I usually play my Takamine EAN 15 C, but sometimes I play also my Classic Guitar Josè Torrès JTC 20C or my roundback Harley Benton HBO 850 Classic

Are you using a heavier gauge on the bottom E and A, a little bit if fret buzz but the top end of town sound perfect. Love the arrangement, many hours of practice there
I usually use D'Addario XS 12-53. This song tuning is DADGCE, so the 6th string tension is a little low. Thank You for your appreciation, really I didn't spend to much time to practice, it's quite easy to play.

I've never had an original ovation, so I can't answer to you correctly but...I can say what I think about my guitar! It's a very beautiful guitar, blue tone is amazing, and it is built good. The Nek (Nylon strings) is very fast and easy to play (for me). It arrived from Thomann with a very good setup. Good sound, better with amp, because of its thin round shaped back. Without amp it has a good sound but not very high volume. It's the right guitar if you want a good cheap and amplified guitar.
