I bought the Pet safe thru wall electronic dog door. We've had it only 6 months. It uses batterys like crazy. So bought recahrgables. They should have made it wireable or rechargeable. Also it's a hassle to change battery's, the battery cover is screwed in. Always fails when your need to lock or unlock in a hurry on the way out to an appointment or something important only to find you cannot operate it as the batterys are dead! The switching to lock and unlock functions is very slow and not simple. Even slower and noisy os the lock and unlock function. The most important ta poorestbdesign of the door os the hinges are weak sauce. The hinges just broke with normal useage 2 50# very smoothe Border collies. As and engineer O had to check it out and O was very dissapointed to find the hinges are nor replaceable and put of way to small in 4:09 thickness and strength plastic. Great concept! Epic Fail..........😢
