd, which is free and into which you can load the route for the TET. The other routes I ride have been found by just exploring, talking to others, Facebook groups etc. Might pass you in a lane one day, I'll be the one stuck 👍🏻
Great video Stuart 👍
Thanks Martin! We'll have to get out soon!
@@almostenduro I’m going out Saturday if you are free. Tiverton/Beer

Hey man great video and great trails :) I'm from Paignton in Devon so should link up some point
Also where is this first woodland trail? Looks really good! I probably have it on a gpx file I have but don't know exactly where
Hi Ollie, Sounds good, happy to link up, might be out this weekend coming!
